Russian Zelinksy DOT MAG Respirator Review

Review of the Russian Zelinksy DOT MAG Respirator/Gas Mask. These seem to be called the GP-9 or MAG 9 a lot but I don't see it officially referred to that anywhere.
This is a panoramic respirator with an absolutely excellent field of view. The filter port is marked RD40 1/7 so unlike lots of Russian masks NATO 40mm/RD40 filters will fit totally fine. Downsides is the rubber has a rather unpleasant smell and the strap design has a rather serious flaw. The straps sometimes won't tighten as the rubber can fold in on itself.
Overall if you can get one on Amazon for around £40-50 they are certainly worth it, just be aware the strap system may take some getting used to.
