Time now, 909. If you are thinking about skipping your Friday workout, this
might change your mind. Yeah. Um, a Mesa World War two veteran is turning 100
today and he's celebrating by hitting the gym. How cool is that? Danielle
Miller is live at Mountainside Fitness for his big birthday workout happening
today. That's right. Good morning. And this is extra exciting for myself
because I was here a few years ago for Dave Kiki's 97th birthday. And now I'm
here. I wish you make this a tradition here, Dave. I'm here for his 100th
birthday. And this is so cool. And he's still, of course, working out 97th
birthday. He was lifting some weights, doing some laps. And now Dave plans to
ride an hour on the bike, which I don't even think I can do. Dave, first and
foremost, happy birthday. Thank you so much. How do you feel here? 100 years
old. That is such an accomplishment. Well, I feel at home here because I
joined the fitness center in 2000 and seven. So I've been coming here a lot
of years and it's just comfortable for me. But this is lovely the way it is
now. It's just so nice and so clean and you've done a nice job. That is
amazing. You said you're gonna go an hour on this bike. Really? Yes. Okay.
Yes. I did an hour regularly. I've done an hour and a half groups when I was a
little younger. Oh, my goodness. And you were. You made a really funny joke,
Dave. You said this morning, right when it hit midnight, what did you do that?
Midnight? Yeah, I was asleep. You said you woke up because you wanted to make
sure it was real. You turned 100. Yeah, that was something else. There you go.
Well, Dave, what do you credit for? I mean, you look great. You're riding a
bike for an hour here today. What do you credit for the longevity?
It's possible. It's actually possible for almost every human being nowadays
to become 100 years old if they would just follow guidelines of living. For
instance, no alcohol, no smoking, no drugs and keep your life simple. Eat
the right foods. And here you are. And here you are. You made it, Dave.
Congratulations. This is a big birthday. Michaela over here. Michaela, this is
so fun. We have some of your staff. We also had a class come out and sing him
happy birthday. I mean, this is so fun for you guys. Oh, we absolutely love
it. I've had the pleasure of celebrating with Dave, you and I on
this 97th birthday. And now here we are at 100. So it's so fun to see, you
know, our members thrive. And here we are. We have somebody that's 100 years
old, and that's not something that you get to see every day. Very
inspirational. I have to say, I mean, they were saying our anchors, you know,
if you're planning on skipping the gym today, look at Dave. Yeah, that's kind
of like our motto. Now, you know, be Dave Keggy. You know, we need to be
here as well. This location is what? This is our Mesa location, and Dave was
just talking about. We recently did a remodel on it. A lot of our members are
very excited about all the new amenities and new equipment that we
have to offer here. So, yeah, it's very exciting. Amazing. Yeah, so fun.
Michaela, thank you. All right, we're gonna wrap really quick, guys. We're
getting the wrap. Let's all sing. Happy birthday. Here we go. Who you
happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Dave. Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday, Dave. You got what do you? You got about what is it? 50
minutes left. We'll see in 50. I'll see you next year, Dave. Danielle's keeping
him accountable next year. That's right. He said, I'll be here. I'm gonna
finish good for him. He looks fantastic for 100, doesn't he? Incredible. We can
only wish it would be so right now. And I was gonna skip the gym today. He may
have inspired me to go now. If my kids don't, I'll be all right, as long as
they're behaving. All right, it is
