Happy Saturday, everyone.
Happy Bitcoin having, um, the timing is fitting for this.
Me and Steve, we're just talking about this, but we are going to be
talking about go mining, which is a way for you to take part in Bitcoin
mining without you actually having to have a minor, you having to make
sure the hardware you have to even think about the habit.
Um, so I'm excited to talk with Steve.
I've had one of their NFTs that has been mining on my behalf
here for about three weeks now.
So every day I get an email with this much Bitcoin came in.
And so that's pretty exciting to make that passively there.
Um, welcome everyone.
Tyson.
Good to see you.
Thank you for being here.
Um, if you are joining us here today, question of the day to kind of kick us
off, um, is what do you think?
What do you think the price of Bitcoin will be at the end of 2024?
Okay.
That's what I want everybody to comment.
Um, just let me know there's no right or wrong answers.
No one knows for sure what's going to happen.
Even the experts, you listen to some experts, they say it's going to be a
million dollars and some say, Oh, it's going to be, I heard somebody say
yesterday, it's going to be 30 K at the end of the year.
So nobody knows for sure.
Um, we'll maybe talk a little bit about that with Steve and
see what he has to think.
And then of course, if you have questions as we're going, please ask.
Um, we've got the mining expert in the house, so ask him your questions.
He will have better answers than I would.
So awesome.
Steve, thank you for joining us here today.
I've been looking forward to this for a few, we met maybe a month ago or so, and
I've been looking forward to this, um, for the audience, can you kind of introduce
yourself, tell a little bit of your background and how did you find your way
to go mining and doing cloud mining?
Yeah, absolutely.
Thanks James for having me on.
I've been looking forward to it as well.
It's a very fitting timing that we are the next day after the having to be
talking everything, Bitcoin and go mining.
So, um, yeah, to give you some background on myself, I have been in sales
basically my entire career, uh, spent a lot of time with telecom industry doing
sales for a different kind of carriers.
Worked in the FinTech industry a little bit doing SAS.
So software sales and, uh, had been, you know, in crypto since about 2019 exposed
to it, uh, done my own kind of trading.
Things like that happen to just come across go mining as an investor early
stages when they were launching their ecosystem and really just kind of fell
in love with the concept, uh, you know, no barrier to entry in terms of mining,
no hardware, no overhead.
So, um, just became an investor in a platform.
Continued to, uh, stay up to date with them, honestly harassed their sales team
for a couple of years, uh, looking to get into a development role in the North
American market and, uh, you know, six months on now we, uh, are in the team
and pushing market development for them.
So it's really cool to be in a crypto industry for the first time.
Okay.
Very, very cool.
Welcome.
And thanks for joining us.
Really appreciate having you here.
Um, and so we're talking about go mining today.
Um, so let's start with, I like to start with an elevator pitch just so people
kind of have the context of what we're talking about.
So if you're in an elevator with a random person, who's never heard of
you, never heard of your company.
Um, what do you say that you do with go mining?
Yeah, great question.
Um, really we are a ecosystem that is allowing Bitcoin mining
without any hardware requirements.
So that sounds great, but really what it is, is that we have a Bitcoin mining
infrastructure underneath smart contracts.
So we established our mining centers in 2017.
Uh, that was about the time Bitcoin was trending at 3,800 USD.
So you can quickly estimate how fast things exploded from that bull run.
Um, and at this point now we have nine data centers.
So really bottom line is that we have this enormous mining infrastructure.
That we have, uh, you know, learned a few things from hosting, uh, and basically
have developed this DeFi ecosystem that allows investors to participate in our
hash pool without ever needing to come into contact with physical hardware.
Okay.
No, I love that.
I've done some mining myself and there are a lot of complications when you do it
yourself, when you manage it yourself.
And we'll talk a little bit about that, um, as we're going here.
Um, so one of the main questions I get, well, actually let's back up a little bit.
So I have a lot of people on my channel who might not even know what Bitcoin
mining is, so maybe can you kind of, uh, just, again, we don't need, you know,
30, you can spend a long time on this, but how do you kind of sum up to maybe
people who aren't as familiar with crypto?
