Miami welcomes Scotland fans and 'Tartan Army' ahead of World Cup match

Off the pitch, the bagpipes have made their way from Boston to South Beach as Scottish fans keep the party going in Miami. It's a collision of cultures as fans anticipate Scotland's next game in South Florida on Wednesday. NBC News correspondent Jesse Kirsch is in Miami. Even though the next match is a few days away, fans are already fired up there. How are the Scottish fans and the city of Miami embracing one another, Jesse? Christine, I've lived here for a couple years now. I have not seen anything like this before. We've got hundreds of people in the streets listening to the bagpipes. Just a couple doors down from where we are right now, they've got salsa dancing. And through it all, in this roughly 100 degree feels like temperature, people are in kilts. And when we talk about how many people are here, you mentioned the matches on Wednesday night against Brazil. But this place is already packed with Scotland fans. How do we know? Because apparently around 8,000 of them have bought tickets to go to a baseball game this afternoon at the Marlins Ballpark. We are right now in Little Havana on Calle Ocho, which is the Cuban community's centerpiece, traditional centerpiece here in Miami. And you can see how many people are spilling out off the sidewalks into the streets here. We'll turn around. This is the salsa bar I was just talking about. People have been lining up in their kilts, playing the bagpipes. Someone had a Loch Ness Monster hat on as well. And one other thing I should mention about that baseball game, about 8,000 tickets sold to the Tartan Army. And you might remember in Boston, they made headlines for drinking so much beer that bars were selling out of certain types of beer. Well, here in Miami, to entice these fans to go to the baseball game, they threw in with a ticket two beers, included with the price of admission. So they're getting them started. But for people who live in South Florida, worried about finding a drink at their watering hole, it's all good. We've got... Scotland! The party's already started.
