Calls grow for body cam video in deadly Wilmington police shooting of Kadir Skinner

A Wilmington family and several city council members are pressing for answers, accountability, reform and the release of body camera footage following a deadly officer-involved shooting that left 19-year-old Kadir Skinner dead.

City Council President Ernest Congo said the community is demanding clarity about what happened.

"The family deserves answers. The community deserves transparency. This investigation must be thorough and independent," he said.
