And welcome to the ladies room where the most intense, delicate and fascinating conversations
happen.
Just like the real ladies room, just like the real ladies room.
It's been a minute since we've all been together.
So it's great to be re-invited here.
Re-invited and it feels so good, re-united, re-understood.
Okay you guys can take the act on their own, you just keep singing, you just keep singing
and I'm going to, oh my gosh, Siri wants to join the chat, Siri wants to join the chat.
You never know what's going to happen and this week was such a big week in Philadelphia
last week when we had of course the nation's birthday, we had storms, we had all kinds
of turbulent weather as well.
But it was a great week and a lot of international guests in our great city which was so much
fun.
Unfortunately we have not made connections with the international.
No we have not.
Mission failed.
Although I don't think we really had a mission, we should have.
Our last episode you were talking about how you and Kathy went on your excursion to Stateside
I think it was.
Yeah it was fun.
Stateside live right next to the link.
A lot of Americans.
A lot of Delaware Valley people.
Lovely.
Yeah so we missed out but anyway what kind of week did you have?
So it's been such a roller coaster, I'm personally on a six day work stretch right now so the
one day I had off I was able to get in a massage, it almost didn't happen because that July
4th parade was blocking every street in Philadelphia but I had my massage which was great.
And I had a mani-pedi although I'm not sure if a mani-pedi is relaxing anymore these days.
We need more.
What do you think Kathy?
I was just talking to my nurse about this and he was like yeah this is just sitting
there for like three hours getting your nails done.
It was three hours for me.
When you could like do it at home where like I know Megan she does her nails at home she
does them really well too.
I started to do that for myself as well.
She's our managing editor.
Yeah and so I'm like at home you can watch her show, have a glass of wine, it's more
peaceful then.
Yeah my daughter does that like at law school they do each other's nails.
There's one girl that is so good at it so that's what she does, another one that's really
good at cooking so that's what she does so it's a community kind of event.
What about you Cam?
How was your week?
Well I'm also on a sixth day for this week but I would say July 4th and that extravaganza
of the city putting on this $15.5 million concert, fireworks show.
That was insane.
I think the insane part just came from the fact that it was maybe 2 a.m. or 12 I should
say midnight and the Roots went back on and then Will Smith came out and all the stars
performed and we had the fireworks go off at 2 a.m.
2.30 a.m.
Yeah I stayed up for it.
I was like wow.
Did you go?
I almost went but I was on streaming duty so I had to make sure I streamed the fireworks
and I was just sitting around waiting, I'm looking on TikTok, people are live streaming
the concert, I'm like maybe I should just go to the concert.
They did an hour and a half concert after the weather break, after the weather delay.
I was like wow we're really just going to be out here all night and Philly's always
going to Philly.
Philly's going to Philly and Will Smith posted on his Instagram, I was like I am going all
out for Philly.
He was raring to go and he didn't go on until when?
Like 2 a.m.?
1 a.m.?
Yeah it was probably around 2.
It was the Roots, the Meek came out, did Dreams and Nightmares and then I think Will and DJ
Jazzy Jeff was right after that.
I saw Kathy Sledge and I went to bed.
I saw the other Kathy, I'm good.
That was it.
I was just like yeah it's time.
What about you?
It was really fun.
I was out on Independence Mall.
Our Fox crews were out there for FIFA so all their tents and everything they were all set
up and my colleague Drew Anderson and I went and we took our phones and we were streaming
for our streaming shows in the afternoon but it was really hot.
Everybody was really happy and we even met a family that rang the bell.
I think they just kind of like tap the Liberty Bell.
If they even touch it I'm not sure but they have this program where if you're a descendant
of a signer that you can be selected and they have it every year but this family was selected
this year and they originated from South Philly and they came up from their home in
Texas and they rang the bell.
So we met some fascinating people.
I need to do a DNA test.
I could be related to a whole bunch of people I don't even know.
You could be royalty.
Yeah.
What are you talking about?
Don't you know I am royalty Kathy?
I will.
You know what I always thought it.
I always thought it.
Queen of.
You know?
Yes.
Queen of.
So many of those DNA sites they always say oh it's a there's been a breach and there's
a leak.
I'm like listen they have all of our information anyway so go ahead.
