The FAA ultimately concluded the root cause was severe heat effects on propulsion system components during ascent alongside some wonky engine alarm system settings.
After the aggressive B20 hot-fire tests, it looked like the headache was cured, but the universe decided to laugh by throwing a curveball and aborting the very first launch attempt.
