✨Updates! Islands of Adventure With Nikki ~ Two HHN Announcements

Hey what's going on everybody Rick and Nikki here and in addition to admitting to that secret let's do some islands of adventure updates. The construction walls for the Luke Holmes category 10 is the fanciest construction wall I've ever seen. They have lighting features right there and uh surround sound. So if you watch the Sunday Stroll you know I hang out here at the Lone Palm Airport bar and we know our favorite bartender Joe gives me a fancy water. He's not going to be here this Sunday. Ironically he's going to be in the actual Key West this weekend. As we head towards the entrance for pass holders for islands of adventure I like to point out this green building here. It is open quite often for ticket sales. Hardly anyone ever uses it so most likely you come over here you have a short line. So I did get a suggestion from someone to do a video on all the fuel rod locations. I don't know if I'm going to do that but I will point out over here by the restrooms as you enter or exit islands of adventure there is a fuel rod station. I mean I suppose for update videos as I come across like fuel rod stations and pharma boxes I just kind of point those out as I just notice them but no dedicated video. I just googled this. See this sign here that is German for welcome but what about this one? I did not google. I'm going to assume it's welcome in a different language. I'm going to guess all of these mean welcome and the reason why is because I know the first one is welcome in German and this is welcome in English. So I think my assumption is safe to make. Look at the line for the regular entrance versus the passholder entrance. We're winning passholders. That's why I'm still campaigning for a passholder entrance at studios not just here at islands of adventure. So over here in the port of entry have new scrim and new construction walls over here by the jailbreak scene. There's your construction walls. There's your scrim. You can hear the conversation going on now. It's louder than usual. Is that part of the repair? But the volume I don't know if it's been fixed or it's just loud today. Just two things I want to show you inside of the trading company. Since Nikki is here, I might as well point out her favorite sweatshirt or one of her favorite sweatshirts. What's this Nikki? It's a Hello Kitty sweatshirt but to me it just seems so cozy. Like you know you would sit with pajama pants and this sweatshirt like on the couch just watching movies. How much is it? Super cute hanging out shirt. 55. I must admit I can't remember if I've shown this before. Minions lounge fly for $95. Has a cute little fuzzy like side purse too with it. A coin purse on the side. Oh my god it's so cute. Yep super cute. Oh wow you can do it a bunch of different ways. Oh really? You can do a side like how I have or you can change it into a backpack or any combination. Well thanks for pointing that out Nikki. I wouldn't have noticed. The all hallow's eve lost emporium here in the port of entry. A place where you can purchase Halloween Horror Nights merchandise. And to that regard a new announcement yesterday. It's Madlands. Teens Cannibals. In this haunted house a defunct zoo is now the deadly domain of warring cannibal factions that have taken their animal instincts to the extreme. They are territorial. They are hungry and you are their lunch. Any reaction to Madlands Nikki? I don't know. Might be kind of cool. In a zoo. Yeah. Cannibals. Cannibals. Your lunch. Cannibals. Cannibal animals. I love it. I love it. Uh yeah something to walk through and scare us hopefully. Yeah. Now here's an IP house. That's a rumor. Hasn't been announced but it is a rumor. And we were watching um weird history timeline 80s movies and this came up. Hellraiser is speculated to come with Pinhead and I was asking Nikki if she ever saw Hellraiser and you didn't did you? No. But you are familiar with Pinhead right? Yes. All right. But that's all. I'm not a scary movie person. Yeah that was pretty. That had to be out there for you that movie. Yeah. Especially in the 80s. Yeah when I was younger. But anyway like a timeline was saying like Pinhead was like iconic like uh Freddy or Jason Michael Myers. I would not put Pinhead in the same tier. I think Pinhead would be in a tier below Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers. Sure. That's my opinion. What do you think in the comment section below? Is Pinhead the equal of Freddy Krueger and Jason Michael Myers? You tell me. I don't think so but you tell me. When we get over to the Lost Continent I will admit to the secret I kept from you in the last video. Confisco Grill, all its scrim and construction walls are down and gone. But the Croissant Moon Bakery still has some scrim up. I thought they would have had this open by summertime. All the books you can read store still closed. I thought it was gonna be made into like a meet and greet area to get the characters out of the heat and it is hot. So I mean they do need this. Honk Honkers. There's something that Nikki really misses from here. And what is that Nikki? I miss these super giant, not just giant, super giant cotton candy that they used to have that you could put like sprinkled candy on it. I mean and it was huge. I miss that. Bigger than your head. Bigger than my head and I got a big noggin. I know like they