Alycia Parks vs. Lucie Havlickova | 2026 Prague Round 1 | WTA Match Highlights

Alicja Parks walks onto the center court here in Prague, getting ready to take on the wild card Lucy Havlíčková. It's her fifth visit to round one here in Prague. She's won a couple of matches previously here before, in fact they are the only gift as far as Havlíčková is concerned. In position A for that. What a return. Inch perfect. Laid a trap quite beautifully. Yeah, that's really good. Just kept coming. Yeah, that's a nice switch up because they're both absolutely battering the ball. Made it. Superb. Beautiful. Oh, what a sumptuous way to wrap up the opening set. She's been brilliant in it. Award number 226 and she strikes first in just over three quarters of an hour. Big finish. Oh, wow. Big finish. So good on the bounce smash. The biggest win of her career takes Lucy Havlíčková past the world number 66 Alicja Parks and into round two in Prague. That was a masterful performance. It really was from this supremely talented young 21 year old. She did a brilliant job today. How important was the start because you had good start to the match. Was it important for your confidence? For sure it was very important for my confidence. You know with Alicja's serve it's really good to have the breaks on your back and I was just glad that I could, you know, hold my serve because that was really close games but I managed so it was really good to have it in my bag and it gave me confidence. How difficult was the match? It was very difficult. I've been struggling for the past few matches so I'm really happy that here at home I could, you know, raise up my level and just play a great game. Thank you and good luck. Thank you.