They've heard of Bitcoin, but what exactly is mining and why is it necessary?
Yeah.
So mining is really the infrastructure in place that verifies the blockchain.
So again, without going into extreme technical detail, Bitcoin is a blockchain
and the miners basically act as the verification companies that
are keeping the chain in line.
So that's transaction verification and that sort of thing.
Um, a metaphor that I like to use a lot is if you think about gold mining, where
it's being physically pulled from the earth, this is essentially a reward
infrastructure that happens for verifying the blockchain Bitcoin is produced to
these companies that have the large, uh, computational power
capable of verifying the blockchain.
Okay.
I think that's a, that's a great answer.
Uh, basically it's what makes Bitcoin work and then you get a reward for it
basically, and in a lot of ways you're trading power for Bitcoin, um, is, is
kind of what you're doing in a lot of ways.
So, um, one of the biggest questions I get when people are thinking about
getting into mining is why shouldn't I just invest in Bitcoin?
Why shouldn't I just buy Bitcoin rather than buying miners?
Um, so how do you kind of, how do you help people think through that?
They have a little bit of extra capital.
Should I mine, should I buy Bitcoin?
Should I do a little bit of both?
How do you kind of think through that?
Yeah, definitely.
Both strategies are great.
When you want exposure to Bitcoin, the main differences that we have in our
discussions all the time is that if you're purchasing Bitcoin, you
have extreme price exposure.
For example, if you purchase Bitcoin at 60,000, that is the be all
and end all of your price.
It needs to increase beyond that for you to turn a profit or to actually
increase your position size.
The main difference with mining in our case for GoMining is that every 24
hours, you're mining more of this asset.
So your price exposure is much wider and therefore is less risky.
Um, the correction we just had, for example, from 73K down to 62K, if you
had purchased Bitcoin at 73K, you're now at a loss.
If you've been mining all the time, all the while you're having price
exposure at every different point.
So it's, I won't say a risk-free type of investment, but it's certainly
lower risk than trading the asset.
Okay.
Nope.
I think that's a good answer.
And then, um, maybe we talk just a minute.
So if people are convinced, okay, I want to get into mining or like I, I have
a dual strategy, like you mentioned, I buy some spot, hold some DCA, some
then also have mining, um, how, how should you think about, um, what are
the pros and cons towards mining yourself?
Um, I know we have some nerds here who want to, you know, it's, they
think it's cool to have these machines running in their basement, but what
are some of the downs, the downsides of that and how does using a company
like GoMining really help fix those problems?
Yeah.
Great question.
Uh, most of the time it comes down to your OpEx costs or your operational overhead.
So if you're a small mining entity, a lot of the time it's very cumbersome.
To deal with the hardware, you know, whether it's maintenance,
uh, uptime, things like that.
I mean, GoMining offers 99% uptime, which is extremely high in the industry.
Typical industry average is about 90 to 93% uptime.
So that just means that of all the devices in your fleet, roughly 90 to 93%
will be live producing Bitcoin for you.
Um, the second op, second portion of that, that is difficult when you're a
smaller miner is it's very difficult to get competitive energy contracts.
So we often compare Bitcoin mining to really just an energy industry.
If you have, let's say seven or eight cents per kilowatt hour as your total
all in cost, it's very hard to turn a profit unless you have
huge infrastructure in place.
Okay.
Yep.
Totally.
And I've experienced this myself.
One of the big problems I had mining for myself, um, was, yeah, machines
go down and things like that.
And you're like, Hey, I thought this was going to be passive income.
What am I doing?
Trying to ship parts from around the world to get things fixed.
And, uh, so I, especially, I don't have a lot of extra time.
So outsourcing, you know, what other people are good at handling Bitcoin
miners, making sure they have the latest machines, um, things like that.
And we'll talk more about that here in a minute.
Um, we do have a few questions from the audience.
So yes, audience, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Um, but I've been excited to talk about this.
