Just as the black flood reaches its highest and most violent moment, a white-robed sage appears beneath the broken sky.

His body shines with pure white light. To the world, that light feels gentle, calm, and merciful, as if it can soothe all living things. But when it touches the darkness, the demons are instantly shattered. The sage looks upon the endless evil before him and lets out a quiet sigh. For a brief moment, sorrow passes through his eyes.

Then he draws his sword.

With one strike from below upward, he sends a vast current of power forward. The blade cuts through the heavens like a silver thunderbolt and splits the black flood in two. In that instant, the sage makes his decision:

He will fight to the death here.

He rises into the air and charges straight into the battlefield. The divine sword in his hand begins to roar, releasing boundless radiance.
