The speaker argues that modern dating dynamics have become unbalanced, leading men to perform a cost-benefit analysis and conclude that the peace and freedom of being single outweigh the stresses of contemporary relationships.
There's a massive shift happening right now that women are finally starting to
notice. And honestly, it's making them panic.
Men are choosing to stay single in 2026 and the data shows they're exactly
happier for it. Oh, here's what's really going on. Look,
I've spent over 10 years coaching men or in this realm of dating and
relationship attraction and relationships.
So something's changed in the last, I would say two years,
the men reaching out to me, aren't asking, how do I get her back anymore?
They're asking, why would I even want to?
And before you think this is some bitter men go their own way type of rant,
it's not.
This is about men making calculated decisions based on what actually serves their
mental mental health, their wallets and their piece.
So let me break down the five reasons why men are genuinely happy single right
now. One is financial freedom without the relationship tax.
Here's what nobody talks about.
The average man in a relationship spends an additional 1200 to 1800 per month
compared to his single counterparts. That's dinners, gift, vacations,
entertainment, and unspoken expectations to provide.
But here's where it gets interesting.
Single men in 2026 are redirecting that money into investments,
retirement accounts, side business, passive income experiences.
They actually want and building with wealth that compound one of my clients,
Jake, he broke up with his girlfriend of three years. Within 18 months,
he bought his first rental property and his exact words were,
I couldn't have done this while funding someone else's lifestyle.
Expectations and guys, I'm not saying relationships should be transactional,
but when the financial burden becomes one sided and unappreciated,
men are doing the math and opting out.
Reason number two is mental health and peace. Okay.
So mental health improves that are, and that's kind of shocking to me.
So the data from therapy platform shows a 34% decrease in anxiety and depression
symptoms among men who left toxic relationships in the past year. Why?
Because they're escaping constant criticism,
criticism disguises helping you improve walking on eggshells to avoid triggering
emotional outbursts and being the emotional punching bag after her bad day,
carrying the mental load of her insecurities. And I had a guy tell me recently,
I didn't realize how exhausted I was until I spent a weekend alone and didn't
have to manage everyone's emotions, but my own.
And here's the controversial part women don't want to hear.
Modern dating culture has normalized emotional labor from men without
reciprocity. You're expected to be her therapist, her chooser,
her financial safety net, and still maintain frame as a strong masculine present.
Men are realizing that's not a partnership.
That's a job they're not getting paid for basically. Number three,
the dating app reality. Oh my gosh.
Dating app disaster that broke the camel's back guys. Let's be real.
Dating apps in 20, 26 and 25.
It's a rigid game and 80% of men,
unless you're in the top 20 with books and status and wealth and actually put a
lot of time into your profile.
Don't get a lot of responses because men are really horrible at photos and they
should be better because literally I helped us with a lot of men and I changed
the game for them online.
But the end of verge ran gets one or two matches per week.
And of those maybe one response and of those responses,
90% ghost after maybe three texts. But here's what's happening.
Instead of continuing the soul crushing cycle, men are saying I'm out.
They're deleting the apps and reclaiming their time.
One client told me I spent two hours a day on dating apps for six months,
got four dates, all flaked has zero chemistry.
And I took that same two hours and learned how to make an extra 30 K a year
freelancing.
Women are shocked when men choosing skill building over chasing them.
But honestly, can you blame them?
Number four is the expectation gap that becomes a Canyon.
So social media has created a generation of women with champagne
taste on a beer budget reality.
And I'm not just talking about money.
The modern man is expected to be six feet tall.
Only 14% of men are qualified here. Six figure income, only 9% of men,
emotional available, but stoic ambitious, but always available, confident,
but not arrogant masculine, but feminist. Meanwhile,
what's expected of woman has decreased. I bring myself.
It's now considered a flux cooking.
That's a traditional and oppressive feminine energy.
I'm not changing for any man.
Some men are asking if I have to be a top 5% man to even be considered.
And the return on investment is someone who brings vibes.
Why not just focus on myself and be happy. And look, I'm a woman.
I coach men to understand women, but I'm honest enough to say we created this.
We told men to level up why we stayed the same.
And now we're confusing why choosing peace over purpose.
It's hard to hear sometimes.
So number five is the monk mode movement that changes everything.
This is where it really gets interesting.
Single men aren't sitting around playing video games in their mom's basement.
Some of them are, but some of them aren't.
They're entering what they call monk mode.
This means zero dating distractions. Um,
monk mode is a hundred percent focused on fitness, finances,
and skills and building life that they actually want and becoming the man that
they respect. And here's what's wild.
These men are becoming more attractive by not chasing women.
They're building wealth bodies and confidence.
And when they do eventually choose to date, they then have options,
but many of them are realizing they don't even want to anymore. The peace,
the progress, the freedom,
it's too valuable to trade for mediocre relationships.
So one of my clients I remember said,
I spent 10 years chasing a woman who didn't appreciate me.
I spent two years building myself. Now women chase me, but I'm not interested.
I've seen behind the curtain. Now, here's what I need you to understand.
This isn't about hating women. This isn't about giving up on love.
This isn't about men making rational decisions based on cost benefit analysis.
When the cost is financially draining, mental health decline,
constant criticism, unrealistic expectations,
emotional labor without reciprocity. And the benefit is inconsistent infection,
conditional respect, potential divorce, being settled for it.
Men are choosing themselves. And honestly,
that's the healthiest thing they can do with those predicaments.
The question isn't why are men happy or single?
The question is why did it take so long for them to realize they could be?
If you're a man watching this and you're finally choosing yourself, good,
keep going, build a life that makes you happy.
And if a woman wants to be part of that, she needs to add that value,
not extract it. If you're a woman watching this feeling defensive, good.
That discomfort is data. Maybe it's time to ask,
what do I actually bring to a man's life beyond my presence?
Drop a comment below because are men right to choose themselves?
Do men have the right or is it just another phase?
