Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe San Francisco Giants have promoted three key prospects in their farm system following the all-star break. Outfielder Bo Davidson is moving up to AAA Sacramento, while infielder Gavin Keelan and outfielder Dakota Jordan are being promoted to AA. These moves signal a strengthening pipeline for the big league roster, particularly within the outfield.
The San Francisco Giants just made several moves in their farm system. This has serious
implications on the near future of the big league roster, especially that outfield of the San
Francisco Giants. We will break down those moves and that news here on SF Giants Digest. If you're

today's video, this one is brought to you by PrizePicks. PrizePicks is America's number one

sponsoring today's video. Now getting into today's topic, it is that time of year where we start to
see some minor league promotions. You know, guys that started the year extremely well at whatever
level they are at and then around the all-star break towards the middle of the year, they end
up earning that promotion to the next level. And we got three very significant ones over the last
couple of days. Now the first one I want to start with is a very familiar name in the Giants form
system. That is outfielder Bo Davidson. Now this news originally came from Justice De Los Santos,
but he said outfielder Bo Davidson will be promoted to AAA Sacramento following the all-star
break per source. Now immediate when a guy gets brought up to AAA, the first thought is, wow, so
now he is really knocking on the door of the big leagues. It's just a matter of time before he goes
on a run at AAA Sacramento and, you know, earns his promotion to the big leagues. And especially
considering Bo Davidson is a very specific type of hitter where he's really going to run into his
long balls. If he goes on a run like he did in June at Sacramento, then we could see him up in
San Francisco a lot sooner than some of us may think. Now getting into some of his numbers from
this season that earned him a promotion to AAA, and we're looking at that very bottom row at AA
in 2026. He slashed 277, 340, 521, good for a 122 WRC+. Striking out 23.5% of the time,
walking just 8.9% of the time. He did launch 19 home runs in his first 315 played appearances
of the season. I actually heard that he was on his way to breaking the Richmond Flying Squirrels
record for, you know, single players home runs in a single year, but he's not going to be there long
enough, obviously getting promoted to AAA. And now he'll look to continue this extremely hot
stretch he was on in the month of June into July at AAA. For those that don't know, he just won
a June player of the month for the Eastern League in AA. He was very, very good in the month of June,
putting up video game numbers in a very tough league to hit in. So he finally found his footing
at that level in that Eastern League and the Giants saw enough to, you know, give him that
promotion to AAA. And now, as I mentioned earlier, he is absolutely knocking on the door of the big
leagues. And this is the Giants best outfielder prospect. We'll get into where all of these guys
land in their top ranked prospects, but this is their number four prospect. This is a guy who
is on a lot of top 100 lists. So now we are getting that much closer to seeing him in the
big leagues and becoming a potential big league contributor for the San Francisco Giants. Now,
the next piece of news is two names. Actually, this came from Alex Pavlovich for NBC Sports Bay Area.
A few days ago, he said on draft day, some prospect news. So I believe this came out on Saturday.
The Giants are planning to promote infielder Gavin Keelan and outfielder Dakota Jordan to
AA after they play in the futures game. So both these guys were in Eugene with the Emeralds at
Hyatt to start the year, and they both were very good. We'll get into both of their numbers, but
they've earned this promotion. They've kind of been looking towards this step up to AA for a
few weeks now, I would say. And now they went to the East Coast to Philadelphia for that futures
game. It made a lot of sense to them to just stay on the East Coast, go to Richmond and continue
their professional career. And both these guys absolutely earned this promotion. And mentioning
the futures game at the end of this tweet there, Dakota Jordan had a very nice swing in the futures
game. He lined a double down the left field line. So just wanted to throw that wrinkle out there.
But getting into these guys numbers, we are going to start with Dakota Jordan because
he is what I would say is the more exciting prospect of the group. But so far at Hyatt,