used to make it kind of in front of you. Yeah. So it was like super fresh and I miss that. And it was an experience you know. Yeah fun whimsical treat. Yeah. It's been years now. Oh long time but I still miss it. I still think about it every time I walk through here. It was significant enough to stick into my brain I guess. Good memories I guess. Into the Lost Continent. This is the first time Nikki's been in the Lost Continent since a lot of the demolition. So it's going to be a significant change for her to see with her own eyes. Nikki you see this? This is still here though. Yes. Can we put in a bid and maybe purchase it and put it in our backyard? I would love that. Oh my gosh. I would change it into a giant fountain. We have an excavator doing some work right now. The location that used to house the delicious kebabs and the All Hallows Eve boutique and the Sinbad stunt show. All torn down but yet. Wait I see a trident. What? Let's see it. Hold on let me zoom in on it honey. So I guess it's sort of a trident. They shrunk it. Yeah they didn't demolish it they just uh they put a shrinking spell on it. Yes they did. From the old uh kebabs place no doubt. Restrooms and first aid still open. Nikki says it's real hot and I'm like you want some water? And then like I turned over here to go where the kebabs were and the coke freestyle machine was right here. She she can't get any water and they don't have the freestyle machines in the Wizarding World. Nikki you're gonna have to wait until Jurassic Park to get some water from the freestyle machines. So that just made me realize with all the demolition here the biggest loss suffered so far is the coke freestyle machines. I'm just kidding. The biggest loss is the uh the Mystic Fountain no doubt. Though they did like cut off his face. They saved the face of the Mystic Fountain and oh lordy lordy who do we have here? Huggins is working today. Our favorite conductor. Well he's going to be awfully surprised to see Nikki as he uh we have to pause and let him do some photographs with some other guests. We'll be behind him and sneak up on him perhaps. Huggins! Huggins! Hey how you doing? I'm not alone today. The boss is here. That's why we call him Huggins. Always fun to run into Huggins here in Hogsmeade located in Scotland and by the way no Scotland no party. Neither side has a long line for butterbeer today and Hagrid's is just a 90 minute wait so seems like a lighter crowd today at Islands of Adventure based on Butterbeer and Hagrid's. Not quite complete with that paint job of Hogwarts Castle. I'd rate it or call it 95% complete. Welcome to Jurassic Park. Let's get to the watering hole and get Nikki some water. Hey we have three flames today. The only one not working is that one up there. Anyways very hot. Need some water. No better place than the watering hole. Nikki brought her collapsible cup. All right so in the last update video for Universal Studios Florida near the beginning of the cozy mosey I mentioned how the Orlando Informer meetup for Epic Universe sold out but not to spare. That's because I knew they were going to release some like new dates or at least one new day. What December 16th? They went on sale today at 10 a.m. So by the time I get this video posted I'm going to assume they've sold out again. That's a very hot ticket. Taylor's schedule and Orlando Informer and my my video schedule we are not in sync. No. So uh I just couldn't tell you the day of that video because I didn't have like permission to tell you but then I'm not I didn't do another update video until the morning that they're doing the sale. So oops I don't know. Should I have changed my schedule? I don't know. Well for the most updated information for Orlando Informer you can follow them on what? Yes. On Instagram and on Facebook. If you follow all of them there you'll be you'll have readily uh information readily available. And at this moment and at this moment I don't know if they're going to add another date otherwise I would tease you with that but at this moment I don't know. I mean eventually for sure this is not going to be the only two times they do the meetup at Epic. Right. But um it helps if you go to the events. Do the people who like go to a previous event get like first crack? I think that was the first date. The first the pre-sale? Yes. Okay. So they sold out at the pre-sale because of that so. All right. But who knows how it's going to be moving forward. Right. I mean there was a wonderful huge um response. Yes. I think that's why they added more dates. Yeah um all I can say is is the moment you find out they're going to do a meetup for Epic Universe pay attention for when they go on sale and you've got to be queued up like before. They usually go on sale like they pick a time like 10 a.m. I think they went on sale 10 a.m. this morning. Right. You got to be in the queue so it's a meetup Epic Universe hot tickets the hot the hottest tickets Those Epic Universe meetup tickets move faster than the Velocicoaster and on June 25th at 10 30 a.m. it's just a 30 minute wait. So at the end of the studios update video we showed you a favorite lunch spot and a favorite dish of Nikki's for lunch here in City we'll do the same thing at the end of this video show you another one of her favorite lunch entrees or is it an entree we'll discuss at the end of the video. I'm excited. Stopping in here to