July 9: Celebrity Dish

All right, welcome in 1030 this morning time for a little celebrity dish. I want to work on anything I've been good I've been I've been my birthday was last month, I do a big party community for we had a pride events over us up and that's what we're in the bbc black pride and then capital pride parade with the great float. It was a great time and then I was I just want to support people celebrating of the birthday says my grandfather's birthday Harvey Hill happy happy birthday. He's in the 7 70's. But I just put outside enjoying the summer enjoying the heat because you know you must want to be cold or you might as well be complaining about the exact. July was. Many levels all right, we're going to have you here with us we're going to get into a little side dish nation first here we've got host had a crack joining us live from the ATL good morning. I have a belated birthday. All right got a glad to have you here with us head crack, let's first talk on. This is Justin baldoni Blake lively situation we're finally hearing from now don't he breaking his silence after settling this long legal battle with the upset. All this and many showed up and you come alone, he bought his wife with him and he had this to say about how everything worked out. There have been so many. Painful things that have been spoken to existence and truthful. Over the last couple years and that created so much noise and we didn't want to add to the noise. So we just want to let the justice system. Run its course. Yeah, so on the settlement closed the case without either side receiving money in both parties have publicly expressed hopes of moving forward. It's just been such a crazy case in situation because you know like there was so many people who got involved it wasn't even on the set, you know one 2nd Taylor Swift was involved because she was like a character witness and then you know it just makes you look at people in a different light like you know, maybe some of these people aren't as cool as we think they are you know saying maybe talk about the person that was just on the screen right there. You know, and it's it's just wild man, so I'm glad that they could just like you know agree to not work together and go the opposite direction to So she had what 13 charges, the judge dropped 10 of them and again, no money was awarded the only ones that really came out winners here. I think like the lawyers, I think see. I'm saying you pay 8 million dollars of my lawyer fees, but that's just not happening, but this to me this to it distracted from the movie, the movies about domestic violence and this just became a whole side show that really just overshadowed the important messaging of that. Yeah, I think that because they kept silent throughout the course of it and now that you can speak out about it's like you've gone through the entire journey of the actual court battle you've got to like you said trying to promote the movie and now that everything is over with it's like OK cool now I can somewhat discuss the feelings in which I have towards this. It's unfortunate that these things have been happening lately overall with the sexual assault cases and all that but I feel like a crack said you never know what these people who we think are so cool. I have going on in their lives, some people are you know just doing harmful whatever some people are just just victims of whatever happens so anyway, I mean I wish the best to everybody you know involved in this especially the lawyers they got their money. In the movie I highly recommend it is there. I mean I was in tears by the end of that movie it is so impactful. I do think there's a larger conversation to be had in regards to. So often are we to assume that the woman is right in all domestic violence situations not to say that either party in this situation was right, but I do think there's some sort of conversation to be had that sometimes men can also be and I think just just and I'll don't you know I think that's why he kept his silence for so long. Again not to put blame on any person here. But I just think for a movie that's sole purpose was about this conversation. It's really disheartening to see the way that this has played out between the 2 of them in regards to put it behind us and we can move on let the drama be done. There is more drama when it comes to Cardi B and her job is never going to be over let's just say that. There's always going to be some drama so we all know she was on again off again with Stephon Diggs, you know the big wide receiver from Maryland. Play you know place in the NFL. Well now she has a new bow apparently well that's what you know. And he's a Nigerian soccer goalkeeper which I will say his I G I found him as the World Cup is the beginning. Oh yeah, I guess the question is is it there because they were at a fashion show he helped her sit down we can read into it that maybe they were just there, but some people want to say that they're a thing now. I don't know. Yeah, so that picture it tells a bigger story than may be would be there, but you know, I wouldn't put it past you know Cardi B to go from football to football. He like and it was not just that event there's a multiple events to you know anytime you see somebody like pitching with somebody or videotaped together more than once you know the Internet detectives like to put together they own. You know timeline over how can he shot. I was about to say more than just sitting next to each other. This fashion show and then perhaps like you said we never know the person the relationship between 2 people they could be right he does he's tapping in the fashion war. If you ever want to take another bit he was a part of that event and everything so but anyway, it's it's a good effort to say Cardi if it is if it is true go for it, you know over here. Well, we don't know the history of him, we do know the history of Stephon dig Stephon digs got multiple women multiple babies right will win and causes issues, but he's a star when he's on the football field. We don't know his history, but I'm not mad at someone trying to find a love me either. I'm all for give what about a week. Yeah, you know. Can I can I ask you guys do we think from her going from Stephon to now this Nigerian goalkeeper she has a type of a a bit of a clean chase or if you want to the second one. I think maybe after this maybe it's tennis. Yeah, there you go a little a little basketball, maybe some golf. Yeah, all right, let's get into this one. This is my favorite topic of the day had cracked that she had a girl. They're coming back to delicious. No it's been called she the girls next gen has been green lit for both Disney channel and Disney plus it's going to introduce a brand new generation of aspiring performance. It's going to be a lot of new fresh faces like I said in the original star Raven-simone is attached. Yeah, executive producer because she understands the sauce she knows what made that first version special so she's going to help us it is iconic brand into a new era so child to everybody involved Joe. She was the cheetah girl like Raven. I remember when the original to the girls came out we get that so Raven you had that all those things on Disney it just it popped so to have this reboot I think it's amazing for them to continue on the journey tell the story further and get the new next generation ready for the team. Generation that missed this I guess to be like I was looking at the newsroom. And there's 4 people yell back to me like jolly. I was a girl you know, I may be. Okay, yeah, my key and maybe we can get a cheetah girls group of 5 going you want to come to it. The girls. Something for all the age demos, the young demos like the people who watch lifetime.