So, um, the Bitcoin having happened.
So maybe you can explain to us, what is the Bitcoin having and how
does that affect miners in general?
How does that affect your costs?
And how did you think through that?
How did you plan that in?
And, uh, just tell us a little bit about that.
Yeah, for sure.
So it's really a good timing that we're doing this the day after having, um, in
a nutshell, a very simple view is that every four years, three and a half, give
or take depending on block mining difficulty, uh, the rewards for verifying
the blockchain are cut in half.
So we have just gone from, I believe 6.3 Bitcoin per block to 3.125.
So overall, what that means is that the reward that you are receiving every
day for mining is reduced by 50%, give or take, obviously there's a lot of
complex factors that can, you know, change that from a day-to-day basis.
Um, but really this is where your energy cost is very important.
Energy costs are typically static or flat.
So if you have an energy contract of let's say 3 cents per kilowatt hour that
won't change in a new having cycle, what ends up changing is the rewards
that you're receiving for your fleet.
So I would say that the most important factor is Bitcoin price at the end of
the day, um, you know, optimistically speaking, if we do see a hundred K
Bitcoin, this will realistically offset any negativity we're seeing
from the having cycle.
The more pessimistic, uh, case that we're looking at is if we trend
sideways for several months at 60 K range, um, you know, for smaller
mining entities, this may price them out of mining, uh, if they don't
have low enough efficiency costs.
Okay.
And then are you able to tell us what you pay for power or is
that too personal of a question?
No, definitely.
Uh, we are very transparent with that.
So our energy costs are anywhere from three to three and a half cents all in.
We benefit from some very competitive energy contracts in the Eastern
hemisphere and our investors are able to participate in our pool
for five cents all in costs.
So that is typically quite, uh, underneath other hosting centers,
which are doing anywhere from six, seven or eight cents.
Okay.
Very good.
Um, so let's talk about what you guys have to offer.
So we've got a lot of questions about, you know, how much do you need
to get started and things like that.
So let's kind of talk about, um, what you offer and how people can get involved.
Um, so you can create a minor here.
Do you want it to kind of just walk us through the different offerings that
you guys have for people to get started?
Yeah, definitely.
Um, so our website is very retail facing.
I mean, the barrier to entry has been totally broken as low as 2399.
You can buy one terahash.
Obviously, uh, you know, you won't be mining anything crazy with that, but
we have 20 different tiers available.
So you can go from one terahash up to 5,000 terahash, um, level 20 or
5,000 terahash being roughly an $85,000 investment.
So when you're at that scale, that is certainly when passive
income, uh, starts to be a factor.
And then the energy efficiency ratings there that really is, uh, you know,
the make it or break it factor for how profitable will you be?
Of course, the more efficient, the minor is the less OPEX cost you'll pay.
So for example, at a 35 watt efficiency right now, investors are paying
that 5 cents per kilowatt hour OPEX cost.
If you were to upgrade your mining fleet to the 20 watt threshold, it would
be somewhere closer to 3 cents all in.
So when you're not paying so much operational cost every day, you're
retaining more of the Bitcoin long-term.
Very good.
Love that.
Um, and then as for return, so you have this historical ROI here.
So again, future results are never indicative of, uh, from past performance.
We know that.
Um, but how do you, how do people think about returns?
Does it rely largely on what Bitcoin ends up doing or how do you help people
think through what their returns will be?
Um, if they, if they buy one of these,
yeah, my main advice is to zoom out.
You'd need to look at it from a macro perspective, certainly.
So, uh, at least a year timeframe is what you want in terms of volatility,
because as we know, it will change post having, um, to give you like the
previous 12 months example, our ROIs have been trending roughly
around the 80 to 90% range.
So immediately post having, we can anticipate that will likely be a 40
to 45% return on an annual basis.
And then as Bitcoin continues to climb through the cycle, that's where
you start having higher returns.
So in a worst case scenario, you'd probably be looking at around a 40% ROI.
