The Housley Farm: We Mapped Out Our Dream Barn | Episode 7

Welcome to week 7 of The Housley Farm Renovation Series!

This week we finally put the barn on the map, literally. The permit has been three weeks in the works, but that didn’t stop us from walking the property, putting stakes in the ground, and outlining exactly where the barn will live and how big it’s going to be.

Then came our favorite part: each of us wrote down what we want this space to become. Aden wants sleepovers, Ariah wants a music room and a spot to hang with her friends, Adam is dreaming up an AG park and a place of blessings, and I want a home for gatherings and fundraisers with the people we love. We also explored some of the old buildings on the property, and let’s just say Ariah and I made a very fast exit. Even the old bikes refused to cooperate, but that’s farm life.

Standing inside those stakes and hearing everyone’s dreams out loud reminded me that we’re not just building a barn, we’re building the place where all of it will happen.
