I didn't even know you could replace this, but... I can't believe we're already halfway through the summer. I am not ready to go back to school yet. I feel like the moment we're at mid-July, it just feels like we're in back-to-school season already. Also, this is my face-washing headband. It's a little crummy from Japan. I think it's so cute. But yeah, I am more than halfway through my work rotation now. I think I'm 9 weeks in out of 15. So I'm past the mid-point valuation already. It actually went well. I don't know if I actually told you guys how it went. I was a little nervous for it originally because I haven't worked in a corporate setting for a while. But I do believe I am quite professional, so yeah. But then one of my preceptors said that I don't have anything to worry about it. So that did make me feel a little bit better. And apparently I didn't even have that much on my file anyways. I'm going to be reconstituting a bunch of my dried goods because the other day I ran into some pantry pests. And it just made me really afraid of having loose dried goods out. So I'm going to put these all into containers I got. Now here is everything organized. Today I have quite a few things on my to-do list. So I'm just trying to write them all down because I don't want to forget anything. I'm just doing it on my iPad today because I'm going to have to draw out a few other workflows. And I'll explain them later in the video. So I have to do some product testing and some product design suggestions of what I used to be on. Which was patient profiles and it launched like a couple weeks ago. So I'm just going to be making some updates to that. I also offered to update some marketing materials for someone else who's not my direct preceptor. But someone was just looking for a little bit of help, so I offered to do it. I also have a client presentation deck that I could start on. So I've also jotted that down. But yeah, without further ado, let's get into the day. Hey guys, it is finally time for another break. I'm taking my lunch break this time because it's a pretty good time. I just finished all my client meetings, which is also why I've changed my top. To be honest, no one else is seeing me for the day. So I'm probably going to change into my PJs. But also before I forget, one of my friends did text me that our semester schedule is now out for the new school year. Also, year after year, I swear I always get the first lab section. And it's always the earliest in the morning as well. And I am not a morning person. So I have my fingers crossed that I got like the second or the third lab section. But you guys, it turns out I actually got the lab section that I wanted this year. And it looks like I got enrolled in the electives that I chose. So I'm going to set everything up in Notability right now. Because it's going to just take me like five minutes. And if I don't do it now, I'm not going to do it later. So Notability is a note-taking app. It's an all-in-one digital notebook. And you can have it on iPad, iPhone, MacBook, and on the web. And so I'm just going to show you guys how I prep for a new semester and back-to-school season. So on the side here, you can see my different color-coded folders. And I have Oncology, HIV, and Hep, which was one of my favorite units in the last term. And so I'm just going to set this up again for 3B because that's the new term. So this is my whole system. I make a folder for every semester. And then I make different folders within that folder for each class. So now I have different folders for every class. And then within there, I can just upload any kind of PDF or document and just keep everything organized. Everything for one class across all the different professors and different documents live in one place. And then you guys can start annotating on top of the document if you have an iPad. Or you can start typing on it if you're using desktop. Or typing is just faster for you. And now moving on to my actual favorite feature, which is audio recording. If any of you guys are in a university or college, then you know how much professors can drone on and on and on without taking any breaks. So being able to record a one, two, three, sometimes I have four hour lectures. And being able to play it back later and it actually syncs to exactly where I was writing as well has been such a game changer. I've actually become that girl in my classroom, if you need a recording or you didn't necessarily catch something that a professor said, people will ask me. It's because I use this feature. And now this next notability feature is for my fellow distracted people, which is the study session timer. So I try to time block everything because once I hit a flow state, I completely lose track of time. Like the symptom of time blindness with people with ADHD is so real and so strong in my case. So I love time blocking. So you can set a study session for any of these different times or you can customize it. And then there's also break and you can have the total number of sessions. You just have this little timer going in the corner here. So setting study and break cycles in this app really helps me stay on track. And then later in the semester when these folders are actually full, I'm going to use this PDF, for example, you can use the learn feature. So in the learn feature, you'll be able to see smart notes and quizzes, for example, here. There are also like flashcards as an example. And I just feel like running your notes through these learn features makes such a big impact on your grades because you are really testing your application skills, which is also how you're typically assessed in school. Worked for the last couple of hours and I've changed into my PJs. Also, yes, that is a lot of recycling that's going on behind me. I'm going to take it out, I swear. Out of all of my mail, I've been most excited for these two things. Basically, I have a couple technical tasks that I need to do, but I didn't have the right tools. So one of them I was actually working on throughout the entire workday today. It was because it was on my 3D printer. And I'm so