¡Ay, Caramba!

Damas y caballeros, ay caramba! Please welcome, Prince William County, Virginia supervisor, Yesli Vega, host of the David Harris Jr. show, David Harris Jr., Cassie Garcia, and your moderator, co-host CPAC Now, Mercedes Schlapp. This is a popular panel here. It's because we've got like the three powerhouse Latinas and David. We love David. Are you kidding me? No, the title of this panel is Ay Caramba! But it's because the original title was Breakfast Tacos, but Jill Biden took that title from us. You did. So let's talk about breakfast tacos here. Cassie, you're running for Congress in the great state of Texas. Which district? 28. Okay, 28. So if you're in District 28, this is the person you're going to vote for, okay? And, you know, you've seen this transition happening right now. You're running against Henry Cuellar. The district has fundamentally changed, which I think is sending a very ay caramba message to the Democrats. What are you seeing on the ground? So I'm so honored to be here today. The red wave that sent Mara Flores to Congress in June is the same red wave that's going to send me to Congress, the same red wave that's going to send Yessie Vega to Congress, and the same red wave that's going to send Nancy Pelosi packing come this November. So we are excited. We are here. And your goal is, and I was reading about, you know, what you're pushing for. It's about protecting the unborn. It is about protecting our Constitution. What do you think is a big message that you're going to drive come November? So I am so excited to be running for Congress. I'm running to defend faith, family, and freedom. In South Texas, District 28, we are conservative, and the Democrat Party has left the Hispanic community. We do not support open borders. We support a strong and secure border. And this administration says we have a closed border. We have news for you. Come this November, we are going to flip District 28 red. Okay. Yes. Mujeres y caballeros, this is what the New York Times calls the far-right Latina. Is she a far-right Latina? No. But, David, I think he's now, the pronoun is Latinx, he, him. I don't know. I've got to talk to him about this. We're very concerned. David, you are such a powerhouse on social media. You are the one who speaks the truth, and you're saying to this, especially to the black community, come home. Come to the conservative movement. What are your selling points? What are you telling them? What's the message? Well, when it comes to the Democratic base of today, so many people are waking up because the Democrats just continue to push crazy. Am I right? They just continue to push the craziest initiatives. In Pennsylvania, they're literally saying that three-year-olds can transition. Three-year-olds, are you kidding me? I'm a newly minted grandpa, if you can believe that. Thank you so much. My pronoun is Papa. That's it. I have a three-and-a-half-month-old grandbaby girl. And for any of us that have children, that have babies or have grandkids, to think about what the Democrats are currently doing right now, what they're pushing on our children. They are literally trying to steal the innocence of our kids. They're trying to steal it. You name any parent anywhere that if they found out that a teacher was talking heterosexual activity of any kind to a three-, four-, five-, six-year-old, that that parent wouldn't be going to the police, and that teacher would be arrested. Now the Democrats are pushing all of this on our children, and they're just standing back. Parents are fed up in the Democrat base, the parents that have common sense, and especially believe and love Jesus. I think America needs Jesus right now more than ever. America needs Jesus right now more than ever. And you're not hearing that from Democrats. I had an amazing conversation with you, Mercedes, before this, and you said something that I said, you know, you don't hear that in Democrat forums at all. You said, I'm going to listen to Holy Spirit. The Democrats aren't, they're praying to a man and a woman. They're not praying to God. They're not praying to the God of the Bible that us that profess as Christians, as believers, as people of faith, believe in. They don't profess in that. They profess in something else that is no identity. It's gender confusion. It's gender dysphoria, and it's an all-out assault and attack on the identity of our children instead of telling them that their identity comes from God. And it's waking people up all across the Democratic base, independents, and it's making Republicans even more fierce in their determination. And, you know, just to follow up on that story when I said the Holy Spirit, the first thing David did, he put his hand over my shoulder and prayed over me. The most beautiful prayer. And that's what we need to do for each other. We've got to pray for each other. We have to pray for our families. We have to pray for our country. We have to pray for our children. Don't give up on your children if you think your children are turning away. Bring them back to the light. Let them know they are loved, and that's what we have to do. That's exactly what we have to do. Yes, Lee, you have an amazing story as well. Another Republican congressional candidate in a very competitive seat in Virginia, which I believe we are going to win as well, you decided to run. You jumped into this race. What made you say, I'm going to take this chance. I'm a proud conservative Latina. Well, I'll say it until my very last breath. We live in the greatest country in the history of the world. Amen? Yes, we do. Yes. How many veterans do we have in this room tonight? Can you raise your hand? Can we hear it for our veterans? Thank you for your service. You are our national treasure. You know, Mercedes, I've never been one to back away from a fight. I am a mother of two beautiful kids, and I've always said this. I do not co-parent with the government. Okay? Those babies are a blessing to my husband and I, and we're responsible for their upbringing, their educating. And what we've seen, as David stated, has been a full-blown assault on our children. And as a mom, you better believe that I'm not going to sit on the sidelines and just watch this destruction happen. So instead