he has slashed 290, 346, 533, a 27.6% strikeout rate, 7.9% walk rate,
18 home runs, and 15 stolen bases. Good for a 129 WRC+. Now Dakota Jordan is the most
tooled out prospect in this system. He can do quite literally everything on the field. The real
question is if he'll ever make enough contact, if he'll ever hit enough to be a big leaguer. But
if he can be even a 40 grade hit tool, this guy is going to have a long career in the big leagues
because he is tooled out of his mind. As I mentioned, he's the most toolsy player in this
system. I know you think of Joshua Gonzalez, Luis Hernandez, even a Johnny Lovell as the guys with
the most tools in the system. Right now, it is Dakota Jordan. The only reason he's held back
from being a top 100 prospect is because the hit tool has a little bit to come. But he has done a
lot better in terms of the strikeout rate and the whiff rate since coming into pro ball. Last year
with the San Jose Giants, he was a 22% strikeout rate. So far this year, it was up at 29, 30% to
open the year. He's brought that down to 27.6% after a very strong month over the last month
of ball at high A. So this is a promotion that made a lot of sense. And this guy hit a three
home or had a three home run game within the last week. So it was only a matter of time before this
promotion was coming. And I guess that three home run game was enough for Buster Posey, Zach
Manassian, and Randy when I say, Hey, this guy is ready for double A. Now moving on to Gavin Keelan.
Excuse me. Gavin Keelan is the Giants first round pick from last year, the 13th overall draft pick.
He's currently slashing at 282, 350, 462. So a really strong year for him as well.
He has ran into nine home runs. He's exactly what the front office likes. A guy who's not
going to strike out a lot, going to hit for a high average, going to get on base a lot
and just going to hit for, you know, a very good contact hitter, good back to ball skills.
And that's kind of why they drafted him. So this promotion also makes a lot of sense. And
it's exciting to see where Gavin Keelan is going after getting drafted just about a year ago
to the date. Now I didn't mention to get into where these guys are currently ranked within
the farm system. And this is just our main, this is our top prospect in the system. And going on
through, so this is a very highly touted prospect in the system. Number seven, Gavin Keelan,
obviously the shortstop second baseman. I think long-term he will be a second baseman
with the Giants. Then number nine, Dakota Jordan. And I will say Dakota Jordan would easily be in
the top five here if he hit just enough to be a big leaguer. But right now the hit tool still
has a little bit more to come. We'll see how we adjust to double A because that league is very
difficult to hit in. But right now we're seeing prospects four, seven, and nine get promoted right
after the all-star break. And it'll be really exciting to see how they, you know, get adjusted
to these new leagues that they're going into after said all-star break. Now, I didn't mention,
we get into some specific picks from price picks before we got out of today's video. Now, obviously
the world cup is dominating the sports world right now. And for good reason, it was very exciting
when Team USA was still in there. But of course, today we see Spain and France face off. You can
go more or less 0.5 goals for two of the best players in the entire tournament with Kylian
Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, the young star. So you can check out these picks and all of the world cup
picks on prize picks today. Now price picks also has some really great promotions going on. They're

these are three very exciting prospects in the San Francisco giants farm system. We like what
we've seen from them, obviously Bo Davidson and Dakota Jordan. So showing some really fun power
in their swing, um, really tool tools, you guys who the defense has come along a lot and center
field for both of them and promoting Davidson to triple-A allows Dakota Jordan to get a lot of run
in double-A and Gavin Keelan, one of the more exciting infield prospects in the system. Obviously
he's not one of the three teenage prospects who are really breaking into the scene for the prospect
world, but Gavin Keelan is still the first round pick from last year. There's a lot of expectations
because he was the 13th overall pick in Buster Posey's first draft. We'll be following these
guys closely at their new levels, but let me know your thoughts down in the comments below on all
three of these guys getting promoted to the next level. I think they've all deserved it over their
starts to the 2026 campaign. But if you enjoyed today's video, make sure to go down below,
