15 000 000 Mansion tour 9 Bedroom Jacobean mega mansion in Hertfordshire

Hello everyone! You've probably noticed we're in a different place today, so welcome to my YouTube channel. The whole idea of this channel is to spend a lot more time with you. A lot of you often comment and ask me to show more inside of houses, so I've listened. So before I carry on, if you could subscribe, like and press the bell icon, that would be really handy. Today we are at a house in Hertfordshire and let's go and have a look around together. Well, they do say when you own a house like this, one of the most important things is the entrance and this one has 19 foot ceilings. I will show you around here but there are an amazing amount of bespoke joinery. Everything in this house is oak. We've got lots of lovely intricate details above the cloakroom and above the door behind you and what just strikes me is the fact that you come into this, having gone through one of the loveliest entrance halls, into this incredible space. So this is one of those rooms I think you are just never going to get the sense of scale until you stand in a room like this. Again, the ceiling height is tremendous but what I think is amazing, so this is 15,000 square foot of living space but at no point, I know it's large, but at no point does it feel too large. So, for instance, just through here is the area that, let's be honest, everyone lives. So you've got sitting room, kitchen, up there, behind there, which we'll show you later, is an office. Then we've got this beautiful, what I would call, formal reception room. Up here, which again we'll show you shortly, is this incredible gallery. So throughout this house, again, you are never more than one door away from the family. So one of you is in here, sitting here, watching television, just over this fireplace. You've got beautiful, beautiful views of this manicured garden. I just think, what a place to entertain. Okay, so now I really, really want to show you the dining room. It's one of my favourite of many rooms. So you come straight from that entrance hall, sitting area and pass this majestic staircase and then you go straight into this kind of open archway and into this glorious dining room. Now one of the reasons, again, of many that I love this room so much is that I just love the feeling, the the darker colours. I think if you are having a dining room, it should be a little bit darker. The lovely thing is, is that if you do have a better day than today, you can open these lovely double doors. You've got a beautiful water feature, hot tub, so great for your barbecue, but actually even better, frankly, for your Christmas dinner or your entertaining friends. Okay, so welcome to what we all know is the hub of the home. This is an incredible room. So we've got, I knew that would happen, so we've got a sitting room just through there. This is a lovely place that the family can sit. We've got TV, a beautiful, let's be honest, we know, bespoke kitchen. There's lots of lovely natural light. Again, until you stand here, you won't have any idea how much glass is in this room. You've got a place for what we now might call informal dining, but let's be honest, anywhere else it would be formal. So you've got this beautiful room. This is where the family spend all of their time and just to the side of me here is the office. So you could be in here working hard and the family are all spending time in here. Now what I want to show you is the gym, the wine room and the incredible cinema. Before we go downstairs, there is the all-important lift, hand-painted of course. Let's go downstairs and have a look. So as we come downstairs, on the left-hand side you've got the important control room and then you come through to this amazing hexagon, which we've got to stop. I mean it's so lovely and all hand-painted and then this is the all-important temperature controlled wine room and I just think what an amazing place. Lovely light, somewhere to sit and eat your cheese and sit down and have a tasting with your friends and what's so brilliant is that we're on the same level as this incredible cinema. So you have your glass of wine and then you come through to this 13-seater cinema. Now what I think is so lovely about this is we are one staircase away from all of the main rooms, so I think you'd really really use this. You can have all your family and your friends down here and it's akin to something you'd see in a hotel. So welcome to the gym. So this was built much later but again I love the fact that it's still got nods to the architecture of the main house, being built in timber, beautiful hand-painted ceiling. What I really love is the fact that we've got these beautiful views of the garden and you can hear the waterfall in the background. Now sorry for the quite obvious double door open but would you believe it, that is the entrance hall. So that is the gallery up to the first floor. We've got two bathrooms, we've got his and hers dressing rooms, I'll come back to those because first of all I wanted to show you this Venetian style bathroom which is just... until you're standing here you would not again realise the sense of scale in here. You've got this bath in the middle even down to these bespoke taps and then this incredible chandelier and this beautiful hand-painted artwork on the walls, just amazing. All these lovely mosaic tiles throughout, it is very very opulent. And would you believe we are still in the main suite but we still haven't seen the bedroom. So you come into this beautiful large bedroom there is a bespoke obviously, four-poster bed made in oak and then you come up here and you have a sitting area. Again everything is handmade, you've got oak inlay floor, lovely toasty underfloor heating and what I think is beautiful and you're not getting yet but you get this view of the green gardens you've got two doors that I think I can imagine having open on a sunny day and look at these ceilings they're all hand-painted and you get all of this kind of country house in your own world behind gated entrance but you're only 26 minutes away from London's St Pancras on the train so it's that close to London but you get to enjoy this beautiful green scenery. Okay so now we've had a look at everything on the ground floor and the leisure suite let me show you upstairs and before I do take a look at this staircase. Okay so we're upstairs and before I show you any of the rooms of which there are seven this is a lovely lovely space so at the moment it's being used for place to play pool or snooker what is so lovely is you're only shouting distance to the rest of the family in this core of the living space and so let's go and have a look at one of the bedrooms. So again what is so so lovely is to my right is the entrance hall so that's where we walked in at the beginning and this here is the reception room so standing here I can pretty much see the whole house and so if you come along here this is really good fun because this is one of the children's bedrooms this is double height so they've got a living space here and double height ceiling and then upstairs is a bedroom and a dressing room and a bathroom so perfect for a child. So we're outside and there is a lovely terrace here and I spoke didn't I about this is the main bedroom here with the doors that open out to the terrace this is the kitchen reception room and behind me or behind you Max you've got these beautiful manicured gardens you've got box you've got you you've got Cyprus and this lovely folly in the background which for me really takes your eye to the back of the garden you've got two beautiful water fountains but actually for me part of the joy of standing outside is looking at all of this incredible architecture and just how well built this house is you know you can see these beautiful herringbone bricks on the outside the detail around all these wooden windows stonework it is so I just love this the the line of the the roof and it just feels so well framed.
