This 1200 sq ft Bengaluru Home Uses a Screened Facade for Light & Ventilation! (House Tour)

Thirai is a compact Bengaluru home designed for a young family on a 30 ft × 40 ft plot, where privacy, light, and climate come together. Named after the Tamil word for "screen," the home is shaped by a perforated facade that filters sunlight, encourages cross-ventilation, and frames views.
Inside, double-height balconies, skylights, adaptable interiors, and pockets of greenery create an open yet intimate living environment. Thirai showcases how thoughtful planning, restrained materials, and climate-responsive architecture transform a modest urban footprint into a home that evolves effortlessly with its occupants and their changing lives.
