Idris Elba Shares Why He Wants to ＂Eventually＂ Quit Acting

Idris Elba detailed his decision to eventually leave acting behind to focus on a new chapter in his career. ‘The Wire’ actor revealed at a Q+A at the Red Sea International Film Festival Dec. 10, per The Daily Mail, that he wants to “transfer to be a director fully.” He has even considered getting a degree to study human science, to “be more effective when it comes to” philanthropy and activism work. The "Boasty" rapper, who shares daughter Isan Elba, 22, with ex-wife Hanne Nørgaard and 10-year-old son Winston with ex-girlfriend Naiyana Garth, wants to avoid politics but knows knowledge is power.