Um, and then as we move further into the new cycle, uh, as Bitcoin price
appreciates, you should be targeting more of the 70 to 80% that we've seen
historically.
Okay.
Very good.
So people can kind of pick their machine.
They can pick how much they want to pay, choose their energy efficiency.
Um, they can pay, which this is pretty cool.
They can pay with card or with crypto.
So I really like that because it helps people who aren't as familiar with
crypto, you know, a lot of times Bitcoin is people's first step into crypto.
And so you, you, you, uh, you know, try to get them set up on a, uh, DeFi wallet
or something like that, and they just gloss their eyes over, um, do you find
that most people buy with card or do you find most people use crypto or is it
split down the middle or what have you seen there?
Well, it's a great question actually.
And part of my role with gold mining is managing our OTC desk.
So that is for anyone purchasing over a $10,000 threshold amount.
And that really acts as our white glove kind of VIP service.
We take care of the transaction.
We generate the invoice for them.
Uh, everything has been on the backend.
So we really try to take away the operational hazards from maybe a new user.
As you can see there, like from a card perspective, it
caps you at around 10,000.
So when you're going above that threshold, that's where it's nice to
have, you know, an account manager type of presence that is walking you through
this, because as you mentioned, crypto transactions can be a little
tricky if you're new to it.
Okay.
Very good.
And then if people want to get out of their NFT, is there a way to do that?
Do you just sell it on the marketplace or how does that work?
Yeah.
So because these are smart contracts, which are NFTs on Ethereum
or Binance chain, for example, uh, first of all, you can sell them
directly on our secondary market.
So if you click that tab there, you'll see at any given time, there are a
thousand plus contracts up for grabs.
Um, and because they are smart contracts, they're also
tradable on other aggregators.
So if you're familiar with OpenSea or Uniswap, for example, uh, you can
withdraw these custody of them to your own wallets and transfer
them to a friend, for example.
So very liquid, uh, type of asset, which is nice when you're contrasting
it to, uh, you know, typical industrial mining, for example, if you have a
basic miners, a sale cycle on that can be, you know, three to six months.
It's very hard to, to get out of that quickly.
Okay.
Very good.
Um, and we do have a whole bunch of questions from the audience, but selfishly
going to ask a couple of mine here first, uh, but can you tell us about
the token options that you have?
So the NFTs, those seem pretty straightforward.
Um, tell us about the tokens.
I see this V V E go, go mining here.
Um, tell us about the tokens, what they do and, uh, tell
us a little bit about those.
Yeah, for sure.
We have, uh, three different use cases for the GMT governance token.
So, uh, just to make a disclaimer, no one has to get into GMT token to use
our smart contracts or to mine Bitcoin.
So it's a totally optional feature.
Um, and really the first use case is that you can actually pay your
OPEX costs with GMT token, and that generates a 10% discount on the actual cost.
So right away, if you're choosing to front your electricity and maintenance,
excuse me, in GMT token, it will reduce your OPEX cost from 5 cents to 4.5.
So right there, you can increase your ROI expectations by about 10%.
Uh, the secondary use of the token is for sale in the secondary market.
So anytime you're looking to sell one of your contract positions, all the sales
are transacted in the GMT, uh, native token.
And then the third use case is as you saw there in the Vigo mining, uh, tokenomics
section, you're able to stake this for an APY reward, as well as it gives you
some voting rights on, uh, you know, how the platform will develop in the future.
So sort of like a governance DAO, uh, you know, we try to
decentralize it as much as possible.
And, uh, it also kind of has a, uh, burning stake mechanism.
So whenever someone chooses to pay their electricity maintenance costs in the
token, it goes through a burn mint epoch cycle, which creates a deflationary token.
Very good.
All right.
Let's get over to some audience actually NFT game.
I love gaming and I love, uh, NFT games.
So maybe tell us about this and then we will get to audience questions.
Great.
Yeah, it's a kind of a game fi aspect to it.
Um, you know, it allows you to either create a pool with your friends, so you
can kind of have a mining farm.
It adds, you know, a gaming aspect to it for competition and rewards.