excited to show you guys what I printed. And before you judge, this is not completely built yet. I haven't glued all the pieces together. And one of the things that I got in the mail today is to fix this door. So this is a replica of the Pocopia Center and it is a switch to holder. So the dock usually goes in the back here. I really want to replace this door. It's supposed to be a light blue to like turquoise color. I actually bought glow-in-the-dark PLA filament so I could replicate this as closely as possible. I'm going to show you guys how much filament I have in my kitchen right now. Like these are the four that I have. I also have one over there. And then this is my kitchen right now. I literally have these five filaments just sitting here. And so this was my backup filament, which is the color of the door right now. But this color is what I originally wanted for the door. But the thing is, and this is my own bad, I didn't read the website properly when buying that filament. I thought they were all the same. And clearly they are not. I feel like this is like a little diorama that I'm holding to explain things to you guys. But basically everything that I've printed in my apartment from like Polaroid holders to vases to all the different parts of this switch to dock holder has been one kind of filament. But what I didn't know is that the glow-in-the-dark filament has a different thickness. But I didn't have the right hot end, which is the nozzle where the filament is like being pushed out when it's like molten basically because it's like 200 degrees or something. And so I had to buy a new hot end for the filament to go through because the glow-in-the-dark filament is glow-in-the-dark because of certain particles, which makes it more abrasive. So the hot end I have on my machine right now isn't built for it basically. I just assumed that the hot ends were all the same, but they are evidently not. So I bought a change in nozzle to go along with the glow-in-the-dark filament. And hopefully we can print out the correct color door for this gift. And if it doesn't work, then that's too bad. And this is what my boyfriend's getting. So let's get printing. So this is the hot end, which is basically like the spout of where filament or like the plastic comes out, according to the YouTube video. Oh, came out this way. So I'm going to just replace it with this. Oh, kind of just did it by itself. It's this one first. New nozzle is on. I believe there's nothing really else to do. Honestly, it was pretty simple. I'm going to move on to my next task, which is fixing this camera, actually. So I don't even know if I'm going to be able to film what I need to do. The task we need to do is to replace the tripod mount of my camera because I have just completely stripped the hell out of this because I use this camera so much. I didn't even know you could replace this, but apparently you can. And I bought everything that I need to do online. I literally got this part shipped to me from China and I have to pay like $30 in shipping because I just couldn't live with the stripped mount anymore. And then I got this like little tool thing so that I could take the screws out. And this is a very expensive camera. So I really hope that I don't do anything wrong with it. I kind of feel like a tech YouTuber right now because I replaced the hot end of my 3D printer and now I'm fixing my camera. But let's see what we got here now. So I've taken all the screws out and now I need to like lift this up. But how? What the hellie? I don't actually know how to get it up. Oh my god, you can literally see how stripped it is. There is not a single groove left in here. I did it. But I got the bits now and I'm going to see if it like works on my tripod. So 3D printer is going over there. Not really sure how it's looking, but... Oh my god, you guys. It actually works. I haven't been able to screw this piece in for my tripod in literally months. What I would do is I would balance the camera like on the tripod. I wasn't actually screwing it in. Oh my god. Oh, I'm so happy. I can't believe that literally took me like five minutes. Okay, guys, I am so happy with the results of this. I wish I did it earlier. And now I'm still waiting for the 3D printer to finish printing that door for the Pocopia stand. But honestly, if it's not printed in the next 24 minutes, it says, then I think I'm just going to call it quits. And yeah. Guys, I have finished the birthday gift. And I have to put my Switch 2 in there. So I actually made sure that like everything fits. And I really love that there's also room for like ventilation and cords. This is the final product of the gift. I'm kind of sad that I didn't get the right colored door. But now that I've super glued everything together and I even have like the Switch in the back, I think that this door is not that off. I think for this gift, this door is okay. And I think it looks really cute. I'm really happy with it. And I hope my boyfriend likes it. So I'll get his reaction for you guys tomorrow. Where'd the dog go? Small pasta for lunch. And my little Europe buffet for breakfast. I'm going to eat in the kitchen. And I need to go. What are you doing? Oh yeah. Let me try the tofu. I mean, I know it says plant-based. Wait, so what is it? They have ingredients. It comes in like a bigger package with the full ingredients. But this doesn't have the ingredients. Mystery Asian product. What kind of food is it? Cheese. No, I mean like, it's not a soup. Savory. Like a topping? I'm going to share it. This one we can share. Oh, it smells good. What does it taste like? Tastes kind of like lemongrass. It has the texture of... Woodier... Ele... No, is it... Elephant... Mushroom? Woodier mushroom. It just comes to work. And this is getting a little bit loud. And I have quite a few things on my to-do list. Even though the day's almost over. It's like 2.45. I did take that lunch break with my coworkers. Everything that I have to do is basically like 95% done. Everything just needs to be polished before I hand them off to my managers and stuff. I'm just going to keep working. Yeah.
