He is ready to break out as Arbor Jackeye has not only been flashing the skills But a recent tweet came out with a photo of him that reveals a whole body transformation We got a quote from Marty St. Louis to go along with all of that on Arbor Jackeye But not just him to talk about today Patrick Laine with Brendan Gallagher cheating a little bit showing out again as it's him and Yvonne Demidov that second line putting in more work than any other line today Not to mention Lane Hudson himself setting up our boy Demi God the two young studs of this team working together So much to dive into all coming up on this episode of Habs Digest But before we get into the video today, we got a lot of great stuff coming up. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button We're almost at 23,000 subscribers and hey still well over 40% of you still haven't hit that button news every Single day on your favorite team the Montreal Canadiens if you want to stay up to date This is the best spot to be so go ahead and hit that button right now We're gonna get into the rest of the video right now So let's start with those guys Jesse and look Lane Hudson Yvonne Demidov We know what they bring to this team at this point, but I just love it training camp every single day We're seeing different things and right now Lane Hudson Yvonne Demidov has been the maybe hottest story They haven't really connected yet until now and what a beautiful pass This is gonna scare defenses for I would say even like a decade plus to come This is unreal to watch unfolding before our eyes and really Yvonne Demidov is just another reason Why not only Lane Hudson won't regret next year But he's actually gonna improve to get better and a big reason that I really feel strongly about that Josh It's really Lane Hudson He's just gonna have more options to really play with and it's not just the increased options Josh offensively in them You know the maturing of those but also I would say it's that it's those really high skilled players Which Lane Hudson really needs to succeed and I thought plenty of instances Like even from Lane Hudson's early first couple of games Like he was that good where I saw he was trying to do things on the ice and he was creating opportunities Teammates were just not aware. They just weren't putting themselves in position take advantage of it We're talking about like some of the best players for the house, which really speaks to why like Yvonne Demidov is just so important It's like and it's actually quite natural Josh Like why we're seeing the chemistry from Lane Hudson and Yvonne Demidov right now like they both work really hard They're both extremely talented I'm like, of course They'd be having this chemistry on the ice that we're really seeing the examples of and I think that this goal That we're seeing in the scrimmage here today is like a perfect example Josh because you're playing this clip like earlier on in that when They're circling they look like Lane Hudson this whole play knows exactly where he's going like that's going to Demidov all the way It knows Demidov. He comes out of the shot. He's going to the net all the way Make himself available and that's actually a very tough goal to stop like that's a very High percentage play that they're making right there. So anyway, just phenomenal to just see the chemistry That's really forming right now from these two Very young and skilled players who seem to be completely on the same wavelength right now hundred percent It's been on like again It's like these mental connections like you said, you know when we watched Hudson He thinks the game almost on another level and Demidov like we know he's able to keep up with that It took a little while for a lot of the other players to keep up with it as well But I think now everyone kind of is learning how to play with Lane Hudson But this goal is just such a good example of that. Also not to mention just something else I wanted to point out at the end of this clip where you might have saw it when it was playing there Wonder what was happening. Lane Hudson also laid the body on Owen Beck today I just wanted to put this in there cuz bang like I don't know like just a little guy lay in the body Come on, Owen. Can't do that. Imagine if that was Victor Hedman, you know But but still really really cool stuff to see from our two young guys But you know It's not just those two Jesse cuz we said today like, you know There was a couple of goals for this team in the scrimmage and again It was Ivan Demidov from Lane Hudson and then Patrick Laine on a penalty shot and like well First of all, Brendan Gallagher, of course cheating like he loves to do in these practices being a little disturber But look at this from Laine. You can't hear it but pinging off the post and in what a shot from him Yeah, that's right That counts but Patrick Laine with this second line has looked so good as Kirby Doc has been back out there with them I know this is not an even strength goal classic. Oh Patrick Laine scoring on something It's not an even strength goal, but he has looked so good in this training camp every single day Jesse there have been compliments coming his way from everyone who's been watching Not only is he putting up the stats like one goal one assist yesterday another goal one of only two goals for his team today He is looking faster. He's looking like he's giving more effort He looks healthier and that again along with a healthy doc Hopefully it's just such a recipe for success. This second line has been the biggest standout I think at training camp so far because they just can't stop making highlights. It can't stop getting goals And I think we're underestimating how good this second line will be I think the Tuesday's important But just with Yvonne Demidov and Patrick Laine the way that they're both looking right now and even the chemistry we have We are completely underestimating just how good this line can be considering what we know from Yvonne Demidov I'm obviously from a Patrick Laine right now Like he's getting his confidence back, but like these early goals on perfect shot really matters It seems like his mojo was just all the way back right now There is some great signs from Kirby dog But the best news like even when they're playing with cabinet, but they're still having success and really looking good So again, like is this important early in this camp that we're