She was a breakdown early but she ends up taking it seven games to five. She completely fooled her there. A little surprise she went to the drop shot there. Oh she's made it. Well Anna Bondar just absolutely loves playing tennis in Hamburg. She made the final 12 months ago. She won the title in 2024 when it was a 125 event and she is rocking and rolling once again in 2026. Into round two she goes. Two really hard fought sets there. Got a little nervy coming down the stretch but she is eventually able to close it out. What a tough job today. Very late in the evening. How do you feel? Yeah it was a long day. Obviously I'm happy with the win. It was a tough match. I was struggling with a couple of things but I'm really happy that I'm through to the second round and I gave myself a next chance. What would you say? What were the problems? I just need to find my game a little bit but it's obviously really nice to be back on this court. I have great memories so I hope I can improve match by match and stay here as long as possible. As long as possible. Last year you reached the final two years to go with a lower category. You won the tournament so the plan is to stay as long as you can for sure to win the tournament? Yes obviously it would be really nice.