So there's two kind of game modes where you have solo mining.
You just do it on your own.
It's a flat static 24 hour reward based on the hash rate you own.
And then the pool section is where you can compete with other
people for a block rewards.
Obviously there's a higher risk to reward ratio with that.
You know, if you're not the group that minds the block, your rewards wouldn't
be as high necessarily as solo mining.
Um, but you know, depending on your risk appetite, it can be
certainly much more rewarding.
Okay.
Very good.
All right.
Let's get over to some audience questions here.
They're piling in.
Um, what is the current break even price of Bitcoin for go mining?
A great question.
Uh, it would be somewhere around the 30 K mark.
So we know right now there are huge supports at 58 and 52 K.
Um, you know, if we had a massive correction below the 30 K range, it
would certainly be painful for mining industry in general.
Um, I don't personally have that thesis in my viewpoint.
Uh, but that is to answer your question.
Yeah.
The current break even rate.
Okay.
And then the way I think about it, correct me if I'm wrong, cause I'm not
a Bitcoin mining expert or anything, but if the price of Bitcoin were to go
down to 30, 25 K, something like that, um, a lot of miners would be forced to
turn off, which would make the difficulty go way down, which would make it more
profitable.
So is that the right way of thinking about it?
Is that how it would work or what are your thoughts on that?
Yeah, a hundred percent.
That's a good analysis.
And we actually saw just in the last 24 hours, roughly seven to 8% of total
hash power go offline.
So the unfortunate thing with being a smaller entity in Bitcoin mining is, you
know, you just get priced out or margin called.
If you don't have the energy contracts in place to operate cheaply, it is
difficult to survive, uh, having event.
If Bitcoin were to fall to those prices, then yes, it would put a lot of
pressure on, on smaller players.
Okay.
Gotcha.
Um, let's see, Dane.
Good to see you, brother.
Glad you could make it here today.
He says, how do they set themselves apart?
So we've had a few different, um, Bitcoin mining companies.
Some have been, you know, NFT, some have been mining things other than Bitcoin.
They've been doing Litecoin and Kadena and things like that.
Um, what would you say is kind of your secret sauce, your advantage compared to
other, uh, cloud mining solutions like this?
Uh, well, first we aren't cloud mining at all.
So we have the infrastructure in place, which is really, I think the main
differentiator for us, um, because we got into the industry in 2017 mining
at an average cost of 3,800.
I mean, in terms of, uh, debt to asset ratio, it's very low.
So we already have the infrastructure in place.
We've done hosting operations since 2019.
So we've learned a lot from that in the context of, you know, typically
with hosting clients, they're very large capital, they're half a million.
At least you're bringing in 250 to 500 ASIC units.
Something that you realize quickly from that is if you have a large hosting
client, leave your operation, it very negatively impacts your hash rate.
That's a hard hold to fill type of thing.
So with this platform, where you already have the infrastructure in place, you're
essentially using the smart contracts as a lease on our hash rate.
You own it outright.
You have full custody of it from day one.
There's really limited risk in terms of, uh, us having any ownership over your
assets, because even the Bitcoin that is sent to your wallet, you have
full custody from day one.
Very good.
Um, let's see at 70 K price, what would the time to ROI on the sunk cost?
So guys, I think if that question makes sense to you at 70 K price, what would be
the, uh, ROI?
Uh, it would depend on your efficiency.
So if we just use our stock 35 watt efficiency, for example, it would
certainly be a lot longer break.
Even then, if you upgrade to 20 watt efficiency, um, obviously the less expense
you're paying in terms of electricity maintenance, the quicker you'll recoup
the asset.
Um, so I would say typically if we're looking at the next year going forward,
it would be somewhere around 16 to 18 months.
Okay.
All right.
Good answer.
Um, why do this and not just keep all the Bitcoin for themselves?
So why allow other people to take part of this?
Well, really it's expansion.
So we've learned through hosting, you know, you can only expand as quickly
as you can find those clients with creating a digital ecosystem like this.
