We Bottled 30 Litres of Elderflower Champagne While Rebuilding Our 200-Year-Old Farm
EPISODE 115 - Nati continues making the traditional homemade drink commonly known as elderflower champagne—not Champagne from the Champagne region.
After a few days of fermenting, it’s time to strain and bottle almost 30 litres of this beautiful seasonal drink — a much longer job than expected!
While Nati works through the bottling process, she also makes a quick farmhouse lunch using leftovers and fresh duck eggs kindly given to us by our neighbours, turning them into a simple and delicious frittata.
Meanwhile, Amaury continues restoring the roof structure of the first old building on the farm, working on traditional mortise-and-tenon carpentry as we slowly bring this historic stone building back to life.
A day of homemade elderflower champagne, French countryside living, farmhouse cooking, traditional carpentry, and restoring our old farm one step at a time — we’re so happy you’re on this journey with us. 💛