of dwelling on problems, I said, let's do something about it. And I decided to run at the local level in 2019. We won not by shying away from our conservative values, but by proudly and boldly highlighting them and talking about them. And let me tell you, this is the year that we take back the House, fire Nancy Pelosi, and set the stage for the great American comeback of 2024. Yeah! I love it. Okay, so if you're not inspired already, I don't know what to tell you. You're in the wrong conference, because this is the future of the conservative movement, of the Republican Party. There are the voices, all of them, that we need to continue this fight. You're married to a Border Patrol agent. You've seen the devastation at the border. I know you talked about it a little bit earlier. But give us a sense of the battle that you're seeing at the border, the stories your husband is telling you, why it is so critical that we stay on this topic. Because apparently there's a border czar. I don't know if you've heard her name. Kamala Harris. She, her, who wears a blue suit. So I want to ask you. I mean, tell us about when your husband comes home, these conversations that you're having, what they're all seeing at the border. Yeah, thank you. So we have a nickname for Kamala. It's Kemala, because we don't know where she's at. Kemala means that's bad. That's bad. Kemala. So we have the most unsecured border. And my husband's been serving 26 years. He's a Border Patrol agent trying to do his job to secure our southern border. And the border is a mess. It's wide open. It is wide open. And the stories that we're hearing, you know, in the Hispanic community, we support a strong and secure border. We support legal immigration, not illegal immigration. And what we're seeing is a war, an invasion on our southwest border. And the stories that I hear every single day from my husband and talking to the Border Patrol agents, and I'll tell you that Yesi Vega and I are both endorsed by the National Border Patrol Council in this race. They believe in us in this race. The stories of children getting molested, 4- and 5-year-olds, mothers that are sending their children, their daughters with the birth control pills to their children because they might get raped on their journey over here. We talk about the human smuggling. We talk about the bailouts. We talk about the 53 migrants. Where is the outcry? Where is AOC with her hands crying about these children that are sitting in these cages? Oh, I can't wait. I can't wait for you to face AOC. That's going to be, like, amazing. But we have the most secure border under President Donald J. Trump. We have the most secure border. Now we have the worst crisis we've ever seen. And the stories that I hear from our loved ones, from my husband, from the Border Patrol agents is that the administration does not care, does not have their back. They want to see the migrants processed and released. And now you've got the mayors of New York and D.C. saying, oh, my God, we have a crisis on our hands here. Stop sending me migrants. Wait a minute. What about the communities in South Texas that are going to be impacted by this every single day? That's why come this November, Republicans, Democrats, we're going to have to see Democrats walk away, vote Republican come this November. And I'm going to send Henry Cuellar, who says all the right things, but has done nothing to secure us over the border, I'm going to send him packing this November. David, just pretend for a moment that you're a Democrat. Oh, Lord. I know that's going to be real painful. If you were advising Joe Biden, OK, you might need to prepare a lot of cue cards for him. What would you tell him? If I was a Democrat and I was advising Joe Biden. Yeah, I'm putting it. All they can do is lie. I mean, you know, that's all they do already anyway. So I think that they probably tell Joe, you're doing great. Keep reading your cue cards. You know, stay out of the public eye. Don't answer any questions. Don't don't don't take questions from reporters that aren't approved. And ultimately, I think that they should tell him to go back to his basement. It's an absolute sham what we've got. But here's the thing. I think that I think that I don't know about you. I'm a praying person. Show of hands if you guys pray and believe. Amen. In here. Yes. I think that the Democrats giving us as a country, Joe Biden, was one of the biggest blessings for the Republican Party. Yes. Because they have championed one absolute buffoon of an individual that should not be running a nursing home, let alone the White House. And and the centrist Democrats and the independents are getting to see who the Democrats are championing, not just Joe, but Kamala. Both of them are individuals that that can't speak in public, that talk in circles if they even say something that makes sense. And it's waking people up. Do any of you have people out there, family members out there that maybe hated you for supporting Donald Trump that are coming around? Show of hands and look around. Anybody out there? Look at these hands. Have family members. I had a family member. My mom always said I'm the best. I have the best of both worlds. I'm I'm half black and half white. But nobody's ever looked at me and called me a white guy. I'm definitely part of the black community. Right. But on my black side of my family, I had a cousin that I'd spent time with him and his family at his home. I actually spent a lot of time with him and his family at home. Once I came out supporting Donald Trump, he actually texted me and he said, when did you start hating black people? I'm like, are you kidding me? Because I'm supporting a man that supports the sanctity of babies in the womb, because I'm supporting a man that supports putting America first and having strong borders. So I we didn't talk for years, for years. Just just the end of last year. No, I'm sorry. It was earlier this year. It was just the beginning of this year. He reached out to me and I perceived that as an olive branch. He didn't come out and say, hey, I was wrong. But the fact that he reached out to me meant he's waking up. And I think that that's been an absolute blessing in disguise for Americans that believe the propaganda