seeing like Yvonne Demidov Patrick Laine He's like the goal scores are really showing out and doing what they need to do right now Which is this huge because again, these are the players We're gonna get to another key one for this team where it's like We know what Nick Suzuki is gonna bring cool coffee like we can bank on that But it's really is if the question is like Patrick Laine a Arbor Jack guy I'm guys like that. Like if they can really bring it for this team your eyes slap Kofsky That's what's really gonna take this team to the next level this next season early on from training camp We're just seeing seeing great signs in the streets of Montreal. Oh everything. Yeah, absolutely I feel like there's just like I'm just so hyped about literally everything because there's been nothing negative coming Well minus Jack I accidentally tripping Kirby doc today and doc going down pretty hard that scared me But of course he came back and that was fine, but it's not even a negative like right after there was no animosity It was like you good. Yeah, I'm good. Okay good off we go But it's like, you know, we're nervous, you know, it's ready to come but like at the same time There's been so many good signs like you said and this goal again just exemplifies that so leave some love for lining There's no second line down below, but you're right Jesse We got to move on to Arbor Jack guy because he has been a big story recently and like look at this I mean, these are some silky mitts here right now from Arbor. We knew he had some offensive potential I think yeah, I don't miss that. I can't really I think it went in though I think it went far down. It's hard to tell but my goodness this looks amazing But this is not the big thing here The big thing is the transformation is Anthony mounts, you know tweeted out Arbor Jack I affirms having lost a lot of body fat this summer this photo speaks for itself Arbor is a lot faster and this picture here. You probably saw in the thumbnail He looks extremely fit and not that he wasn't fit before obviously, but you can tell a difference before and after Again Arbor said himself He lost a lot of body fat like that just is what it is and he looks faster and I have felt like Jesse Every day, we've been looking at training camp We've been watching the clips from training camp Jack guy has stood out for one reason or another. He's been pretty physical He's been working his butt off. But a lot of people are saying he looks faster He looks fitter and now we get this confirmation It all kind of lines up for a guy that only had six points in 70 games Like we know what he is capable of physically and even scoring wise a couple of years ago He had some good stuff and Marty actually had a great quote on this as well saying confidence doesn't just happen You feel confidence because you know, you've checked all the boxes you feel prepared you put the time in to build your own confidence I think that's what Arbor did this summer And I think this like it does kind of speak for itself Jesse Marty is saying everyone who's watching him is saying hey He stands out. He got more fit him and Florian worked their butts off and he's out there stick handling like crazy I feel like all of the signs are there for Arbor to take this opportunity and solidify himself Sorry, Jaden Struble, but all the talk right now has been about Arbor Jack This is what I love to hear again for a key player I've wanted him to kind of secure that final six spot and really take it as his own word We're not questioning whether it's gonna be Arbor Jack I or who is really gonna come into the lineup Even with some key important guys coming in the lineup. I think that Jack I can really secure it here But again, Josh, he's doing the work that he needs to to get here and really this offseason Preparation from the Montreal Canadiens right now. It's completely unparalleled We can't say that we've seen this before of this Montreal Canadiens team in recent memory since since I've been a fan of Really my entire life of where we're seeing like guys like transformational players like Florian Jack I you know putting on 15 pounds of muscle we see Joshua what visibly leaner Arbor Jack I leaner as well So just the amount of like preparation that this team has done to be successful besides We don't put prolific Jim rats and Lane Hudson Yvonne Demirov It's just really like through the lineup right now, which is just getting me beyond excited Especially that the key players are doing this and it's already in training camp Like it's not like some intangible thing Like we're already seeing it bearing fruit in the fact that Arbor Jack I is looking quicker They're on the ice by you don't have a lose in a couple pounds, but Josh is not just that he's making quicker decisions And it's because of that He's getting praise for Martin St. Louis, which has been kind of like a point of contention during Arbor's tenure Montreal Like where did he sit in Martin St. Louis graces? Is he in the doghouse is he in the lineup regularly like we didn't really know night-to-night But again, like Martin St. Louis saying that like what do you think from Arbor? It's like he's dedicated to getting better. Like he's just seeing that consistently He's putting in that work and this is what Martin St. Louis feels is like the most important I think he's totally right for feeling that way Like we're talking about the physical attributes of again like Arbor Jack I like he's so strong But it's just if you kind of again just play a little bit quicker while still playing that physical game And then just get mature to play that game in front of you Like he's obviously gonna have a lot of success But he really just needs to focus on you know Really, you know kind of having that mentality first of just playing that game the right way and working hard and getting in shape So I think that you know Martin St. Louis completely, right if he does that right everything else is gonna come This is also what gives me faith. I have to say by extension and Patrick lining and Kirby dog I'm done I'm getting faith as the days go by Just because of the work that they put in again as Martin St. Louis says like that respect It needs to be earned and it's by that work that they're doing the offseason and it's starting to see dividends That now they're starting to earn that trust from Montreal Canadians really in spades right now. Is this growing?
