Brided terror prosecutors say that Daniel Boyce left that 14-month-old girl in a hot car
for more than six hours while he was at work, and prosecutors have reason to believe he was high at the time.
When he closed that door, she was condemned to death in that hot sun.
He is 38-year-old Daniel Boyce, and he is facing charges for the death of his 14-month-old daughter.
Had a routine four days a week of taking his 14-month-old daughter to a daycare.
But investigators say on June 11th that child never made it to daycare in Easton.
Police say Boyce first dropped off his older child at summer camp and drove past the daycare
and to a convenience store to get energy drinks for work.
He then arrived at his job on Certer's Way in Bethlehem shortly before 10 a.m.
The area where the car was parked was unshaded in an open parking lot.
Temperatures that day reached over 90 degrees.
Police say Boyce came back to the car a blue 2019 Ford Explorer around 2.30
and still didn't notice his daughter.
He left the car again and according to an affidavit ran out at 4 p.m.
after getting a call from his wife that their 14-month-old was not at daycare.
Boyce found her in the car seat, started driving, and called 911.
Police told him to pull over, and investigators found the girl was dead
and found Boyce in possession of a Vape Pen with THC inside.
That Mr. Boyce was under the influence?
Boyce is facing multiple charges including third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.
He's out on bail after posting what it was said at $500,000.
