Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has expanded its timeline to integrate characters and aesthetics from the original trilogy. The update introduces cinematic music, rethemed shops like Black Spire Surplus, and iconic figures such as Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. Visitors experience a blend of eras, enhanced immersive dining at Oga's Cantina, and new screen-used prop displays and merchandise.
All right, sons, everybody, and welcome back to Ordinary Adventures.
Star Wars Galaxy's Edge just got one of the biggest changes ever.
Batuu's timeline has been expanded, which means original trilogy characters
Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Han Solo now appear in Black Spire Outpost.
But with that change, parts of the land have also been rethemed,
and today we're checking out everything new.
The updated details, new food, and new Tiki mug.
We'll even get galactic IDs and a bunch of new merch.
And we'll find out, is this new version of Batuu an improvement or a downgrade?
Why don't you come with us on this adventure?
Okay, so we're about to enter Galaxy's Edge for the first time with the expanded timeline.
There's supposed to be, like, new Star Wars music.
I know.
Oh, my God, I can already hear it.
Wow, this is crazy.
Do you hear it?
Yeah.
It's like, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum.
Oh, interesting.
It's not, like, super loud, though.
Oh, well, I'll wait.
You know, I know a lot of people wanted Star Wars music in Galaxy's Edge from day one.
I always fought against it because I liked hearing the sounds of the land.
It made me feel, like, more immersed, like I was actually in a galaxy far, far away.
And I was really nervous that the music was going to be, like, so loud, like Avengers Campus.
Yeah, Avengers Campus, it's a bit much.
But I like how subtle this is.
I also feel like I can still hear, like, the ambient noise of, like, the critters.
Like, I hear some, like, chirping over there.
I don't know if that's, like, Disney magic or a real animal.
But there still is some atmosphere of, like, the environment as well.
I kind of want to just stand here all day and, like, see how many songs I cycle through.
So we just walked into the actual land itself, and you can still hear the music.
Wow, there's a new flag behind us.
What do those symbols mean? I don't even know.
Yeah, there used to be a First Order flag up there.
So it turns out these banners represent the other communities found on Batuu.
Blue is for Pika, yellow is for Surbot, and red is for Gelma.
So right next to the Thai Echelon is Black Spire Surplus.
This used to be First Order cargo.
They had all the, like, First Order gear.
But they've kind of dirtied it up some.
And it has a lot of, like, helmets that we used to see in Dok-Ondar.
A lot of, like, Stormtrooper and Clone Trooper helmets.
So the shop is owned by two ex-Clone Troopers who fought side-by-side in the Clone Wars
before finding themselves on opposite sides of the Galactic Civil War.
One fought for the Rebellion, the other fought for the Empire as a Stormtrooper.
The two ultimately decided to open this shop together, put aside their differences.
And it now sells, like, Clone Wars gear, Galactic Empire gear.
No First Order gear, although there is some right over here.
But they're gonna be swapping that out, I've been told.
But it really looks like they've, like, dirtied things up.
You know how, like, First Order is kind of, like, clean and new and, like, Apple aesthetic?
This is more of the original Trilogy aesthetic, where, like, it's rusty, there's wires hanging.
Oh, did you know that that yellow pipe stands for mustard?
Okay, I was gonna make that joke.
But I think it looks cool.
What I'm worried about is there's so many helmets in here that have been taken from Doc Onder.
I'm wondering what's put in their place.
Also, if you want to buy a Darth Vader lounge fly in here, they've got you covered.
And his lightsaber actually turns on.
That is cool.
And of course, if you want to buy some helmets, they do have some replica helmets
that you can buy for, like, 150 bucks.
But I think one of the things I'm most excited about is they just released a new Star Wars collection.
It's the Star Wars logo in Arabesh, and it looks so cool.
I know some people online are a little upset because it's not quite the exact Arabesh.
It's kind of like a stylized Arabesh.
I think when you make logos with Arabesh, you gotta, like, take some creative license
to make it look somewhat identifiable.
But I'm totally gonna get the Spirit Jersey and maybe even the Waterfall.
You're not gonna get the whole collection.
I'm gonna get the pin, the hat.
I love this Spirit Jersey, and then I flipped it over.
I don't love the front without, like, stuff on there.
Why do they gotta ruin it?
I mean, I like that.
I like that, but, like, maybe we could, like, rip those off or something.
