#177 Fixing our Beloved Oven

Back in the first year when we just started Project Kamp, we built a clay oven. We used it a lot in the past five years, mainly to bake bread during the week and bake pizza on friday evenings. Sadly, the oven crumbled a few weeks ago. Luckily Malte, the guy who made the oven in Season 1 dropped by to repair it. Let’s see if Malte and Istvan can repair the oven in time before the new pizza night starts.

🏕️ What is Project Kamp?
In 2020, we bought an abandoned piece of land in Portugal to prototype a more sustainable way of living. Our goal is to try to find another way to live, one that is more in harmony with our environment. There is a lot to figure out: what building material we use for houses, how do we store energy, what do we eat.
We believe the future of mankind is living and working in communities. Sharing resources and working together. We are building a community on our land to test it in real life and collaborate with our online community.
And we research this not just for ourselves, but for the whole planet. Our goal is to develop a blueprint that people around the world can replicate. All the information, learning and things we develop are shared open source online. So everyone in the world can use it.
The entire process is documented in videos.
Not sure how it will go, but let's see :)
Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe video documents the restoration of a community clay oven at a sustainable base camp. After years of heavy use for bread and pizza, the oven suffered structural damage due to the expansion and contraction of its metal frame. With the help of the original builder, the team implements structural reinforcements and clay repairs to ensure the oven's longevity for future community gatherings.
