I wasn't gonna make a video for this game.
In fact, as I'm sitting here right now, I'm thinking about whether or not I should stop.
But I'm not going to, number one, because I'm a completionist, but number two,
do you understand
that if we lose this game, sorry,
correct that, reverse it, if we win this game,
we would've dropped from one to seven.
And we saw all the people in the stands with the tank for Shador,
just tank baby signs. Now,
my hard stance on tanking is that I do not
like it. Every time a game starts,
I wanna win, I could die tomorrow, yada yada yada, right?
But, when you get this far into the season,
where winning literally doesn't matter,
where nothing AP can do can help him maintain
the job more than he already is going to or is not going to, not to say that
he's a lost cause. If he's gonna keep the job, it doesn't matter how these last few games look.
It's gonna be just Mark Davis thinking, okay, I'm gonna keep more, I'm gonna not.
When you play a game like this, where you have 200 total
yards, and your quarterback stinks, and you've got your third-string running
back going down, and you can't get the ball to Brock Bowers, and this defense is
playing outside its mind, trying to keep you in the game. Max Prosby's out for the
year watching from home. I don't think he was there anyway.
And you put your fan base through
three and three-fourths quarters
of absolute dog-watered bullshit,
and then you start storming back.
You score. The extra point gets blocked.
If anyone out there put money on this football game, positively or
negatively, the spread was five and a half. That's all I have to say
about that. I'm not gonna talk about betting until I get a sponsor.
The Falcons then go three and out,
but there's a roughing the passer call. Thank you, referees, for being
terrible at your job, propelling us further to the number one overall pick.
But then the Falcons do the unthinkable.
They go run, run, pass,
give us the ball with two minutes to go. And each time on that
drive, I'm thinking, well, one sack and this game's
over. And Desmond Ritter looked like Joe Montana. Couldn't get touched.
Well, one holding call. Oh, there's a holding call. Surely we're done. Nope.
First down. He throws a strike to Jacoby Myers
that we haven't seen him throw since he's been in the National Football League.
And now you start thinking, oh, no.
The most Raider thing of all time would be to win a game
that they were thoroughly outplayed in with their third-string
quarterback on a day where the game wasn't enjoyable to watch from the beginning
and anyone that was rooting for you to win would now want you to lose because you
put your fans through such nonsense through three and a half quarters.
So now if you win this game,
the people who once wanted you to win but now want you to lose because the game was so bad are going to be
even more angry. There's not going to be a happy Raider fan that isn't related to
Desmond Ritter if Jacoby Myers catches his Hail Mary and the ball's
in the air and it felt like it was in the air for an hour.
And then the ball reaches the end zone and
go watch it. The ball touches Jacoby Myers' hands
before being picked off. So now with three
games to go, the Raiders are in line for the number one pick.
We got the Saints, the Jags, and the Chargers. I don't know
if it's in that particular order. I know the Chargers are leaking. I don't know if the Saints or the Jags are next.
Both games are winnable games, especially
with Aiden playing. And here's where you go, Aiden stinks!
Okay, he stinks, but
two interception Aiden is still better than whatever
Desmond Ritter pretends to be from the quarterback position.
And I am worried that because this team is playing hard
we're going to find a way to win one of these games.
And it's not going to be good. Again, I
don't like to lose on purpose, but that game was against a
team that was desperate to get into the playoffs, desperate to fight their way
back into their division. And I know they have been playing well, but the fact
that we had two shots there at the end zone to win the game
with Desmond Ritter and Alexander
Madison and Terrence Marshall Jr.
That's a little scary. So we
need to hold on tight for three more games. If we show some
competitive fervor in the beginning, okay, then win the game, whatever.
You're going to win, you're going to win. But please do not
I'm trying to think of the word. Subject us, viewers
to three and a half quarters of the worst football
that the Raiders have played in a long time just to ruin the draft
position. If you're going to win, play from the beginning. If you're going to lose,
lose. Do not force us to watch that just
to rip our hearts out in the end by pulling out a win in a
game where we had no business winning. I wasn't planning on recording
and I thought, how am I going to talk about this? And here I am.