You significantly reduce the barrier.
It allows retail to participate basically.
And we can scale all of our data centers much quicker.
So we currently represent about 2% of the global hash pool.
We would love to get to a four to 5% ratio.
And really the only way to do that is to bring on a huge community.
Yep, absolutely.
And as you grow, it's just going to be a much faster way to scale.
Um, than just doing it yourself.
So totally, totally agree there.
Um, is there a fee for claiming rewards or the transfer transfer of Bitcoin?
No, actually.
So go mining will basically absorb any of the initial withdrawal fees.
The nice thing about Bitcoin is that we can basically use
one input with many outputs.
So from a transaction cost standpoint, it's much cheaper to do that kind
of daily transaction batch, um, not having to manually send all
of these individual transactions.
That would certainly be impossible from a cost basis.
Awesome.
Um, I actually, I want to ask you, I was talking with someone earlier today.
Um, so audience, keep your questions coming.
They're, uh, they're, they're, uh, looking good.
Got a few more here.
Um, but how do you think of what is, do you feel is the role of Bitcoin?
Do you feel like it is a store of value?
Do you think it'll be used as a currency?
I know some countries are trying that.
What's your opinion on the lightning network?
I'm just going to bundle that all into a big mesh of
questions and send it at you.
And just let you, uh, tell us a little bit what you, what your thoughts are.
Yeah, sure.
My, uh, thoughts on Bitcoin certainly our main thing is that it's a hedge
against inflation and it's a hedge against, you know, fiat currencies
that are continuously losing value.
Um, I think everyone will agree, you know, over the last 10 years, the
cost of anything has just skyrocketed.
And it's because everyone continues to print money irrespective of the
government or country that they're in.
So that being, you know, the main point there, um, whether it will
be, you know, a widely used currency.
I'm not sure how quickly that adoption will come.
Um, lightning network certainly is a great benefit because it
significantly reduces transaction costs.
It allows you to scale much quicker with different apps.
Um, but yeah, I would say that my estimation in terms of when Bitcoin
would be, you know, a, a day-to-day type of transactionary
currency could be decades away.
Okay.
Gotcha.
Um, how long has go mining been in business?
So since 2017.
Okay, awesome.
So we've got six, six years in seven years in.
Um, so that's a good, that's good.
History, especially in crypto years.
That's a, that's a long time.
It's a long time in crypto.
Survived the X crash.
That's a good, yeah, that's a big, that's a, that's big.
We all have battle battle us stories from the crypto markets.
So, um, does the dashboard show performance of our NFT daily returns?
Yep, absolutely.
So many data points you can look at.
Um, yeah, I would say, I would say this is one of the best.
Crypto, uh, dashboards that I've seen personally gives you tons of
info about everything, um, has, has everything here.
You can see all I'm down in the game.
Um, but you can see your dashboard here shows you your total rewards.
Power down even further there.
You can look at the reward period.
If you choose currency, it will show either in Bitcoin Satoshi
payout or in USD equivalent.
Okay.
So even from a data export perspective, you know, you can track this entire
thing, export to Excel, uh, depending how you want to track your income.
Okay.
Very good.
Do you, this is a sensitive topic.
Um, but tax wise, do you guys do anything tax wise?
Do you send over a tax document or do you give any advice on taxes?
I know you're, um, you're not in the U S you're in Canada, but how do taxes, how
do people think through that using GoMining?
Yeah, so far I would say it's really up to the individual.
Uh, currently GoMining doesn't really get involved.
We don't currently produce a tax documents to my knowledge.
I'm sure that will come, you know, as further regulation is inevitable.
Uh, but the nice thing with all of the data exportability is that
any individual can track it.
They can certainly report it.
Um, from my current understanding, correct me if I'm wrong.
I believe the only taxable event is withdrawal to bank account.
So as long as that is not occurring, you know, there shouldn't necessarily
be too many implications, but again, it really is up to the
risk profile of the individual.
Yes.
I think that is the wise answer.
Um, so I've talked to five CPAs and I get five different answers.
