Are the Yankees going to be big buyers in the in the trade
deadline? We know they've got the money, whether they want to
spend it is a whole different world. But they need something
in that line. They have to make a move. Don't they correct?
Yeah, they always do. They're not a stand pat team. We know
that and they'll end up adding something what I can't really
say for sure. But look, I mean, where would they be without Ben
Rice? I mean, that guy has had an incredible season thus far
jazz is getting hot here maybe at the right time. And the other
player to that we don't hear a ton about Joe and maybe he's
just a postseason player at this point is Giancarlo Stanton.
Maybe they're just happy with that guy coming back in
September and getting his you know, five plate appearances and
not playing the field at all. Maybe that's just what the deal
is. And maybe that's what they're hoping for Aaron judge.
It's just for him to come back in September and have a little
bit of a pseudo spring training and get healthy in time for
October. So we'll see. But yeah, I would expect the Yankees to
make some moves. And maybe we'll learn more about what they
do or don't do, which will tell us about the health of Aaron
judge moving forward. I would not anticipate seeing him at
least for another three, four weeks, even if he is healthy,
because that's how long it takes through coming back and rehab
assignments and imaging and everything else. So I still
think we're far away from that. But they're pitching is
definitely good enough, which is rare for the Yankees. Usually
that's what they're adding at this time of the season, but
they may need an extra bat or two to get through to the end
of the postseason. But I do think they will cruise towards
some sort of birth, whether it's wildcard, or a division win.
They're gonna do something here. Otherwise, it'll be
interesting. Cashman's always got a lot of questions to answer
on what he is or is not going to do. But the numbers don't lie.
With judge, they're one team without him. They are a
completely other team. So we'll, we'll see what the Yankees do,
if anything, but they've got a doubleheader now.
