AI GeneratedArsenal are looking to strengthen their squad before the September 1st transfer deadline, specifically targeting a center-back, right-back, and left winger. Despite a strong performance against Manchester City, the club remains active in the market, pursuing several high-profile targets while managing potential departures.
Hi and welcome along to AFTV Transfer Daily, the show that keeps you up to date with players
that have been linked with a summer transfer move to Arsenal. The transfer window shuts on the 1st
of September, right, so time is starting to get nearer and nearer and nearer to that deadline.
And listen, Arsenal, fantastic result against Manchester City. Everybody really on a high
after that performance. Brilliant, brilliant, absolutely brilliant. You know, I mean,
every pundit out there, even rival fans. I've done a couple of videos over the last couple of days,
every single one of them making Arsenal the favourites. Everyone eulogising about that
performance. However, we still need to make some signings. I hope we don't get distracted with this
and, you know, we don't get carried away. You know, like sometimes you lose one of these games,
everyone's in panic, you've got to get this person, that person. We know we don't need a lot,
but Arsenal still need a centre-back, still need a right-back or a centre-back who can play both
positions, still need a left winger or a forward. Still haven't been done those. Are they going to
get them completed before the end of the transfer window, which we are getting near to the end.
It's been a strange transfer window with the World Cup being involved in it, but we've got to get
done for me if we are to try and maintain, retain, should I say, winning this title.
Now, a lot of reports out today that Arsenal are set to finally make their move for Esri
Konsai. There's been a lot of talk about this still over the last six weeks. You know,
£30m, thing turned down, Villa want £60m. If you check it out, there's not really been
any formal talks, formal offers. It's just been all lots of stuff behind the scenes,
and we know that Arsenal kind of do operate like this, but according to Football Insider,
they are claiming that Arsenal are set to formally launch their proposal this week to Aston Villa
to sign Esri Konsai. As I said, we've been previously told that, you know, behind the
scenes, they were sort of, you know, we'll give you £30m and Villa were like, no, we want £60m.
That's what we're holding out for, but it hasn't really moved because the player was away at the
World Cup. He's come back, just like we've seen the English players that, you know, played at the
World Cup with Arsenal. We're at Rice and Saka, they've only just sort of come back into the team.
It's the same situation now with Konsai. Arsenal now want to get a move on and get this deal done.
The league starts on Friday. Obviously, he won't be in in time for that, but they want to get him in
time for, you know, well, listen, the window, as I said, shuts on the 1st of September. So, you know,
the next game following that is on the 31st of August. So, can Arsenal get this deal done this
week? But as I said, they're saying, Football Insider, that Arsenal are set to make their move
this week to try and get Esri Konsai. Let's wait and see what happens.
What about Bradley Barcola? We know we need a left winger. They haven't brought in a left winger yet,
well, Cristos Solis. He's been in since for so long, we're forgetting, and he's been looking
really good. But if Martinelli goes, we need another left winger. Liverpool have been the
favourites to sign Bradley Barcola throughout the transfer window. Barcola wasn't in PSG's squad
at the weekend for their Super Cup defeat against Lons. Now, we're being told that Liverpool are
the absolute favourites to sign him, but could Arsenal be plotting a hijack for Barcola?
There was lots of rumours flying around last night that he prefers, excuse me, to move to
Arsenal. We've heard this before, that he would rather live in London and all this sort of stuff.
At the moment, Liverpool are in pole position, but L'Equipe, the publication over there in France,
are claiming that another English club could make a move to sign Barcola. And that club,
we all seem to know, looks like it's Arsenal. PSG also said to be willing to drop their price a bit.
Now, they've been asking for this crazy £140 million fee. They're not going to get that.
We're also hearing reports that they'd accept something closer to the £100 million mark,
you know, probably like £105 million, £110 million maybe. Would that be tempting to Arsenal? We've heard
previously that Arsenal don't want to go as high as £100 million for Bradley Barcola. Listen, in the
current market, that looks like what it's going to take. I mean, let's be really fair. You know,
Morgan Rodgers went for £170 million. Bradley Barcola is on the same level. We've got to admit
that, you know what I mean? He's scored at the World Cup. He's a regular in the France team.
He's won two Champions Leagues. He's in that sort of bracket. So, they're going to want that type of
money. But are Arsenal, the club that are going to put this hijack in, are they plotting this hijack
on Bradley Barcola? Again, we need a left winger. We haven't got it yet. So, want to watch this one.
It's going to be very interesting, although Liverpool's still the favourites. Now, what about
these two? Keane and Yildiz, Julian Alvarez. Two players that we know Arsenal are very, very
interested in signing. Gunner Bloch, a very, very good journalist, really close to the Arsenal.
He said that Arsenal's still holding an interest in both Keane and Yildiz and Julian Alvarez.
But it's going to take, you know, certain things to happen for them to be able to get this deal
done. Both deals very, very complicated. Of course, Arsenal would like to sign one of them, but
it's complicated. As we know, Yildiz only just signed a new deal for Juventus in June.
I've said it before. He's their main star boy. They do not want to sell Yildiz,
right? Although that has been, you know, Arteta's dream for quite a long time is to get Yildiz in
the team. It would be perfect out on that left wing. And Alvarez, as we know, is still pushing
for a move to Barcelona. Now, Atletico are doubling down even harder now, saying you are not
going to Barcelona. If we do say you at all, you're going abroad. You are not going to Barcelona. So,
both of these are very, very complicated. The Yildiz one, I don't know, man. He's saying that
they'd be looking at circumstances that could develop. Could Juventus at the last minute be
willing to sell him for a high price? The Alvarez one, he wants Barcelona. If he decides that I no
longer want to play for Atletico Madrid, I can't get Barcelona, then it opens up for Arsenal. But
it's going to take a lot of circumstances for these ones to happen before the end of the transfer
window. Very, very complicated indeed. Now, on yesterday's show, I spoke about Victor Lloqueres
and how he was being linked by many, many sources with a move to Barcelona, including this journalist
from a publication called El Quintro or something like that. Anyway, he said that Barcelona want
Lloqueres. Of course, Ferran Torres has left Barcelona. He's joined PSG now. However, there's
been no contact at all since that story broke between Barcelona and Arsenal for Victor Lloqueres.
And also, Fabrizio Romano is saying that Arteta has no intention at all of selling Victor Lloqueres.
He's a fan of Victor Lloqueres. I said it yesterday, Lloqueres has only been here for one season,
and he had a good return. It would be a bit crazy to sell him now unless...
The only circumstances I could possibly see Lloqueres going, this is just my personal opinion
at the moment, would be if it was something to do with the Alvarez, maybe that swap deal, maybe,
maybe that's a possibility. But all the reports coming out of Arsenal is that they do not want to
sell Victor Lloqueres. If anything, they want to add to that forward line. They don't want to be
selling players in that forward line. But there's lots of rumors around Lloqueres yesterday, but
looks like he will be staying at Arsenal. But one player who looks like he's definitely
going to be leaving is Reece Nelson. Negotiations are still continuing between Arsenal and West Ham
over his sale, said to be only around about three million. That's really, really low,
but listen, he's in the last year of his contract. So Reece Nelson set to leave Arsenal. Those are
for the rumors for today. As we always say every day, you won't miss a thing here. Any breaking
