So this is Cam Dixon's Honda Fireblade RRR SP British Superstock bike. Now we raced this at
Snetterton at the weekend and after the final race we noticed there was a bit of an oil leak
coming from around the front sprocket area. Now the engine's been due a refresh for a while
so obviously that kind of forced our hands. So took the engine out today, started stripping it
down and yeah a little bit of an issue. That's the crankcases where the input shaft bearing sits
worn out and guess what the crankcase where the output shaft bearing sits is also worn out.
So basically those crankcases are put a bin. New engine in, got the joys of running it in now.
That's going to be a long morning. We'll get that done then we'll give it a couple of power runs
and see how she goes.
So
and there we go, one Honda Fireblade running, new engine ready to go. Brands hatch this week,
223 horsepower at the rear wheel, that'll do us.
