Well, Bill, they have sounded fantastic. We want to learn a little bit about the School of Rock and
how they make these amazing musicians. So let's say hello to Josh Hoffman. He is the music director
for the School of Rock. So tell us a little background about how long you guys have been
around and the amazing work that you guys are doing. We've been in a school for about 10 years.
John and Gail, our owners, opened it up. I was a student as long as well as their son,
and we knew each other, and that's how they knew me. We all opened the school together.
And it's been a wonderful ride here in Lynwood. We've had just nothing but support from the
community, and it's been a wonderful build. And we see the community here, by the way,
but tell us a little bit about what you guys do differently as a music school.
So we are performance-based. So we start kids off as young as eight years old, and
our entire philosophy is song first, get them on stage. They will learn through performing.
They're going to learn through learning the song, and then we teach those theoretical concepts
later. Well, let's meet a student. Introduce yourself and tell us what is it like to be a
part of the School of Rock. I'm Liam. I play guitar, and I've been here for I think maybe
like six years now, and I just really value how I get a lot of experience of actual onstage
performance. And learning how to set up your guitar and your amp and everything, I feel like
that's really valuable, and you don't really get that at just a traditional teacher who teaches
you songs and stuff. So it's been really great, and also working with other talented musicians
is awesome. Yeah, you guys all sound great. We're going to hear a little bit more of you in just a
second, including one of our singers. Introduce yourself and tell us what you guys are going to
be performing. Well, I'm Leah, and I sing, and we're going to be performing Heaven Is A Place
On Earth by Belinda Carlyle. Amazing. Okay, so let's let this house band get back set here. I
want to tell you a little bit about them. They are ages 14 to 18. They have to audition to be a part
of it, so that's why they are sounding so good. They are legit. We're going to take a commercial
break, and we're going to listen to the band as we do that. We are live at the Alderwood Mall,
and this Fox Local Zip Trip is coming right back. Take it away, guys.