So, uh, don't rely on YouTubers for your crypto tax advice.
Okay.
Talk to CPA and I do not give in.
Um, I've had a lot of people ask me, Hey, do a video on crypto taxes.
And I just tell them I am not going to do that.
Talk to CPA.
Not financial advice in any way.
Um, let's see, how much does the token cost?
Is it openly traded or only for internal use?
It is openly traded.
Yep.
So we're on many different centralized exchanges, uh, as well as some
decentralized right now, I believe it's trending at about 34 cents.
Um, we've seen roughly a 500% increase in market cap in the past 12 months.
So definitely expanding at a very rapid rate, hoping to get onto a tier one
exchange shortly, something like a buy bit, uh, would be great.
Yep, absolutely.
So I am, I do like MEXC.
So that's my one of mine of choice.
Um, but yeah, here you can see, and you can see the prices here as well.
So, um, looking good as usual, James.
Thank you.
Thank you, Skylar.
Good to see you.
Glad you could make it.
Um, do I have to renew my NFT at some point or does it earn Bitcoin
as long as the company exists?
Good question.
Yep.
It, uh, is basically lifetime.
So as long as the efficiency is low enough that you are able to yield a
profit, uh, which again, you can upgrade the efficiency.
So if you're purchasing stock at 35 watt, you can basically upgrade it to 20 Watts.
But yeah, as long as you have custody of that smart contract, it
will continue to mine for you.
Okay.
Very good.
Um, we got Justin stopping by.
Don't forget to hit that like button.
Good advice.
Yeah.
Hit the like button.
That's very helpful.
Um, Quinton says, are the rewards in native Bitcoin or
wrap Bitcoin on Binance, et cetera?
Native Bitcoin.
Okay.
So you just get straight up Bitcoin.
Yeah, we are Bitcoin maxis.
Love it.
Um, are the operational costs automatically deducted from the
Bitcoin rewards or do I have to pay them manually with your token?
Good question.
So that's kind of where there's two options at play.
Just standard.
If you come into the platform, they are automatically
deducted from Bitcoin rewards.
But that's where I was mentioning.
If you choose to front the cost in the GMT token, you can manually pay those
costs on the side so that you retain a hundred percent of the Bitcoin.
Okay.
Gotcha.
Um, Ken says, what happens when all of the Bitcoin is mine?
Actually, this is a question a lot of people have.
Um, do you want to talk about when that is expected to happen?
And yeah, what, what's going to happen to miners and the network
and all that, um, when we reach that?
That's a bit of an existential question because, uh, as far as my
math, if it's correct, we will be long dead, the final Bitcoin, I believe
is scheduled to be mined about 2140.
So we are, uh, 116 years away from that quite a few having cycles.
Um, you know, I can only offer projections really.
But, uh, the thing that maintains, you know, Bitcoin's blockchain
after that point are transaction fees.
So once the final Bitcoin has been mined, there's no more mining rewards.
That's where all of these mining entities will rely on transaction
fees to maintain the blockchain.
Okay.
Yep.
And I can confirm scheduled for 2140.
So that'll be something for our children, grandchildren, great
grandchildren, uh, to deal with for sure.
Um, any plans to mine other coins in the future?
You mentioned your Bitcoin maxi, but, uh, you know, Kadena, Casper,
Litecoin, all these other, you know, hot coins out there, uh, any
plans to broaden away from Bitcoin?
Not to my knowledge.
We like to keep it pretty simple.
Um, we know that Bitcoin, you know, has the largest staying
power, at least for now.
So until we see that maybe changing, um, there's maybe an idea that,
you know, with GPUs, you could go into the AI kind of field.
Um, but those are kind of just, you know, uh, offside chats for now.
Yep.
Totally get that.
Uh, Ken says 2140, my AI avatar will be able to take care of things then.
So yeah, that's, that's the directions we're going.
Uh, all these, all these companies this week announced all these
androids that are coming out and we're at crazy, crazy times.
So I know it's, uh, it's crazy.
