Police standoff in Millville, NJ ends in fatal shooting

A daylong police presence outside a home on Hazel Boulevard in Millville ended in a fatal shooting Thursday, according to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office.

Neighbors said officers arrived around 8 a.m. and described the situation as a standoff. A shattered window was visible from the street, one of the few signs of what may have unfolded inside the home.

Detectives continued entering and exiting the residence as late as 11 p.m.
