Iran has claimed one of its biggest military successes against the United States, alleging that its latest precision missile strikes targeted the strategically important Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan and destroyed some of America's most advanced air defense systems. According to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the attack damaged a THAAD radar system, a Patriot battery, and a C-RAM radar, while also destroying fuel facilities, a helicopter equipment depot, and a helicopter maintenance facility.

If confirmed, this would mark the first reported successful strike against a THAAD system during the current U.S.-Iran conflict and could represent billions of dollars in military losses. Muwaffaq Salti Air Base is one of the most important U.S. military hubs in the Middle East, hosting the U.S. Air Force's 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing and thousands of American personnel.