Much to look at.
Looking at it until he gets what he came for.
Gets who he came for.
Anything from patrol units?
Nope.
Recon?
Negative.
Yeah.
We love our datapads.
Can we have an image scan?
This outpost isn't that big.
How do you dodge Lord Vader?
Maybe you have help.
Lord Vader will demand your attention.
You will maintain order.
The spaceport crew will direct you.
Understood?
It's time.
My seek has proven elusive.
But he will not elude his fate.
Luke Skywalker will answer for his betrayal.
Aid him or conceal him, and you will answer to me.
Troopers!
Maintaining order.
The spaceport crew will direct you.
Excellent.
Vader, I think I saw Luke go that way.
Clear the way, please.
We'll keep an eye on you.
Affirmative, Lord Vader.
Remain back, please.
You know how this works by now.
I have expected you.
This traveler reported suspicious activity in the marketplace.
Traveler, Lord Vader would speak with you.
Your allegiance is noted.
Yes, affirmative.
Follow us, please.
We will be watching this sector closely.
Yes, Lord Vader.
Move aside, travelers.
So, my question is, do you think Vader and Luke will ever meet up, though?
Well, I was asking him, I'm like, would you give up Luke for Vader?
He's like, in a heartbeat.
No problem.
He can't be trusted.
Zero hesitation.
I mean, honestly, same.
Just look at the Disneyland app.
You'll find out where Luke is.
So, should we just go tell Vader, just download the Disneyland app, and you'll find Luke over here at this time.
Yeah.
Do you know how Han Solo got around the moon at Endor, though?
He walked it.
That's a good one.
One thing I was very sure I was going to love is Darth Vader, and he comes out to Imperial March.
Awesome.
I got full-arm chills from that.
And he walked around the outpost.
It was a little hard to hear him.
He called over, like, a little stormtrooper, a little kid dressed as a stormtrooper.
I wanted to say, are you a little short for a stormtrooper?
I didn't.
Too short for a stormtrooper?
A lot of people here.
This is the first day that they're doing this.
When you come here, there's probably going to be a lot less people following Darth Vader and all the new characters, but I'm going to admit it.
It's cool that Darth Vader is in Galaxy's Edge.
I'm sold.
I'm also hearing the Empire music in this area.
The music changes quite a bit.
It is really loud in here, though, so I think they're going to have to, like, do some tweaking so you're able to hear Darth Vader maybe turn down the music a little, turn his, like, helmet up a little.
But that was really cool seeing him.
I do miss Kylo, though.
I'm not going to lie.
Kylo got me flustered every time.
Darth Vader just makes me scared.
Yeah, that's something we should mention.
Now that this area has kind of changed timelines, Kylo Ren isn't here anymore.
Vi Morati isn't here anymore.
Lieutenant Agnon's not here anymore, and Boba Fett isn't here anymore.
And the First Order stormtroopers.
You can still meet Kylo Ren over at Tomorrowland if you have a Disney Visa.
There's a special meet and greet over there.
We should look into that.
I was counting droids.
Now I have to start over.
Thanks.
Trooper, you're a distraction.
So you're probably wondering, how does this affect the timeline in Galaxy's Edge?
So the western side of Batuu is now set in the sequel trilogy era.
And then the eastern side, the place that encompasses the whole outpost marketplace, that is now set in kind of a dual timeline.
So the Age of Rebellion, which is the original trilogy era, and then the New Republic, which is the Mandoverse era.
And that's, like, basically a period of, like, five or seven years.
So they've redressed this area to be a little bit more gritty and a little bit more of that timeline.
And it really is dependent on what characters you're out.
So if you see Mandalorian and Grogu or you see Ahsoka, you know that you're in the Mando timeline.
And if you see Darth Vader and the Imperial stormtroopers, you know that you're in the Galactic Empire timeline.
And you'll never see those characters, like, intersect.
They'll never cross each other.
So the interesting thing is, like, I don't think anybody cares about this anymore.
If you're not going to do it all in one timeline, just have people walk it.
Like, I just don't think the fans care.
But, like, that's the explanation for those of you who do care.
Some people might wonder how the TIE Echelon exists in the Galactic Empire timeline.
What they're saying is that ship was actually built during the Galactic Empire timeline.
And you can see it has the gray and black of that.
