Updates! Islands of Adventure Is Already Doing It!

Hey what's going on everybody Rick here and I have a sneaky suspicion about something that's happening inside of Islands of Adventure. Let's go find out if I'm right. But first let's poke around CityWalk see if anything's happening in here. Looking into the Luke Combs category 10 restaurant construction site I can see they really push back like uh the demolition of the sidewalk and everything the walkway. All the way to Big Fire and practically all the way to the Margaritaville. It was a narrow passageway, but still, I mean, how big is the footprint actually going to be? Hey, now to look from another angle, this one closer to the waterway. This is not a full merch search, but I do want to point out something inside of the Legacy store. It has added a section, a few shelves here for Krampus merchandise. A postcard day here in Orlando. Blue skies and currently 70 degrees this morning. Perfect. This new tree that they've added at the port of entry, I'm pretty sure some time of the year it will have pink blooms. It'll be very pretty then. All right, I think we can head into Islands of Adventure now. Okay, we're inside the park now. It's October 22nd. Time to investigate. Are they doing the thing I think they're doing here at the end of the Port of Entry? Construction walls. They've built a little square, a little box. Um, You know this is just like a walkway so I can only assume they're doing some underground plumbing or utility work or could be just some uh Some concrete or flooring work. By the way, the change I'm looking for, I'll know it when I see it. Okay, let's make our way around the park, starting with Seuss Landing. Aha, I found the evidence I was looking for. Christmas decorations have appeared at Islands of Adventure. There are four Christmas trees in here, along with some garland up there. I knew Seuss Landing would have it started. Even more construction walls have appeared. They are around the Whos' home and kind of the start of the Truffula Trees Trail. Okie dokie. Only half of the Truffula Trees Trail is available to walk. I hope the construction or repair is completed by the time Christmas starts though. It appears as if the Circus Magikus Cafe is closed for a bit. They have a sign here directing guests to the Carrottone Bakery and starbucks. You would think if it was going to open today they would just have opens at 11 or something like that. Places that serve lunch open by at least 11 and it's eight minutes until 11 right now. They could be treating Circus Magikus like they treat Wimpys and blondies sometimes. Maybe it'll be open on the weekend. Let's see if Gertrude McFuzz or the Mulberry Street store has added any Christmas decor in their store. Hey, you know, it's Seuss, I had to rhyme. No, just the usual Grinchmas merchandise, but no decor in the store. Into the Lost Continent, which I know has construction walls, but I am interested to see today. If all of the islands have construction walls or if there is an island without construction walls should be an interesting little side quest today as we walk behind Mythos, which has construction walls. In fact, the walls are limiting how far we can go back here. Usually we can go all the way back there and get a good look at the Velocicoaster, but not with this wall here. You shall not pass. I can see that boulder behind the construction wall has blue tape and blue paint on it. Here's the usual construction walls where Poseidon's Fury used to be. I hear they are still trying to tear up the foundation of Poseidon's Fury. Apparently that was built on some solid rock. What? No Christmas decorations in the Lost Continent? I'm shook. Of course I'm being facetious. I mean, they're tearing down this land. Why would they decorate it? Truth be told, I don't think we're gonna find any construction walls inside the Inside the Wizarding World. Well, look who it is. We've got a Huggins sighting. I guess. People have been asking about you all day today. Really? Yeah, they've been coming up. I've had about four people today. Wow. Asking about you. From coming up to me and calling me what you do. Oh, it's you, isn't it? Can you give the viewers a virtual hug, Huggins? Oh, Huggins, you're so kind. Does that look like a virtual hug? It works. It'll work. The wait time for Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure? Under an hour. 55 minutes. In a few more years this won't be such a good view. We'll have trees and stuff blocking it. Most popular ride in the park. The wait time for the flight of the Hippogriff almost as long as the wait time for Hagrid's. 45 minutes. Hogwarts Castle currently home to the Dark Arts Projection Show but the Christmas celebrations start November 14th and it should switch over to the Christmas Projection Show then. By the way, I could not find any construction walls inside of Hogsmeade. But that will not be the case for Jurassic Park. And by the way, welcome to it. I bet you cannot guess the wait time for Velocicoaster right now. 15 minutes! Unbelievable! Will you hold my stuff for me while I ride? Did you see me? I was the guy in the yellow shirt. BurgerDigs! Has added some Christmas garland, too. Here at the Midway Games in Jurassic Park, this is the most Halloween prizes I've seen them have. It's like everyone has something kind of Halloween-related. They made it. One-in-wins. See? I mean, we are getting very close to the actual... Halloween holiday so you know I really should get Nikki one of these Ramenzilla plushes uh she just found a new ramen place she likes near our home and she is a Ramenzilla now here's the construction walls of Jurassic Park and an action shot of them fixing up the roof there Jurassic Outfitters now this is the store I expected to see Christmas at No Christmas trees, but you can see the Christmas garland right there. He's keeping an eye on things. In regards to the Jurassic Park River Adventure, I can see they have the water flowing today. Water flowing down the drop and the water level is at its high point. So, it's an interesting development. Skull Island is the smallest island. It does not have any construction walls, but it does have a black curtain on the ride. Right at the entrance to Toon Lagoon, I'm counting that box as construction walls. Don't deny me, it's made of wood. Wimpy's Hamburgers, not open, just like Circus McGurkis, not open, but with the crowd level The level I'm seeing today I'm understanding why some of