This video provides a comprehensive guide to making a nutritious, high-protein, and fiber-rich homemade bread using oats and seeds, paired with a creamy roasted vegetable spread. The recipe focuses on using whole, healthy ingredients to create a satisfying alternative to traditional white bread.
Hi everyone! Welcome back! Today I'm sharing one of my favorite healthy bread recipes.
It's soft, delicious, packed with fiber and protein, and made with simple everyday ingredients.
We start by blending two cups of rolled oats into a fine flour. Stay with me until the end
because we'll also make a creamy veggie spread that pairs perfectly with this healthy bread.

Next, I'm toasting two tablespoons of pumpkin seeds and two tablespoons of sunflower seeds.
This simple step brings out their natural nutty flavor and makes the bread even more delicious.
Once they're lightly toasted, set them aside to cool completely.
Now I'm grinding four tablespoons of flax seeds into a fine meal and adding them to the oat flour.
Flax seeds are rich in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants, making this bread even more
nutritious. All right! The toasted seeds have cooled down, so I'm grinding them as well and
adding them to the bowl. They're packed with healthy fats, plant protein, vitamins, and minerals,
plus they add a wonderful nutty flavor. Now let's add two teaspoons of baking powder
and one half teaspoon of salt or to taste. Give the dry ingredients a quick mix so everything is
evenly combined. In a separate bowl, crack two eggs, then add two-thirds cup of Greek yogurt
and one half cup of water. Whisk everything together until smooth. The eggs give the
bread structure, help it rise, and add high quality protein. Greek yogurt keeps the bread
moist and tender while adding extra protein and a delicious, slightly tangy flavor.
Now pour in two tablespoons of olive oil and whisk again until everything is fully combined.
Olive oil adds healthy fats and helps keep the bread soft. All right, friends! Now pour the wet
mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until you have a thick, smooth batter. Finally, stir in
one tablespoon of sesame seeds. Let the batter rest for 10 to 15 minutes. This gives the oats
and flaxseeds time to absorb the liquid, creating a better texture and a softer loaf. While the
batter is resting, I'll prepare the loaf pan. All right! Our batter has rested and look at that.
It's much thicker now. That's exactly what we want. Now I transfer it to my lined loaf pan
and smooth out the top. I like to score the center with a knife because it helps the bread
expand nicely while baking. I'm sprinkling a few pumpkin seeds on top, but honestly,
you can use any seeds you like. Now into a preheated oven, it goes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit,
180 degrees Celsius for about 45 to 50 minutes or until it's beautifully golden and a toothpick
comes out clean. While that's baking, I think it's the perfect time to make a creamy spread
to go with it. For the spread, I'm chopping half a yellow bell pepper, half a green bell pepper,
and two medium carrots. If you have a red bell pepper instead, go for it. It'll make the spread
a little sweeter. I love using colorful vegetables like these because they're naturally rich in
Now I'm adding four to five garlic cloves and drizzling everything with two tablespoons of
olive oil. Give everything a quick toss, then roast at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, 200 degrees
Celsius for 25 to 30 minutes until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized. I'm using my
your oven works just as well. Wow, look at this bread! It's beautifully golden,
the crust looks amazing, and it smells absolutely incredible. Now I know it's tempting to cut into
it right away, but trust me, let it cool completely on a wire rack first. That way,
you'll get the best texture when it's time to slice. What I love most about this bread is that
so it's naturally rich in fiber, protein, and healthy fats. It's a great option if you're
trying to eat healthier, stay full longer, or simply replace regular white bread with
something more nutritious. Now let's slice it and take a look inside. Wow, just look at that!
The inside is soft, light, and beautifully fluffy, with all those little seeds in every bite. This
is exactly the kind of bread I love. High in fiber, packed with protein and healthy fats,
and satisfying enough to keep you full for hours. Honestly, it's perfect for breakfast,
a healthy snack, or even lunch. Now let's finish our spread. I'm adding the roasted
vegetables to a bowl, peeling the roasted garlic, then seasoning everything with a little salt,
black pepper, smoked paprika, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. The roasted garlic becomes
so sweet and creamy, it completely changes the flavor. Next, I'm adding one tablespoon of Greek
yogurt, one tablespoon of cream cheese, and one tablespoon of olive oil. The Greek yogurt adds
extra protein and makes the spread light and creamy. The cream cheese gives it a rich, smooth
texture, while the olive oil brings everything together with healthy fats and amazing flavor.
Now blend everything until it's completely smooth and creamy. And I think it tastes even better
after chilling in the fridge for about 20 to 30 minutes. And that's it! This creamy spread and
homemade bread are such a delicious combination. You can enjoy it with eggs, avocado, fresh
vegetables, smoked salmon, grilled chicken, or simply on its own. If you enjoyed this recipe,
