Ladies and gentlemen, from Florida, Congressman Matt Gaetz. Thank you. Thank you very much. I am a Florida man. I'm an America first fighter. And I am proud to be Nancy Pelosi's worst nightmare in the United States House of Representatives. Being a woketopian in America today just looks exhausting. You have to be agreed and insulted by everything. Someone forwards the wrong joke. You have to grab your pearls. Someone says something that's politically incorrect, which I have occasion to do. They've got to throw you in Twitter jail, put you in the Facebook gulag. You know what? We are proud to stand here as patriotic Americans. This is the greatest country on earth, and we will never let a socialist politician or a spoiled celebrity or athlete ever tell us something different. And when people get to talking now, you've got to start by disclaiming all your privileges, right? Your white privilege, your male privilege, your tall, you might have a privilege. I think I have a Florida privilege. You folks made it over on I-10. But you know what? That's all nonsense, because we are united by one American privilege that makes us proud and strong and prosperous. Well, we've got these folks in power now that want to make us believe like a totally distorted version of reality. They want you to believe that spending $400 billion more in the Anti-Inflation Act will actually solve inflation. All of the most accurate analysis says it will increase inflation. They want to tell you that if the economy contracts for two straight quarters, that's not a recession, of course. You just feel like it's a recession. To them, it's something different because they aren't negatively affected by the terrible economy they've created and the terrible choices that are made. I know the tide is turning. I know we will take power after the coming elections, but I don't want to win by default or disillusion. I want to be worthy of victory. I want to make sure we tell the people the truth. The truth is we are being invaded on our southern border, and it's not enough just to finish the wall. We have to deport the people who are not in our country legally. Truth is the vaccine mandate hasn't made our military stronger. It's made our nation weaker. Truth is we have to take on big tech. Truth is we have to ensure that the American story is one that does not end with a declining president like Joe Biden. And we can do these things. My vision for Republican control of the Congress isn't going back to the days of Paul Ryan or Liz Cheney. This is Donald Trump's party, and I'm proudly a Donald Trump Republican. I'm voting for him in the straw poll, and I hope you'll join me. My friends, it's been a long, hot summer. We've seen Steve Bannon prosecuted, Donald Trump persecuted. We have seen our fellow Americans deprived of their liberties and used as political pawns in the D.C. gulag. But you know what? The season is changing. Fall will be here soon, and winter is coming. And when we get power, every committee becomes an oversight committee. Every corrupt deal that they've put together, we will expose, and we will restore the great promise of this country.
