The narrator documents the discovery and care of two litters of kittens on a farm. The video follows the process of feeding the kittens, managing farm chores with cattle, and introducing the mother cats, while explaining the narrator's philosophy on keeping farm cats.
So I may have just found the cutest kittens I've seen in my entire life.
Oh my goodness, those are the cutest kittens I've ever seen.
What are you guys doing up here? I've never seen those before.
And I found them literally like five minutes ago.
I want to go back up and see them but I'd also like to give them some food up there
and the cats are out of food so I'm gonna see if we have some in the barn
and if we don't then I'm gonna have to go to the feed store to get some for them.
I see dog food and chicken food but no cat food.
So it looks like we gotta make a quick trip to the store.
Chickens.
That was not great, was it?
The cats are picking up my mess and the chickens.
Oh, they scattered up there.
Hi baby.
You okay?
You want food?
There are wasps everywhere up here.
Come here.
Oh my gosh.
It's food.
I did not expect it to run way up to me.
Ew.
Nope, nope, nope.
Come here.
No, not you.
You leave.
Come here.
You're okay, I promise.
Oh, mama's here.
Hi, Hermione.
We have never had a cat that looks like that and I think they all look similar.
Can I say hi?
Oh, you're okay.
You're okay.
You're protecting the food.
You're good.
I'm gonna take the scoop, put some more food here where I originally found them,
and I'll come see if they're here again later.
Now, there's another litter of kittens that I know of that I have actually seen,
but they've been moving around a lot,
but I'm gonna see if I can find where they're at right now.
They were in here yesterday.
Yeah, this is not where they're at right now.
Why are you all following me?
I don't even feed you.
Oh, hi.
I hear something.
You hear?
Oh, yep.
I actually think I saw this one earlier today.
It might be lost from all the others.
And would you look at that?
So they're still back here.
Every time they see me, I'm gonna try and leave some food
just so that they know that if they see me, it means they get food.
And I know it kind of looks like everything just kind of looks dirty and gross,
but the moms don't pick the good, polished, cleaned,
well-lived-in areas to keep their kittens.
They choose the, like, abandoned, uninhabited areas where their kittens are safe.
We've got a lot of work to do tonight for the cows.
We have to let the bull out with all of the ladies,
and then we also have to move all of them to new grass.
So it's gonna be a lot of fun.
Hopefully, it goes smoothly.
Okay, dad is opening up Pancho the bull to let him out towards the cows,
and then we're gonna move everybody.
But I don't know if we're gonna let the bull all the way out with them
until we move the girls.
I don't know what his plan is.
You know what's happening, huh?
They just saw my dad and took off running.
Rosie's like, whatever.
The bull's excited.
I'm gonna start putting this in right at that corner.
I need you guys to drive.
Eli's gonna hand me post.
Ev, you're gonna drive towards just to the left of that tree.
On the inside?
I would say on the outside.
Okay.
Yeah, you gotta be on the inside,
cause you gotta get inside of here, huh?
Yeah.
What is it?
A huge snakeskin.
Oh my goodness.
That is really big.
Nice.
Hi, Maui.
Happy cows.
Oh, is he supposed to be over here?
Really quickly before I head in for the night,
I want to see if that kitten is still lost on its own.
And if it is, then I'll help it get back to the barn.
What are you doing?
That's not your spot.
I don't see a kitty here.
Okay, well hopefully the little guy or girl found his way back.
Nevermind, they're here.
Oh, hello.
Let's go find everybody.
You've been crying all day, haven't you?
You don't want to leave?
You're scared.
Okay, there we go.
Okay, so before we try and look for the kittens again today,
I want you to meet the mamas to these babies.
So we have two litters, so there are two mama cats.
The first one you've already seen quite a bit of,
and it's Hermione right here.
She's been a mama for a few years now,
and she is the greatest mom ever.
And she always has the cutest kittens.
A lot of the cats over here are actually her babies.
And this is the other one.
