July 13: Celebrity Dish

Guys, it's now 1030. That means it's time for a little celebrity dish with Jojo Cruz. Good morning, guys. Good to see you, my man. Pleasure. Pleasure to be here. You are busy podcast action, right? Yeah, the podcast is in full effect. We've been doing amazing. We have a new episode dropping this week. I just got some coverage from the Chris Brown and that's your toy this week. So it was amazing. Amazing show. We're giggling because we were all just talking about well, some of the stuff you saw that weren't expected to see. We'll get to that in just a second. Speaking of that, let's kick things off with some of the hip hop and R and B greatest coming together this weekend in New York. No new music, but Rihanna is back. Yes, just one of the many performers joining Jay Z at Yankee Stadium. He's celebrating 25 years of his album, The Blueprint. Jay Z broke a record at Yankee Stadium, not once but twice. That includes setting record for the most tickets ever sold at a concert venue. There, Jay Z also made it a family affair with Beyonce and Blue Ivy joining him on stage. But it wasn't all happy for fans. Last night, the concert delayed hours due to fans breaking through security and forcing the stadium to go into lockdown. The concert was supposed to start at eight p.m. But the gates didn't reopen until 10. Jay Z didn't hit the stage until 12 15 this morning. Wow. Yeah, it was a big show. Saturday was a big show. They went off without a hitch last night. So I was looking on my feet the whole time. I was up late watching, like, literally people like minutes in the middle of like, what is going on? We can't get inside. So 12 15 is when the show started. I saw Tiktokers say for all the time they waited, it was worth every moment and every penny since you would do it all over again. Really? Rihanna came out, became out again. Tiana Taylor came out. He came from D. C. To go up there. Um, the clips. Everybody was there. Like, so who's who? J. D. Came out. Rick Ross. Jeezy. So why did it start late? Was specifically because people were trying to push through the apparently J. D. Addressed it at the top of the show and apologize to everybody. They were like 15,000 people outside. I guess some of those people didn't have tickets and they were trying to security breach. So, yeah, and look at Ria. I mean, we can't let that go without saying something about Rihanna. She looks amazing there. My mouth dropped. You feel like I've been living under a rock. I'm so sad. I went to the Yankees game here when I should have been up there. The person who wasn't there was Taylor, because you know why? Speaking of show stopping performances, the D. M. B. Turned out for Chris Brown in usher usher usher R. N. B. Tour stopped at Northwest Stadium this weekend. This is video from a very on Marissa Mitchell. She's gonna talk a little bit more about her experience on the Marissa Mitchell show at 11 a.m. Let me tell you, I just spent 20 minutes talking to her about it. She has a lot to say. Don't miss it. The duo have one more show at Northwest Stadium tonight. They head to Charlotte, North Carolina next. What are you thinking about this? I was at the Saturday show. I saw Marissa. She was walking by. I was like one section away from her. Um, the show was iconic. I sure was actually my very first tour. I saw him in Janet Jackson in 1999. That was my very first story members to share that in common. Every time I've seen him since then, he's always just elevated the game like he's one of the greatest living performers out. And Chris to me is also one of the greatest living performers. So to have them on one show, I was just like, this is amazing. This is like Michael and like, you know, Prince on one stage. It was amazing. I caught it. I haven't gotten any reports of breakups yet. So perhaps I posted a video on my social media. I go check that out. Jojo Cruz. Uh, yeah, the young lady that was there, they said she is definitely bringing up her boy. Yeah, it was. It got wild. It was a really intense show. Yeah, I didn't realize this was a part of the performance until I went down a rabbit hole on tick tock because I saw something from one of the D. C. Shows that Chris Brown partakes in. That's what we call it. And I was like, what is happening? And then I was like, oh, this is a thing. Yeah, take you down. And he definitely took them down. Yeah, for sure. Yet again, in the words of Antoine Dotson. How's your wife? How's your girlfriend? Yeah, my goodness. All right. Well, uh, glad you were able to be there. And I know a lot of people from here at Fox five were at the show as well. Uh, Taylor Swift spot and dress pretty in pink at Juju Smith Schuster's wedding a week after marrying Travis Kelsey, the pop star and her husband attended the wedding of the former teammate Saturday in California. She wore a floor sweeping floral while Kelsey dressed in a double breasted black suit. They walked hand in hand Taylor, even flashing her new wedding stack, showing that off as well. Yeah, I had some people actually asked me last week. They were like, Oh, where do you think their honeymooning is? If I'm gonna know, but I'm like, I knew that she was. They were supposed to be going to Juju's wedding. So whatever it was, it wasn't long. Maybe there'll be a longer honeymoon, if you will. Obviously, very close with Juju Smith Schuster. I'm gonna make up a word here. He looks very merrified to me. Look at him. It just doesn't look like the Travis Kelsey that I think we've seen in the past. He's very studious and looks like he's being a very good hubby. Yeah, as he should be. Dead body on the way, basically. No, I love that. They look good. I know. I'm surprised. I'm not celebrating their honeymoon. I understand the wedding, but I thought they would be out and about like, you know. Oh, she really flashed. Oh, my goodness. Good for them. Yeah. Well, speaking of love stories, the Love Island USA wrapped up season eight last night. So here's your warning. Spoilers are coming. So close your ears, walk away real fast. Whatever you gotta do. Uh, Bryce, and Trinity Tatum were crowned the winners, taking home $100,000. The couple also shared. I love you stirring the finale. Both say they're looking forward to exploring their relationship off the island of Fiji and in the real world. The couple credit their families for establishing a connection, particularly the fact that they were both raised by single moms. Reunion show airs later next month. So I guess it really does work, right? So I am. I feel like I'm the only person in America who does not watch this show, and we have a segment on my podcast called what we watch and when we talk about shows and our viewers keep telling us to watch this show, and I'm like, I just can't get into it. But maybe I should try. At least I feel like everybody else is. I can join you in that, because I've also never watched. Thank you. I don't feel alone now. I feel so alone. All right, three. Three's company. But we're busy. And, you know, not to say that this show isn't worth watching. It's just that I have not had the opportunity to sit down to really get engaged.
