Grown in Tengchong’s rich volcanic soil, these fresh lily bulbs are big and plump, with thick, tender layers and a delicate natural sweetness. A little simple cooking is all it takes to bring out their flavor. Simmered in broth, lightly stir-fried, or paired with meat, they make every dish delicious in its own way… The lily bulbs were wonderful, but I do have one regret—we didn’t bring Grandpa along!
