Watcha Makin? Phillies & MLB All-Star art!

This is the same temperature blanket. We have turned a corner though. You can't really tell yet because it just happened on July 2nd, but I increased stitches and now I'm decreasing stitches and eventually we'll make a square. But what's interesting about this summer is all the really dark colors. We've already had four heat waves and then where you see this area of black, those were the three days in a row when we had 100 degrees or above. So I think I might have to add a little more of that coming up because another heat wave is coming. But wait, this is about what you are making. I put out the call yesterday for you to show me pictures of baseball related stuff. Yes, a theme here on Whatcha Making. And we start off with this amazing gift for a baby shower. Antonella made this. It is a diaper stroller. So she took a bunch of diapers. Now see, I would have looked at the pile of diapers and said, oh, okay, well they can't use them. But she got creative with it and arranged them so it's made into a stroller. She put some Philly's ribbon on there, little baseballs on the wheels. Amazing. And can you imagine the delight, A, at getting all those free diapers, and B, the artistic benefit for that is beautiful Antonella. Monica, she's in the process of making a fanatic out of bugle beads. She said she ran out. She had to order some more. But when it is finished, it will be a future purse. So imagine just walking around with your fanatic purse and saying, yeah, I made that myself. Speaking of purses, here's a small one. This is a zippered pouch with Philly's material on it. Always fun to carry around. Just big enough to put your phone and your keys in and show your pride in the Philly's. Teresa, she also made, well, it's not a pouch, but it's a tote bag. And there it is, yeah, with Philly's material. That looks so professional and so good. That's one skill I do not have, but I would like to. Suzanne made Philly's, oh wait, the zippered pouch we did, we did the tote bag, okay. And now we're doing Audrey for the Home Run Derby and for the, these are tissue box covers for the Derby on the left and for the All-Star Game on the right. She is really into this. She also made a whole bunch of Philly's ones that we saw, I think, last week or the week before. Now here's one from Susan and this is a big craft using epoxy resin to make stuff. She made coasters and each one has the fanatic and we've got two of the fanatic on this little ATV and yeah, so that looks really cute and they're fun to have. And one more, our friend Frank the Barber. His daughter Zoe is a crocheter and she made him, you see her process on the right and the finished product on the left. She made him a cap and he's going to wear it throughout all the festivities, the Home Run Derby tonight and the Philly's. Yeah, isn't that great? Yes. He's very proud of her. I can wear that in two seconds. People are so creative. They just make the greatest stuff. Yeah, just thinking of it in the first place is sometimes my biggest challenge but you guys are great.
