The Other Side of China 🇨🇳 | A Week in Xinjiang

We’re spending a week in Xinjiang, in northwestern China, a beautiful crossroads where Central Asia meets East Asia.
Our journey begins in Ürümqi, exploring the vibrant Grand Bazaar and visiting the iconic Xinjiang Museum, home to the remarkably preserved ancient desert mummies.
From there, we venture deeper into Xinjiang, discovering some of its most breathtaking landscapes and experiencing the unique culture of the region.
A week of endless green grasslands and wildflower meadows unfolds beneath snow-capped mountains and turquoise lakes. We watch Kazakh herdsmen riding across the plains and wander through landscapes that seem suspended above the clouds. At times, it feels as though we've stepped into a Studio Ghibli film.