get Nikki a diet coke. She says she needs some caffeine. Unlike me she didn't have any of the Rick's Flicks coffee club. I had the Sunday stroll this morning even though it wasn't the Sunday stroll. Now we only have a few more days left of that pop-up store for coffee being open. I think only just four days so if you want some coffee some Rick's Flicks coffee club the Sunday stroll blend or like the chihuahua blend or the mummy coffee blend you gotta order it like as soon as possible. The next time the coffee shop pops up won't be until like November. Something in the Jurassic Outfitters I can't remember if I showed it in video or was it a live stream. Probably a live stream so I'll show you video viewers now. I've talked about this fan being a cool spot but one day I came by and it wasn't working or it wasn't on. I did find out that this is the switch to turn it on so it's on now. If you ever come by here and you want to get cooled off and it's not on now you know where the switch is. Still waiting on November for the Jurassic Park River Adventure to reopen. So the casual service restaurant Thunder Falls is going be made over into a full service restaurant. When it reopens as a full service restaurant I do expect the food to be more expensive and then of course you will have to leave a tip with your meal as well. So Thunder Falls is going to become more expensive for all of us. Heading into Tomb Lagoon I wonder if we can talk Nikki into a water ride. I'll record you coming down Ripsaw Falls or on Popeyes. I didn't give her notice you know it's all about the hair with her. Hell it's hot enough maybe I should volunteer to be recorded. Over here at Sweet Haven home to Wimpy's and the Popeyes and Bluto's barge water ride all of the construction walls, check this out Nikki, all of the construction walls have been removed. She hates it when I do this. I'm picking on her. Oh see this well how about this. All of the construction walls have been removed. So all of the little water cannons you used to be able to do are gone and I bet they've even removed the cannon themselves from the foliage here and I am right. All gone even like you could like turn on the shower heads and get people wet but you know all that's gone now. The construction walls for Me Ship The Olive have been removed and the play area has reopened and what's this down here? Is the waterfall going today? Last time it wasn't working but it looks like it is. This is one of the best features of this ride, the waterfall. Let's see if we can catch someone getting wet. Does this one have people on it? It does. A family right there. Let's watch them get wet. Don't scream no it's happening kid. Someone got it real good. It's a Thursday and Blondie's is open. It's been open more during the week I guess for the quote unquote summer crowds even though it's not really crowded. So back when the construction walls were up over there I theorized that that was the reason why the water features weren't working but the construction walls are down now and these water features still not working. As we're sitting in the Comet Strip Cafe getting some water and air conditioning a new HHN announcement just announced. Cybergoria awaken thousands of years in the future in this haunted house and brave a cold world driven by machines with a singular goal to make you live forever even if it kills you. Since we're over here near the Passholder Lounge this is a good spot to let you know that the Passholder Nights also known as the UOAP Nights have been announced. They're going to be on Saturday August 15th and Sunday August 16th 2026 which I think are the same nights as last year. Reservations will open on July 7th after 12 p.m. To reserve your spot guests will need a Pass ID number for themselves and their party up to eight other Passholders. Passholders are limited to one reservation date only must be 18 years or older to register. Here at the Midway Games Top Glow I guess some of these are new but not terribly too exciting. You have a pink piggy prize now and uh I guess that's some type of uh is that a wolf or a puppy or something there the gray one also rainbow spongebob and rainbow patrick. So as we cozy mosey through Marvel now that we had the latest HHN original house announced I think that puts the number of original houses announced at four. So we had Jack and Oddfellow, HR Blood and Guts, Madlands, and then the one we just had moments ago Cyber Goria. Yeah I think that's it for so we should be getting one more. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens tomorrow. They're just knocking out those original announcements but still some uh IP houses to be announced. Will it be Hellraiser or not? We'll see. I wouldn't mind a Hellraiser house. I mean I you know the movie's pretty pretty freaky for sure. I remember it from the 80s. I don't think I've ever watched it after its original like video cassette release. I should ask Nikki since is that at the HHN event is she gonna watch it? Let me let her catch up with me. I've left her behind. So Nikki 45 minute wait for Spider-Man by the way. Now you know how we advise people to watch the movies before Halloween Horror Nights. If Hellraiser is announced as a house would you watch it with me? Yes. You would? I would. Okay. Sure. Yeah I don't I don't think I've seen it since the 80s quite honestly. I think they had some sequels too. I