I ran an experiment. I ordered three articles from different Fiverr writers — same brief, same topic ("5 AI tools that can make you money in 2026"), $5 each. Then I ran every article through Originality.ai to see which ones were actually written by humans… and which were AI.
Then I tested my own AI-assisted script. Goes to show the tool works — and that being intentional about how you use AI matters more than hiding it.

Doing a little experiment today.
I ordered three articles from different Fiverr writers
on the exact same topic.
I gave them the same brief, the same everything.
The topic was five AI tools that can make you money in 2026.
And what I'm doing is an experiment.
I'm not trying to call anybody out.
You know, I assume a lot of people use AI writing tools
and they can be incredibly helpful.
But I wanna see if these Fiverr writers
are writing their own articles
or if they are using AI-generated articles.
So we're gonna use this tool called Originality.ai
where you can run content through it
and you can do an AI score, a plagiarism score,
content optimization readability.
But we're gonna see if these articles
these Fiverr writers gave me are AI-generated or not.
So I spent $5 on each of these articles.
So, you know, five bucks, not expecting too much.
But this first article is actually really, really well done.
They even included images.
The content is pretty good.
They give ideas for what you could do with AI.
I mean, reading through it, I'm not sure.
I'm gonna try to guess if these are AI-generated or not.
My guess, I'm probably 60% sure
that this is somewhat AI-generated.
It's pretty long.
So this is article number one, we will check.
Article number two, I will say
I'm pretty disappointed with this,
especially I gave the same brief and paid the same $5.
This first person put a lot of effort in.
This person didn't put too much effort in, I will say.
This is very short.
I could have probably written this myself.
My guess is this is not AI-generated because it is so short.
But we will check on that one as well.
And then article three was kind of in between.
There was a few phrases in here
that I thought that doesn't sound real native.
They have these M dashes,
which is usually a sign of AI-generated.
So I'm gonna say this one is probably AI-generated.
But we will use originality.ai and we will try it out.
So this is originality.ai.
You can paste text here, you can upload a file,
or they also have a Chrome extension
where you can check if content on the page
right there is AI-generated.
I'll show you that here in a minute.
So let's do this article one.
We'll put it in here.
We'll do the AI scoring.
We'll do the plagiarism score too.
Let's go ahead and scan.
Moment of truth, this is exciting.
All right, and here we go.
So originality is 96% confident that this is human written.
But I like they even, when you go through the article,
they'll even show like this is green.
This is human, 99% chance it's human written.
Some of them are more yellow,
which means it's 27% likelihood of being AI-generated.
So it's kind of in between.
And then if there was anything red,
then that's, oh, it's pretty confident
this was AI-generated.
But this article, pretty confident that it is original,
that it is not AI-generated.
So good job to this Fiverr author
for writing a good long article,
images included, and it's not AI-generated.
So let's take this article two now.
Now this one, I'm pretty confident this is not AI-generated.
This is too short.
AI would have generated something longer,
but we'll run the check on it.
All right, and originality is 100% confident
that this is original, not written by AI.
I probably agree, too short to be AI-generated.
So you know what, shout out to these Fiverr authors
for at least not using AI to generate
and actually writing them themselves.
Good job.
So for article three,
I wanted to show you the Chrome extension.
So you can see it adds a button here, adds a button here.
You can check anything on the page.
I'm just gonna click up here, the Chrome extension.
I'm gonna click Start Scanning,
and it shows it's gonna do a full document scan.
I'll just do the AI score on this one.
Cool, I can do it just straight from my browser.
Don't have to copy-paste.
So, and once again, 98% confident that this is original.
So I'm very impressed with the Fiverr authors for this.
So I wanted to check this out.
This is a script that I wrote for a video,
and I did use AI mostly to generate this.
So we're gonna scan one that I did use AI.
Okay, 96% confident it is likely AI.
So this tool works really, really well.
But also very cool, you can do this video replay
of changes to the file over time.
So if you're working with a team editing content,
you can kinda see over time how that document has changed.
When it was added, you can see this one,
there's been three revisions,
and you can kinda walk through those revisions.
This would be great if you're working as part of a team,
and again, wanna see how much of it is AI-generated
or looks AI-generated.
So, and for each scan you run, you can also get a report.
So a pretty nice-looking report of the finding
for that particular article or that particular writing.
Findings of our experiment,
all three Fiverr articles came back as human-written.
Zero plagiarism across the board,
so really appreciate that.
It's not actually what I was expecting,
and my AI-written script got caught immediately.
So this was kinda just a fun challenge,
but I can see how this could be useful
in the real world in situations.
If you're a blogger hiring freelancers,
you wanna know what you're getting.
Teachers checking student papers,
I could see this being a big help for that.
Marketing agencies auditing content,
or even me auditing my own scripts.
Like, hey, this sounds too AI.
You need to write more of this yourself.
AI writing tools are everywhere now.
They're not going away, and they can be super helpful
when people are transparent about using them.
So the problem isn't that AI exists,
it's when you have no idea
that that's what you're actually dealing with.
So what I liked about Originality is that they kinda,
they just give you the data, you can make your own call.
They just say, hey, this is AI, this is not AI.
Then you can do with that as you will.