When Colin Trevorrow was making Star Wars Episode IX, he was the original director.
He actually had Kylo get, like, one of Darth Vader's old ships.
So, that's their explanation of how it fits.
We're over here at the Millennium Falcon because this is where we're going to find Princess Leia.
And she is in a brand new outfit.
I guess this is from the video game Battlefront 2 and it's also in a comic.
But it's a completely new look for her and I can't wait to see her.
Well, we're around here somewhere.
He's been giving me a lot of missives today.
Look at Leia!
Oh my god, Luke showed up, too.
I'm still on the lookout.
Well, I'll make sure the ship's ready to go.
I heard some young pilots here were actually flying the ship.
Who's flown the Millennium Falcon?
Uh, that scratch right there.
And yet, I don't get clearance to fly the Falcon.
Neither do I.
We've been in the Ghostbusters.
I have gotten the ship, though. Any gunners?
Yeah!
How about leaders of the Rebellion?
Woo!
That's very good.
Here's your general.
Woo!
What brings you to Batuu?
This is like so far off in the edge of the galaxy.
Well, we found the Outer Rim had a lot of details regarding the Empire and we wanted to check it out for ourselves.
But also, Luke said this would be a great place to find some Jedi artifacts.
So I'm here to watch his back.
I hear Doc Ondar has some good artifacts.
Well, yes he does, but I think we'll look for our own.
These would be well hidden.
I don't think he's got all of these just yet.
We hope not, at least.
I hear the Galactic Empire might have landed on the planet.
We've heard there might be some Imperial activity on this place.
Which is yet another reason we've stationed the Falcon here so we can help better protect Batuu.
So where are these Jedi artifacts supposed to be?
I sense this place nearby.
I've heard this place soft.
Has anybody heard of soft?
Have you been inside?
He's not flying. He's got a bunch of junk under the ship.
To ask you, if we see Darth Vader, what should we do?
I would say on high alert.
I would not cause too much commotion with him.
I'm trying my best to keep a low profile.
I'm not sure what he wants on this planet.
But I'm sure he senses my presence.
Yeah, I'm sure he does.
I do sense his.
I'm not as force sensitive as you, but does that feel good?
I think it's fine for now.
That's another one.
That's a different question.
We tried. Maybe you can make it fun.
There he is.
Maybe we'll get ahead of the game.
I gotta say, Leia looks so beautiful.
I love her outfit. I love her hairdo.
Don't get me wrong, I love her classic buns and white dress.
But I love that look.
It was a surprise though because Luke actually came out.
And they had this whole moment where they hugged.
And the crowd went wild.
At first I couldn't see what was going on because I was towards the back.
And I was like, what happened?
And people were freaking out around me.
Like, oh my god!
So that was really cool.
Her and Luke walked around for a little bit.
And Chewbacca came out. I'm waiting for R2-D2.
They were trying to fix the Falcon.
And they were bickering like brother and sister.
They shouldn't try to fix it.
That's Han Solo's job.
We're going to see Han a little bit later today.
But I will say, I love seeing Luke.
But I wish that they could put the characters in different outfits.
I love his black outfit.
But I wish I could see him in his New Hope outfit.
But I guess that wouldn't make sense with the timeline.
Forget the timeline.
Who cares? Nobody cares.
That would be cool if you could come every other day.
And they were wearing different outfits.
But I understand that they can't do that.
Who we ran into, the Galaxy's Edge Explorers.
Yes, Bobby.
And this is Nadia.
They're the experts. The Galaxy's Edge experts.
Follow their Instagram account.
They're amazing.
I love your whole outfit with the Death Star.
So what do you guys think of the changes?
I'm getting used to it.
I'm trying to keep an open mind about it.
All the face characters.
I'm trying to make sure that they maintain
the air of the character.
When Han comes out,
that's going to be a big teller.
I will say,
Leia was surprisingly good.
Leia did really good.
That's what I'm happy about.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the music.
But when we walked in and we heard
the echoes of the soundtrack,
I definitely felt a little bit
like, okay,
it got me in the feels.
Seeing Leia was great.
Leia was my first for Star Wars.
The first anything that I loved.
So it was really great to be able
to interact with her.
But seeing Vader,
I had two really great interactions with Vader.
He even pulled me out of the crowd
to come up with him.
I'm sorry, but Vader was
way better than Kylo Ren.
