H1 House by Taranti Arq. is a 1,937-square-foot summer residence in Pinamar, Argentina, designed to respond closely to its sandy, pine-covered setting. The house is organized into two elevated volumes connected by a bridge, minimizing its impact on the terrain while separating private and common areas. Large glazed openings frame the surrounding forest, while a deep roof overhang and continuous balcony reinterpret the Japanese engawa as a sheltered transition between indoors and outdoors. Concrete, steel, and wood form the structural and material palette, with details such as the sloped roof carefully adapted to the site's pine trees and drainage needs.
