Eyrie Residence is a contemporary hillside home in Beechworth, Australia, designed by Schmölzer Architecture to engage with its dramatic escarpment setting and expansive alpine views. Organized around a sheltered central courtyard, the residence combines concrete volumes, a continuous roofline, and carefully framed openings that capture the surrounding landscape while providing comfort, privacy, and protection from the elements. Through its restrained material palette, thoughtful environmental design, and seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces, the house creates a calm and immersive experience that celebrates both architecture and nature.