of the mainstream media to actually see what Democrats do when they're in charge, because they are fed up. They're waking up like never before. And I think there's a lot more people that are actually a lot more undercover about their support for this man right here. Wow. There's a lot more people that are undercover for their support for Donald J. Trump than used to be. Everybody loved him before he ran for president as a Republican. Everybody loved him. Black folks rapped about him. He was in all kind of songs. Then the propaganda media, the left arm of the Democrat Party got to work. Right. But people are waking up. So I think it's a blessing. Yes. Lee, when Joe Biden calls you a breakfast taco, how does that make you feel? Listen, it just further proves how disconnected they are from just everyday voters. And it comes down to this. You have a Democrat Party that has pandered, has pandered to the point of no return. And people are sick and tired of the lip service. I always tell folks, whether I'm at the gas pumps, at the grocery store, there is no such thing as a Democrat or independent discount while pumping gas, is there? There isn't. We're in the condition that we're in as a country because of failed Democrat leadership and failed Democrat policy. And it's going to take for all of us to come together, push that wagon. I know that it's been some trying couple of years for our nation. It has. But it was necessary because it's opened up people's eyes like never before. It's an awakening. It's a movement. And there's nothing the Democrat Party can do to stop it. We are here. We've said we've had enough. We are all Americans that love this country. And we are no longer going to sit on the sidelines and allow for you to destroy the America that we love. We're not. So if you take anything from this weekend, it's been hard. We've gone through a lot. But I'm so encouraged when I'm on the ground talking to voters because there's one thing that the radical left cannot take from God-loving patriots. And that is grit, tenacity, a right to fight and to take back and reclaim our beautiful and blessed republic. So stay in the fight because we're going to win and we're going to win big. So good. I think the Democrats right now are saying, ay caramba, they're in big trouble. Let's do some final thoughts here. Kasey, I'll start with you. Yeah. So I'm, you know, we are going to win big. We talked about the ballots, gas and groceries. And so, you know, the signs of Joe Biden, I did this. I want to put a sticker that says I will help you with this. But, you know, it's going to come together. Get involved. Get out and vote. This election is so important. We are going to take back the house. I love this country. I'm not a far right Latina. I'm an American first. I love this country with all of my heart. And it's time that we take this country back and we are going to do that. We are pro-life. And I promise to always fight for the life of the unborn, always. Amen. David. You know, Stacey Abrams is somebody that Democrats are talking about maybe running for president. I don't know. She just literally came out and said that abortion is a part of her faith. If you understand that we are in a spiritual battle as a nation, then we've got to pray like never before. And then we've got to go to the next step. We can't just stop at praying and hoping God intervenes. We've got to do what Yesley did. She got involved at the local level. She said, I'm going to be the change that my local city government needs to see. Whether it's board of supervisors or school board, whatever it is, we've got to get involved at the local level. I say wear a message. Wear a message that invites a conversation. You don't know how many conversations I get into with people that see my shirt. Whether it's a picture of Justice Clarence Thomas that says, saved more black lives than BLM did. Or it's why America needs Jesus shirts or let's go Brandon. But I wear a message to invite and invoke a conversation. And we need to have more conversations in this country. The media continues to try to tear us apart and divide us. And if we just talked about what's important to us as individuals, as Americans, we'd find that there's a lot more common ground. And that the mainstream media is just propaganda. So we've got to talk. We've got to take action. And we've got to pray. And then support individuals like these ladies that are running. We've got to find those and support them and make sure that we flip the seats red in November. We've got to take back the House. We've got to take back the Senate. And friends, I'm telling you, if we do both those things, I'm pretty sure we're going to hear about the return of 45 and his announcement for presidency in 2024. Do you want to hear that? I know I want to hear that. But I think we've got to flip the House and we've got to flip the Senate. And then we'll see the return of Donald J. Trump, which is the greatest president that any of us have seen in our lifetime. Hands down. Okay, Yesley, don't make us cry, okay? Don't make us cry. Your final thoughts. You know, for so long we've allowed the Democrat Party to define who we are as a party. But I always talk about my parents who fled war-torn El Salvador and came to this country with nothing but the clothes on their back. Only in America can you come with nothing and achieve everything. That's why we rise. That's why we fight. Because only in America can we stand here, right, as patriots, as patriots that love this country and that have said enough is enough. Don't apologize for loving God. Don't apologize for loving America. Be proud that you're an American and fight like never before. The left likes to talk about history, but only the history that is convenient for them and the history that continues to push their divisive rhetoric. But let's talk about history. We are the Republican Party that has always stood for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We are that party. We are the party. American promise. So be bold. Be courageous. Get out there. Get involved. Be poll watchers. Knock on doors. Make phone calls. Get involved, because you don't want to miss this out. We're coming. The Democrats know it. Nancy Pelosi knows it.