I loved him so much more.
I'm finding it hard to hear
the characters because the music is so loud.
Leia was as close to us as we are
to each other right now. We couldn't hear her.
We could not hear her.
She's a little soft-spoken
anyway, but still.
Apparently one of the things they aren't going to change
is the dish on the Millennium Falcon.
The version you see is the rectangular dish
that you see in Force Awakens.
You know that Wando Calrissian rips off
the original circular dish
at the end of Return of the Jedi.
So there's no way you can have this
Millennium Falcon
with either of the dishes if you want
this area to represent both
the Mandalorian era and the
Galactic Empire era.
So I guess they're just like,
they're just going to keep it.
So next up, we're going to go grab ourselves a drink at Oga's Cantina.
We're joining some friends.
Cheers!
So we were getting a little bit hungry
and I ordered myself the
Batuu Brine Dew Roots.
This is cucumbers, chili oil,
crispy shallots, and pita chips.
I am a huge fan of
cucumbers with chili oil.
I make it all the time,
every week at home. Peter can attest to that.
I like, when we go to Costco,
I stock up on the cucumbers. I love it so much.
So this looks really good to me.
I love the presentation.
I don't know if it's just because I'm really hungry,
but I'm so excited to eat some cucumbers.
Are you supposed to, like, dip
the chip in it? So this is really good.
It's not spicy at all. It's very
salty. I love the addition of
the fried shallots on top.
And I love eating it
like a dip with the pita chips.
Although I will say, if I'm being honest,
the cucumbers that I make at home are better.
But don't tell Oga that.
But this is hitting the spot right now. It's nice and
refreshing on a hot day.
I'm a big fan of this. What do you think of
the revised Galaxy Z? I love it.
It's a tremendous upgrade
from before. The music
is everything for me right now.
Darth Vader is obviously
an upgrade over Kylo Ren.
The crowds out here are
appreciative. It's all...
What? I love Kylo.
Kylo makes me, like, flustered
in a way that Darth Vader doesn't.
I'm sorry, but you...
Darth Vader will choke you.
Oh, that's true. You're right.
No, I think that Darth Vader is amazing.
He's got a tremendous...
It brings an energy that
wasn't here before. The music brings
an energy that wasn't here before.
You know, as soon as you walk into the land
in a way that you didn't
before, that you're in a Star Wars
land.
But for me, having the new Star Wars music play
when I walk in, it makes me feel like
I'm on a Star Wars planet.
Before, I felt like I was kind of pretending.
I'm like, okay, I'm in
Delaware.
Now I'm like...
I made David laugh.
I did. Hi.
I'm in Delaware.
He's like, you did a Wayne's World reference. I did.
But now when I come in, I hear that music.
Oh my gosh, I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it.
The music just is so
powerful. It makes it so good.
And I love... Peter,
you know this. Princess Kitra is amazing,
but she's wrong. Darth Vader is
better than Kylo Ren. Hey, I like
both. I think we should just have both.
I don't think we should do this timeline
stuff. I think everybody should just be here.
I will say, this is my one thing though.
My favorite character is Lando Calrissian.
And so the fact that he's... That's surprising
me that they don't have him here. I want the
Bespin Lando Calrissian with
that cape and all the cloak.
I want him to walk around with a little bit of attitude.
If you don't have the cape, then what are you doing?
Yeah, what are you doing? Come on. He's got to have the cape.
But the Darth Vader entrance
blew my little mind.
Boom! I couldn't even handle it. I love it.
I'm really happy now.
I just think that people who like the original trilogy
are going to be happy hearing the music.
So they have one new drink here. It's the Carillion Spike
Cold Brew. It's served in a souvenir
DJ Rex mug. It's bourbon,
coffee liqueur, cold brew.
And I think they have
the same drink over in Walt Disney World,
but it's different ingredients.
But how cool is this mug look?
You know, I'm a
fan of Tiki Mugs.
I'm a connoisseur of Tiki Mugs.
I have so many Tiki Mugs in my collection
and this one is
one of the coolest ones I have.
I like that it has DJ Rex in the front
spinning the tunes and then in the
back it actually has the Oged Scantino
logo.
He's making fun of me behind my back, isn't he?
You know, Kylo Ren actually
has a pet chicken.
He named it Kylo Hen.
Here goes.
