What is Operation Highway Shield?

USDOT’s “Operation Highway Shield” removes unqualified commercial truck drivers off of America’s roads by working alongside state and federal partners.

This joint mission spread across multiple states has already removed more than 800 unsafe drivers and trucks out of service, detained 51 illegal immigrants holding non-domiciled CDLs, and arrested 86 operators for dangerous conduct.
