American League Cy Young award winner is very tight. So this is one that you may be able to
get in on a second place and win. Schlittler, Cease, some other names out there too, Tom. This
is just yet to be determined. This is going to be a close race right down to the finish.
It really is. Schlittler was fantastic against the Phillies the other day. And then Dylan
Cease is saying anything you can do, I can do better. And he puts up an unbelievable performance
against the Red Sox. And the answer in this market might be Sonny Gray. And again,
we're not looking for a winner here. We're looking for a player. Can you get in on Sonny
Gray when he's down at 2%? And in a week or two weeks, if he climbs up to 5% or 6%, boom,
you got your spot right there. I think that would be the answer. I'm not looking at Scoogle.
I'm not looking at Logan Gilbert. I think Sonny Gray is an interesting option right now.
The reliever of the year, it's really interesting that Louis Varland is having such a good year for
Toronto. But man, Cade Smith is so tempting here on Cleveland, Tom. This guy seems like he comes in
and saves every game for the Cleveland Guardians. So to me, there's a little bit of a push for me
there. I wonder if Cade Smith is the one to jump ahead. You don't generally see a guy like Varland
having this kind of year. No, I would actually be looking to sell Louis Varland. We always talk
about who do you want to buy into? I'd be looking to sell Louis Varland at this point just because
his success has been great. But I'm also worried about how many more opportunities he's going to
have given the dynamic of where the Blue Jays sit in standings. We've heard some rumors that they
may be wanting to trade Jeff Hoffman. And it could open up a lot of opportunities for Louis
Varland. But there's also nothing pushing the Blue Jays to continuously have out a great player when
they're fighting for nothing when it's all said and done. Pro baseball today's wins leader. It's
kind of funny that the Brewers have a relief pitcher that's in this because they play so
many close games late and then they come back and win. So Aaron Ashby is actually on the list
here. But Ashby has not pitched well the last month or so. I don't know if the folks are
following this that closely. He's taking a step back. But Yoshinobu Yamamoto, to me, I know he's
the leader in terms on calci here. And there's a reason why, Tom. He's getting deep into games,
maybe deeper than any starter outside of Alcantara in Major League Baseball. If the Dodgers are
in the ninth too. Yeah, he's been unbelievable. And what we saw from him in the postseason last
year is just really scratching the surface. There's not many players on this list that I
truly am interested in. It's not going to be Ashby. I can't possibly do that.
Mizorowski for the Brewers as well. I don't imagine that because I think they're going to
be scaling back his innings as he's already missed the start here. Is he going to miss
another start here or there if they're sitting comfortably in the NL Central? Chris Sanchez
is the only other player you could conceivably make an argument for. But I just don't think
that there's a good enough chance that he actually gets there. So it might be wrapped
up for Yamamoto at this point.
