3 dead, child among 4 injured in mass shooting at Seattle festival

happening now. Police in Seattle say one person is in custody following a deadly mass shooting there. Let's go over to Boston 25 News anchor Ray Vietta now back with that investigation and also what witnesses are saying about these terrifying moments. Nicole, we know that three people are dead, four others are hurt. Investigators say a two year old boy among those hurt but is expected to survive. Police say it took place during an annual food festival about a block from Seattle's Space Needle. The shooting happened around six p.m. Yesterday, nine p.m. Our time. This cell phone video shows people sheltering in place inside a nearby store. After the shooting, witnesses say they heard a lot of gunshots. There was one volley, which we heard a lot of people didn't react at first because we thought, Oh, it must be firecrackers or something. But then there was a second volley. I would say at least two dozen shots, multiple selling an automatic weapon. Seattle's assistant police chief says dozens of officers were providing security at the festival and some reports seeing the suspects firing shots. He says those responding officers help prevent more people from being hurt. So far, police have not revealed the motive in that shooting.