the restaurants are not open. Walking back this way, you know what I'm going to check on. You know what I want to know. How's the waterfall doing? Is it running? We've got three people on that raft there. Are they going to get wet with a waterfall? Yes, yes they are. Ha ha ha! Oh, it's good to have the waterfall back. Let's get a close-up shot of the next victims. Haha! but just because the water is flowing on the waterfall doesn't mean it's flowing at the other water features i just i have no words what i don't i don't even know what to say about this anymore i'll make a deal with you though i won't mention it again until they are working and by the way the construction walls over here by the comic strip cafe have expanded they go all the way that way now. And by the way, the droid. Please load your tray. The droid R2-RIX is still around inside the comic strip cafe. More Christmas trees spotted inside of the Toon Extra store. They always start decorating for Christmas sooner at Islands of Adventure than Studios because obviously Halloween Horror Nights is happening over at Studios. They have to wait until HHN is over at Studios to start adding their Christmas decor. That's not the case here though. the midway games here have some generic prizes also some halloween related prizes soon they'll have to convert over to some christmas prizes as we head into marvel i don't think they have any construction walls in here but i'll double check they do have christmas trees in the stores though this is the comics store but i bet all of the stores have trees in them Christmas trees inside of the Captain America Diner as well. As I showed you guys in the live stream last weekend, Spider-Man no longer doing his meet and greet in his usual spot because of the black curtains, whatever they're doing, a little revamp happening there. Instead, Spider-Man is doing his meet and greet by the fruit stand, right over there is where Spidey is now. Spider-Man is one of the attractions I like to check on the wait times. And it's a 30 minute wait right now. So this side of the store all has like black curtains, it's closed right now. There's some of the black curtains right now. It's just this little sliver over here that is open. It had the black curtains first but now it's reopened. We've got a launch. There she goes. And we got some villains out. And we're about to have a second launch. Trust me. There it goes. the spider-man gift shop has its christmas trees as does the fantastic four cafe it has its christmas trees too marvel superhero island decorates for christmas indoors not outdoors so they may add some more garland around the stores but nothing's going to be done to the exteriors and now we mosey not sure of the path we're going to take today not sure what i'm going to talk about either Although I did do a fun thing yesterday, but I'm not going to tell you about it. A video was made. It will eventually be published. I think what I'm going to do is probably before I start this series of videos, because it's a whole thing, not just one video. Oh, let's go in between these. I think what I'm going to do is I will make a special announcement video, probably release I wanted to do it on Christmas, do my announcement video on Christmas, kind of like a present to you guys, but Nikki wants me to start publishing these videos sooner than that. So I'm thinking maybe we'll have a Thanksgiving Day announcement. Maybe that'll be the way to go. I'm going to announce the whole thing. I'm very, very excited for it. I'm a little sore from yesterday. Not sure if I want to give you any clues. I don't want you figuring it out. I mean, giving you hints. So I'm just going to say that I am working on a series of videos that I enjoy very much. Enjoy them very, very, very, very much. Um... And before I start posting them, I'll do an announcement video. I'll try to get Nikki in some of these videos. I've got another one planned to record next week. I don't think she'll be in that one. But the week after, pretty sure she'll want to be in that one. Breezy today. I've had the... The little muff on the microphone, so hopefully you didn't pick up too much wind noise, but it has been very breezy. I bet you the dragon over in Diagon Alley wasn't able to perform today. No fire from the dragon today, I would bet. Something very cool and somewhat unexpected, because well I was not expecting it, happened in the video I recorded yesterday. One of my favorite things happened. These videos take a little more time to record and to edit so I want to get a few done playing Frogger. Either playing Frogger or Asteroids constantly and it's not even a crowded day. I think we will head through Seuss Landing though. That's part of the cozy mosey. But which way? Do I go straight? Do I hang a left here at Green Eggs and Ham? The sign is spinning at least. I should have, I don't know when they started it. It was just stationary for a long bit But it does spin now. That might be too old of an update to mention in an update video, but I might do it next week. For those of you, or for those people who stopped watching after the updates, not participating in the cozy-mozy like you guys. Let's see, where's that one go? Oh, it's going the other way. Thought we were going to get a good action shot of the trolley. Are we still up? If I speed up a little bit, we will. Hold on a second. Purple track. There it goes. Hot shot, says on the back of it. Sneetch Beach. Once the Sneetches return, I'll mention that in an update video, but the Sneetches have been missing from the beaches and the water for a while. Their stuff, they left their stuff though. One of them was reading If I Ran the Zoo, the book on the the beach towel there. It contained the moseying to this side of Seuss Landing, not go down the main entrance. That'll be a little different mosey for us. A little sunburst in there. Zach's You shall not pass. I love those trees. Those are pretty cool looking trees right there. Cool looking trees around here. All of them. I want them. Can I have them? Put those in my backyard. Funky. Funky like a monkey. I mean, any hint of a cloud? No, holy moly, but I think it's gonna rain here on Saturday. I'm going to a wedding on Saturday, but over in St. Pete. I think it's an outdoor wedding. I don't know if it's gonna rain in St. Pete or not, but that would kind of mess things up. I believe it's a beach wedding. There's a backup plan if it does rain. Heading for the shady spot.
