But at the end of the day, when you're put in a situation like this,
like I asked to be here. Like I wanted to be here.
This is one of the few things that like I spent a lot of my time doing.
So getting here is absolutely amazing. And I really want you to get here.
The only thing you can do is just put your head down. Yeah. There's no real,
you can't really like, no disrespect.
You can't really pay too much attention to the media. You can't really be,
can't really be just like focused on outside noise.
You can't really be focused on like old playing time this year.
You can't be focused on all that.
You just got to focus on yourself every single day.
Just get a little bit better. Yeah.
From going from the recruiting trail to being coached by McCollum. How has that,
has it been what you anticipated, I guess? Yes. Yes.
So I came here for a couple of practices and you get the authentic McCollum.
Like you guys, when you do the private practice, when you guys walk in,
same exact person. Yeah. And I absolutely love it.
That's one of the reasons why I came here. Yeah.
You had a little injury coming out of the spring. Is that right? Yeah.
I had a little injury. It was a, uh, like a very,
very tiny fracture in my tibia, which happened in January.
Uh, it was the reason my senior season was cut short. Um, but yeah, no,
I've been fully healed. I've been fully healed for the past four weeks.
And yeah. Yeah.
What do you think you can bring to this team right away and what do you need to
develop right away? I think I can bring some positive attitude, shooting. Um,
obviously I'm still working on defense, but that's something that, uh,
when season comes, I do think I'll be able to bring that, um,
at a very high level as of now. I mean,
just about working every day on everything. So whether that's finishing defense,
rebounding, I think rebounding is another one that come season is going to be
very big. Are you a guard or a forward? How would you classify yourself?
Um, so actually coach McCollum in his recruiting, in the recruiting phase,
the way he pitched it to us is he has a point guard and he's a center.
And then he has all like the three in between are really like just the same
position. They're just like point forward to like all like,
I mean, they, they handle the ball, they get downhill, we come off screens,
all of that. So, uh,
that's one of the reasons why I think this place was a great fit for me.
You guys got a lot of six, seven, six, eight, six, nine.
What's it like to prep? Like just constant waves of them. I mean, you got Koch,
Sage, Thompson, you, Kuhn, right? Yes. I mean, it's, it's going probably.
It's perfect. I mean,
we come out here and practice and you compete every single day.
You're competing against guys who are, who have similar skill sets to you,
who have different skill sets than you. So it's, it's interesting. It's fun.
That's the big.