If we were royalty.
That's what's preventing me from doing it.
There's always a data breach and so I'm afraid to put my information in.
I'm also afraid of people who I have no interest in being connected to reaching out to me.
Correct.
They will find you.
Yeah.
That prom date that you did not like.
They will find you.
Oh no that prom date is in my looking at my stories every single day.
I know.
I get it.
Okay well speaking of royalty we have a royal tradition at Wimbledon which is currently
going on another sporting event that's been all over the media.
One of our favorite sports right?
Tennis and it is strawberries and cream.
And if you're not familiar with strawberries and cream you they come in a little carton.
It's almost like a takeout Chinese carton and they have the strawberries and they put
heavy cream on top of it.
And this started back in the 1800s.
Strawberries came fresh from a farm in Kent, England.
And it was a big deal.
You were considered wealthy, affluent, almost royalty if you ate that.
Because think about it back in the 1800s there was no refrigeration.
So if you ate fresh strawberries that were delivered daily during this tennis match then
you were affluent.
Right?
Because it wasn't something easy to do because no one had refrigeration.
Okay.
Very good point.
So we are going to continue the Wimbledon tradition with strawberries and cream.
I didn't make the heavy cream.
The supermarket did.
I think I like the whipped cream.
But this is better anyway.
Strawberries and cream.
Did you match the dress to the strawberries?
No but that's very sweet of you to notice.
So here you are.
How nice.
Here's the KO version.
Wow.
Look at these glasses.
Strawberries and cream.
You're so good to us Kathy.
There you go.
You can try these.
And at Wimbledon if you're watching and you see people eating this, there was a great
clip of Zendaya.
She was eating her strawberries and cream.
I love Zendaya.
And just enjoy ladies.
I'll give you a few stats about this.
They use about 55 tons of strawberries in the two weeks of Wimbledon.
That's roughly 2.5 million strawberries.
It's about 251,000 servings of strawberries and cream.
And they use 3,400 gallons of cream.
So that's a lot.
It's delicious.
Isn't it delicious?
It's so very light and refreshing.
And it's so good for you.
I love it.
It's so good for you.
Okay.
Enjoy it.
We are going to take a quick break.
Oh I have one more thing to do.
I have one quick thing to do.
Yeah.
Because I made a graphic.
Can I show it?
Sure.
Yeah.
These are the other famous things that are comparable to the strawberries and cream.
At the Kentucky Derby you can get your mint julep.
At the U.S. Open you can get your honeydews.
And of course at the Masters you can get your pimento cheese sandwich.
I have lots of questions about honeydews.
But we do have to take a break.
When we come back we have a special guest with us talking about Taylor and Travis's
big wedding at MSG.
We'll be back.
And welcome back into the ladies room.
We're talking about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey tying the knot.
And who better to bring in, making her debut in the ladies room, is our resident Swifty
and Fox 29 sports anchor Breeland Moore with the tea.
Welcome to the ladies room.
Yes.
No I'm just kidding.
I was actually a fan.
I stayed up to watch William and Kate's wedding in college and then Megan and Harry's wedding
when I worked in Rochester.
And now I didn't get to watch this one.
But it still felt like a real wedding to me.
Yeah.
Very much felt like it.
Yeah.
Like where are the cameras?
Yeah.
So Breeland, you know, so far we don't really know much except for just seeing the arrival
tickets.
What have you been able to find out from inside Madison Square Garden?
I think Tree Payne, who is Taylor Swift's publicist, deserves, I mean I know she's already
making very nice money, right, but she deserves the absolute world because to be able to pull
something like this off with a thousand guests and it's been days and we still don't know
anything.
I think it's just a testament to what Tree and her staff have been able to do.
And I think that that's awesome.
It's what Taylor and Travis deserve.
Their life is so very public.
It's out of control.
I remember a couple years ago when she went to her producer Jack Antonoff's wedding and
down near the Jersey Shore and there were so many people that it basically ruined the
wedding because there were fans, there were press, there were so many things.
I can't speak for Taylor, but if I experienced something like that just as a wedding guest
when it was my turn, I surely would keep things as zip-tight as possible.
But according to everybody that's been there that has talked about it, they had themselves
a ball.
It sounds like the event of the century, essentially.