I'm not sure if it's Hermione's daughter or sister,
but I'm guessing it's her daughter.
She actually hasn't had a name.
I just haven't come up with a good one for her.
And I just today decided that I want to call her Raven.
So those are the mamas.
Now, believe it or not, Raven's kittens actually moved again.
And they are now where I originally found them,
where the food cans are.
I already see one.
Right there.
I got him.
Ow, you bit me.
Is the food that good?
There's one more.
More food.
That's your mom.
Can you go say hi to her?
Look what we got here.
Can you get down?
No.
Down.
Thank you.
You kitties want some food?
I can put you up here.
I know you're scared of me.
Dude, get down.
You seriously need to stop.
Oh, yeah.
Could you stop?
See what's up there.
I see one right there.
Hi.
Hello.
He ate everything from yesterday.
So, for the entirety of the time that I've been making videos,
I have been getting comments of people telling me
we need to fix our cats and we shouldn't be having kittens.
And I definitely understand that from the mindset of, like, strays,
not wanting strays running around and wanting to fix them.
But these are farm cats.
We need cats that are going to be eating the mice.
And we just love having kittens on the farm.
We've never had any kind of issues with way too many cats.
And we've also never had any problems with inbreeding
because our girls naturally seek out male cats that aren't on the farm.
So, for the most part, our cats have always been pretty healthy.
And, yeah, we've never really had any big issues
with keeping our cats from being spayed.
And if we did, and if it was actually bad for them in our farm,
then we probably would keep them spayed.
Let's see what kittens are eating the food.
Oh, goodness, hello.
I know, I'm still scary.
This chicken is still trying to eat the cat food.
See, now she's being naughty too.
Hi, goats.
Okay, that one kitten isn't in the corner anymore.
So that tells me that they're probably eating food.
Hi.
You're okay.
No, I'm not gonna hurt you.
Oh my.
You're so cute.
You look terrified, but you're cute.
What are you doing down here?
It's like, I'm wondering the same thing.
Look at this sweet thing.
Okay.
You're so cute.
You're probably a girl.
The feisty ones are always girls.
You're okay.
Your hair is sticking up.
Oh, there's your mama.
There's your mom.
Now the babies are like, what, mom?
You're so cute, mama.
Hello.
I see five.
That's a lot of babies.
Hi.
This is the one that was just down there.
The meows, they're so cute.
They are precious.
Oh my gosh.
I know, they're being playful.
The last one's over here, sleeping with mama.
I have built a home for you, for me, until the riches appear from me, from you.
Pieces of my world came together in you.
It was all I built in you.
For a sign, sunbeams, everything.
Take me back there again.
You can definitely tell of all of them who is the most brave.
First one that came up, I just feel like it's a girl, but I haven't checked yet.
But here we've got the brave little girl.
She's a little sassy too.
And this is the smallest one.
The orange one and the other two are back there.
Still a little shy.
We've got this barn door open and it's so beautiful.
It's about to rain.
Take me back there again.
I'm done here now and we got three of the little ones chowing down on food.
I just gave this to them and they're so happy.
I love the kittens.
They're the best.
Well, the kittens are all pretty close to me.
They're getting less and less scared and more curious, which is amazing.
But I still don't know which ones are girls and which ones are boys.
So we can't really name them until we figure that out.
They are little cuties.
Their personalities are all so funny.
Are you chasing your tail?
It is probably my favorite part of my day, every day, to go up there and spend time with
the kittens.
They're just so cute and so fun to hang out with.
Now, as for the other litter, Raven's babies, I don't really know how many there are exactly.
What I figured out is they usually stay in the old barn.
That's their dwelling area.
And then in evenings, they'll come up here sometimes to get food.
So that's been their routine lately, it seems like.
And I still don't know exactly how many that there are, but I think there's four or five.
So yeah, all these kittens are absolutely adorable and I hope you enjoyed following
me along as I found them and then tried to get them to warm up to me.
So God bless you and I will see you in the next one.
