Yuushien Garden Autumn Foliage, Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, Japan | Yuushien Garden

Yuushien Garden in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, began its first phase of construction in 1970 and has since expanded into a traditional Japanese strolling pond garden covering approximately 40,000 square meters (about 12,000 tsubo).

The garden recreates the landscapes of the Izumo region, including the dramatic Oni No Shitaburui Gorge of Okuizumo, the rich flow of the Hii River, the tranquil waters of Lake Shinji, the rocky shores of Nakaumi Lagoon, and the reflection of the sacred Mount Daisen, forming a miniature representation of Izumo's natural beauty.

For the Kyoto area, the featured autumn destinations are organized into four regions with sightseeing guides:
