Hey, what's up guys? It's Oakley and we're going to be covering another one of these introducing videos.
It's going to be on the Dwarfen artillery. Note the spelling of Dwarfen, different from Tolkien's
version of that, that's very deliberate.
Anyways, this introducing series is just supposed to show off some of the artwork and the models itself for these various
parts of the Warhammer universe to introduce them to you. Here are the crew
manning these artillery pieces and all they're showing off here is going to be three artillery pieces.
We're going to watch this whole video first in normal speed then go back and watch it in slow motion.
So the three they're going to be showing is the grudge bear, the organ gun, or sorry the grudge thrower was the previous one, the
organ gun, and then here is going to be the flame cannon.
We've seen actually just two of these previously, the organ gun and the flame cannon particularly we saw. We haven't seen the
grudge thrower just yet and here they are in their spectacular
beauty. Some nice close shots of these models, definitely looking good.
Those of you guys who got to play at EGX can attest to that
I'm sure and those of you have seen gameplay can definitely see that the artwork here does make itself felt in the game and it
really comes alive.
I really want to play this in custom battles where you can set up huge batteries of this and just watch the carnage.
Now let's go back and watch this in slow motion.
So the first thing I want to call out is take a look at the inscriptions on these various weapons of artillery.
In the tabletop itself, we talked about this previously, you can inscribe or
kind of give magic runes to your artillery pieces to give them more
abilities and buffs and damage and whatnot. It's been confirmed that that is the case in an interview.
So you will have the ability to buff out your artillery pieces and
from the little bit that I read, it seemed like you will actually, you know, when you
have that unlock and you apply a rune to one of your artillery pieces, it'll actually manifest itself on the model itself.
It'll be visible. So if you ever come into a battlefield and you see basically a tatted up cannon,
then you know to stay away from that and it's those little touches that I think are awesome.
I really want to see, you know, a character painter, an army painter.
I think it was in an interview with Angry Joe a while back that he asked that very question to CA and
CA had said that today it wouldn't be in the first title. None of this was like super
locked in, but I think my
interpretation of it and I think the way it went is they said don't expect it in the first title,
but we'll have to implement that probably in the second title in the series.
So that's a bit disappointing, but nonetheless the models themselves look absolutely
beautiful right here. Looking great and
yeah, this is
definitely very exciting. I think the thing that, like, this is great.
This is like, it wets my appetite for Warhammer a little bit,
but what I'm really craving to see is a spotlight on the Vampire Council. Those guys are so cool.
I mean just, not only the
character models themselves, but the variety that you're gonna see in just the way they implement them. Like, they have undead,
they have skeletons, they have zombie dragons,
they have vampires. The sheer diversity of those guys really has me itching for a showcase on that and despite how, you know,
phenomenally awesome this looks, I always am a little disappointed that it doesn't have to do with the vampire.
So we'll have to stay tuned for that. I'll be sure to cover that as soon as it comes up. Anyways,
that's gonna be it for this short brief video. I hope you guys enjoyed.
Let me know in the description below what you're looking forward to in these spotlight videos. See you in the next one. Peace out.
