Held from the 20th to the 22nd of the second lunar month, the festival begins with the ceremonial offering of incense and prayers to honor the spirit of the national heroine Tru Thi Trinh, and those who fought in the uprising against the Wu invaders. Years have passed. In the year 248, and then the Palanquin Procession. Yet the indomitable spirit of her uprising, and the heroic sacrifice of Lady Tru, are deeply cherished by the people of Ton Hoa, and the entire nation alike. Every year from the 20th to 22nd of the lunar calendar, visitors gather in Phu Dien Village, Tru Loc Commune, Hau Loc District, to join the Ba Tru Temple Festival. The festival is held on a grand scale across a vast space, following a strictly structured sequence, incorporating temple and communal rituals with diverse, unique, and solemn activities, such as the ritual bathing, palanquin processions, female official rites, and phoenix dances, along with traditional performances in Phu Dien Village, showcasing the festival's profound values and uniqueness.