And it's amazing.
When we first heard about it and it was whispers about Madison Square Garden, it was almost
hard to believe.
What are they doing in there?
And how are they recreating something?
Because we know what Madison Square Garden looks like, right?
Here's the sign after they got married, just TNT, which is awesome.
So they wanted everybody to know they were in there.
Everybody knew they were in there.
But why Madison Square Garden?
I think it caught me off guard.
Of all the places in the world.
It caught me off guard, too, because when I think about Taylor Swift, I think a Rhode
Island backyard wedding or something like that.
She doesn't, unfortunately, have the capability to have a Rhode Island backyard wedding when
she's that famous.
And there's drones.
And there's people.
And there's everything.
Madison Square Garden is the most secure spot.
And we have seen reports that it looked like a garden inside of there.
That there were basically fairy tale sets constructed inside of Madison Square Garden
that didn't really look.
So it didn't really feel like Madison Square Garden.
Right.
And so I think my initial first reaction was, ooh, I don't know about that.
And a lot of people were like, that's tacky to get married in Madison Square Garden.
But I think that the people who say that that's tacky just can't fathom the amount of money
that is available to create something.
I mean, this is, look at, and this is Travis Kelsey's backyard in Kansas City.
I'm so serious.
What did they do with all the seats?
Good question.
Did they just empty or did they collapse?
That's crazy.
Did they just collapse?
I'm so excited.
Don't you break the glass at Jewish weddings?
So, you know.
Shut up.
****.
Oh my God.
Hey.
We have no one.
There's no one.
I'll get right on it.
Okay.
So man of honor for Taylor was her brother.
Yeah, Austin.
Jason Kelsey, best man for Travis.
Which I loved.
Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney allegedly performed.
Mm hmm.
Adam Sandler officiated.
I love this advice that was out there that he gave, like, kiss each other every day.
But you also know where Travis had input.
Let's just put it that way.
Where?
Adam Sandler.
Come on.
The guest list?
Yeah, I was like, where did that come from?
I'm getting DMs from my boss, like, Mike Rabel was there?
Yeah.
Well, not just Taylor's guests.
Right.
Yeah.
I guess Travis has to have an input on the guest list.
So who wasn't there?
Well.
Notably.
Blake Lively.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were both there.
I have a theory.
Not there.
OK.
I have a theory.
The lawsuit thing really, I think, was the nail in the coffin.
But I'm not entirely.
Immediately after that happened, Travis unfollowed them both.
So I think it was more like a, hmm.
What was the name of that movie again?
I'm not really.
It ends with us.
Yeah.
OK.
Taylor was dragged into some legal things.
And yes, they did stand by her when she was canceled.
But she didn't really.
Let's be honest.
The whole Kanye gate.
She didn't do anything.
And we know that now that we have the full unedited audio clips of that conversation.
The exact way that she said it played out was the way that it actually played out.
And Kim Kardashian edited that to make her look like a villain.
This is a legitimate lawsuit thing.
Right.
That you're bringing your best friend into.
That's just.
That's insane.
So they were not there.
And anybody who wasn't there was there by statement.
Because Taylor herself said on the Graham Norton show.
I think the biggest part and the biggest stress about planning a wedding.
Is the fact that you just can't invite everybody.
And there's people on the bubble.
And it gets really messy.
And I'm just going to invite everybody.
And so the fact that there were people who were not there.
Was intentional.
Especially because Karlie Kloss is there.
Come on.
Like that whole saga.
Karlie Kloss is there.
And Blake Lively's not there.
They're definitely not friends anymore.
Well if you can invite a thousand people.
Yeah.
Of your closest friends.
Yeah.
They're not invited.
They are really out.
I also think it was really interesting that Kelly and Miles Teller.
Seemed to have been missing from that guest list as well.
They were very close at one point.
Yeah.
And then Stan Twitter was accusing Kelly of being a little bit of a clout chaser.
Which may or may not have been the thing.
I think broken friendships.
Did she leak the lyrics to Showgirl?
Oh my gosh.
Streets are saying.
So yeah.
They also were not there.
We could talk about this.
In fact ladies we probably should have scheduled this.
But we have to say goodbye to Breeland.
Thank you for joining us honey.
Yeah.
Invite me back.