don't remember the sequels if they I think they did. I just remember the very first one watching that at a buddy's house as teenagers. Um you know if I notice an update or two in here I'll let you know. Usually not a lot of updates for Marvel. Spider-Man was 45 minutes. Doctor Doom just five minutes. Although you know I always warn people if it says five minutes probably will take longer. It's a slow loading and unloading ride as they lock you into the uh the seats individually. Nikki doesn't want me to cozy mosey too long. She's getting hungry. Uh can't wait to show you one of her favorite foods again. You've seen it before but what is it going to be? And Nikki's with it or with us and we must treat her to her favorites such as valet parking is a favorite of hers. We did valet park today. She's a passenger princess. My pass comes with valet parking for free though I only really use it when I have her with me. If I'm by myself and I know it's going to be like a busy park day and there's going to be a lot of drive-in traffic or I see that the line for drive-in is is backed up for I will use valet for myself but it's mainly for Nikki. I don't think we can get to my spot in time. We're not going to get there. I could have tried harder though couldn't I? I didn't actually speed walk today. Let's go see what the wait time is for the Hulk. So for this area we had what Spider-Man at 45, Doctor Doom at five, Storm Force by the way five minutes as well and the Hulk is sort of in between all of that with a 25 minute wait. So five, five, 25 and 45. Let's see are we going to see some of the Storm Force in action? Before we go to lunch in CityWalk. It's a CityWalk lunch not an in the theme park lunch. Oh I think they're starting. Have we turned this baby on? The ride. Let's let's generate some lightning guys. Some thunder and lightning. Let's do it. Now this is a version of Disney's Mad Tea Party but on steroids. We've got one dad in there really. Look at the dad spin this one honey. Or the buddy I can't tell. He's got a gray beard. We'll call him a dad but he is really spinning that yellow one. There it is. His arms are going to be tired. And then you have the more casual approach of like those guys right there. It's intense already but if you get an intense dad. Even more intense. Oh so much fun. What a transition in the cozy mosey. I can't decide if I want to continue to cut straight towards the food. Maybe just a little bit more cozy mosey. Let you guys really soak in the ambiance of Marvel and Islands of Adventure. Make you anticipate the food a little more. Get some food in Nikki. She's about to pass out a little bit. The heat and the walking. Well I'm just not in like vlogger shape I call it. You know where like I'm not used to being out in the heat for you know hours on end. Let alone all the steps like you're getting in the heat. Yeah so like there's nothing to say for how strong you are Rick because day after day you put in the miles in the heat. So um you're my hero. Well the summertime is the hardest. It's very pleasant walking around in the wintertime. You just have to be careful in the summer. It will knock you out. Don't want you passing out. So it was nice and she said when we were sitting in the comic strip cafe drinking water that it was a nice break. And I'm trying to be smarter this year. With hydration and taking AC breaks for summer. For everybody too. If you're just not used to it it's just a smart way to be able to last not just a day but multiple days here without falling out. Well yeah because you got to think you know I'm only here from two hours three hours top. Right. I'm like some people here all day open to close. Multiple days in a row. And that's where they have to be careful is like the next day. Starting out the day dehydrated from the previous day. You gotta you gotta drink water at dinner and in the evenings when you're back in the hotel room. You don't want to start your day already dehydrated. Most people fall out the second day. All right the adventure lives on with lunch at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville for volcano nachos for $25.95 plus seven dollars to add the shredded chicken. Which you know for us is a must have. And they really loaded it up with chicken today. And that was lunch. I think that's the item we've ordered the most here at Margaritaville. I know you would think it'd be cheeseburger in paradise but nope it's a volcano nacho. With the shredded cheese like I said that's like seven dollars extra but worth it. Now when you order it that way they're going to ask you do you still want the chili? The answer to that is yes. Yes you still want the chili. You try it both ways and it's better with the chili. But uh two people is not gonna eat all of it. We did it. It's a nice appetizer for the table or it's a meal for us. It's a nice appetizer for the table of like six. Yeah yeah but for some reason Nikki wants dessert but I think for later. Later. I'm so stuck right now but no I can't come here and not get this thing. This one thing. We'll show you. Hold on. To voodoo donuts for let me be clear about this. Nikki's dessert tonight. Apple fritter for five dollars and 25 cents. Nikki loves these apple fritters but since I'm here let me point out a new specialty donut for the Minions and Monsters movie. Yes it's Bavarian banana cream. Tastes like a banana Laffy Taffy.