Um, tell us a little bit about the roadmap, uh, what's on, and I like to
kind of what's on the near roadmap, but what also is in the future roadmap?
Where do you see this in five years?
Is the plan to IPO eventually, or what are kind of long-term plans
and what's on the short term as well?
Yeah.
So short term, it's just expansion.
Of course.
I mean, you can see we were planning to hit 5,000 terahash this year or 5 million,
rather, so we're currently at about 3.6 steadily on that path.
Um, you know, we definitely are pushing to get listed onto a tier one exchange
cause that will of course help with our market share and adding another data
center, uh, within either the North American region, South American, a few
different areas we're exploring, which ultimately boil down to energy contracts
And then, yeah, long-term, I mean, just like any other company, we really
want to increase our market share.
We would love to go from 2% of the global hash pool to four or 5% threshold.
Um, just actually this month, we surpassed a million active
registered users, users on the account.
So if we can get to 5 million within the next year or two, that's
kind of our benchmark goal.
And then, uh, you know, going forward, looking to significantly increase
the overall hash rate that we own.
Very good.
Ken says, thanks, James and Steve.
Great stuff.
So Ken, thank you for being here.
Really appreciate it.
Awesome.
Um, all right.
And then maybe, maybe last question.
If people have more questions, uh, please, please bring those up.
I'll bring those up and I'll see if Steve has anything else he wants to talk about.
Um, Mattia says, will rewards be airdropped or do I have to claim them?
Good question there too.
Yeah.
So those are all manually sent to your wallet directly.
No need to do anything.
Okay.
Awesome.
Love that.
True, truly passive.
Very, that's what I want.
I hear that's what I want to hear.
So for, again, calls to action, I'm a marketing guy, so I'm
obsessed with calls to action.
I don't want people to just watch a video and then say, oh,
that's nice to know moving on.
Um, what are the main calls to action?
If people want to get involved, um, either they want more info or they
want to get involved financially, what would you kind of recommend they
look at first and foremost, uh, to get involved in your project?
Yeah, definitely visiting the website.
Uh, we have apps for ample and Android, so, you know, you can
check out the platform, get familiar there.
Um, depending on the size of investment you're considering, you know, you can
do that directly through the website.
And again, if it is over that 10 K threshold, certainly you
can reach out directly to me.
Uh, whether it's on Telegram, LinkedIn, uh, email, very simple.
My email is Steven at go mining.com.
So we're here to help.
Clever.
Awesome.
Well, Hey, Steve, this has been very educational.
Um, I'm sure my audience is going to be really interested in this.
Um, I'll probably talk in Telegram right after this, just about my,
um, more thoughts that I have on this.
I love this.
I'm also turning into a Bitcoin maxi as I get rug pulled
on more and more mean coins.
Um, it's kind of turning me into, you know, what Bitcoin, if I had just put
everything I've put into DeFi and mean coins and everything, if I had just put
it into Bitcoin from the very beginning, I would be in a much better financial
position right now, and I love Bitcoin mining.
I always say that in a gold rush, the pickaxe salesmen are who
really make a lot of money.
And that's kind of what you're being as a Bitcoin miner is you're the one
that's kind of providing the tools that make the gold rush possible.
Um, so I really like this.
I love the website.
It's the most user-friendly website that I've seen the best dashboard
that gives you the most info.
Um, it makes you really feel like, man, I am actually mining some Bitcoin, but
I don't have to do any of the hard work.
I can choose how much Tara hash I want.
Um, I can choose the power, all these things.
So I love it.
Um, so Steve, thank you so much for coming on and sharing this product with you.
I'm sure I'll have you back on the channel.
Um, as we go, um, we'll have more content about this, but thanks for
building something and thanks for sharing with my audience.
Yeah, absolutely.
Great to be here.
Thanks for your time.
Yes.
Thank you everyone.
Happy Bitcoin having audience.
Appreciate you guys showing up on a Saturday.
We will have more to come next week.
Appreciate you guys and have a great rest of your day.
Take care.
Thank you so much.