I think Ketcher's should try this because it tastes like
bitter coffee.
It tastes like a cold brew.
I'm not even going to give it a Peter's.
Let's give Ketcher's going to try this.
Okay, so the real reason we came
in here is we really wanted this mug.
This was like the number one thing that I wanted.
It is so cool.
I think this is like the best one that they've ever done.
But let's try it. I needed some coffee
and it just helps that there's
liquor in it as well.
You're not buying this for the drink. You're buying it for the mug.
I'm sure if you asked for it
maybe if you asked for a different drink they'd put it in it.
I don't know. But the drink
I'd probably give like a 2.5 out of 5.
But with the mug it bumps
it up to a 5 out of 5.
Rex
you're one fun pilot.
I mean DJ.
This song
was a huge hit on Nar Shaddaa.
Never go into debt with a hut.
For this song may be the last
thing you hear before they
vaporize you.
Okay, so how awesome is this mug?
I think this might be my favorite
only because it shows
the inside of Oga's Cantina.
If you look closely you see the little specialty
mugs that they have. Even the
Loathcat Tiki mug that they came out with
a few years ago. And then if you spin around
you have DJ Rex on the back.
I love the pop of color there.
And it's just so cool. This looks like one of those
little critters that they have in the jars up top.
And I love like the
orangish red on the inside. What does it show
on the bottom? On the bottom
it has that new logo.
First edition with that new logo.
That's cool. Wow.
Oh my god. I love it.
Listen, I know that we have a problem with Tiki mugs
but this is a good one.
This one is so niche.
Like, it's the best. And I love
how it has the Oga's Cantina logo
and stuff too. Yeah, it even has the IG
88. Yeah, beer taps.
Beer taps, yeah. So if you're wondering
DJ Rex is still there. They did some light
re-theming inside of Oga's Cantina.
Over on the job board, if you look
at the bottom two entries, they are now
different. Before, one of them
was looking for work for the
Star Wars Datapad. It was basically encouraging people
to use the Datapad. I think they're kind of going
away from that now. And then there was a
listing looking for mechanics for the
Halcyon Starcruiser, which is the Star Wars
Starcruiser, which is now shut down.
So they basically replaced those.
One of them now is looking for
a cantina manager for Oga's Cantina
because I think in the storyline
Oga has just made
a place for herself on the outpost.
In the previous storyline
she had kind of been in control of the outpost.
This is at the beginning of her power reign.
And the second one
is looking for people to
sell their
Imperial, Rebel, Republic
or Separatist gear
to the Black Spire Surplus
which is the new shop
that's right over by the Thai Echelon.
So it's cool that they did some
things, but it kind of feels like
very, you know,
very minor.
We'd like to thank AuraFrames

I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I'm
actually a pretty great gift giver. I like finding

And now back to our adventure. So now
we're back out here by the Millennium Falcon yet
again because Han Solo is gonna
make an appearance and he's wearing an outfit
that's inspired by
his classic look. It's just like slightly different
colors, which I don't know why he can't
just be wearing what he normally wears, but
it looks kind of the same.
Han, what are you doing on this side of
the galaxy? I didn't expect you to be on Batuu.
Well, the Princess is looking to recruit
some new Rebels for the Alliance and
I heard there's a new cantina over here. It's under new
management. There's a pilot.
Check it out.
See if it's my kind of scene. Yeah, I
helped Hondo on a mission. I kind of
did some damage to the Falcon.
I think Chewie's fixing it.
I've got a question for you then. Was that you
that I have to patch up the Durasteel with
now? That was you that did that?
Yeah, that was me. Oh, great. Thank you
for doing that. Look, at the very least
Hondo's paying for it, so there is that.
Just do me a favor and don't fly away again.
Okay. Which one of you
is the better pilot though?
Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry
Chewie. I didn't mean to
Look, to give the guy some credit
we wouldn't be able to do anything without
each other. That's true.
Don't tell the Princess though.
I won't. I won't.
Don't tell the Princess.
I definitely won't.
I'm sorry Chewie. That was me.
That was that mission with Hondo. I'm sorry.
Now we've got to find a good Durasteel guy to patch it up
now.
Give him a wookie
hug. Wookie hug?
Wookie hug. Aww. Aww.
It's just a scratch.
It was a little bit more than a scratch.
Hello. Hi.
Okay, so you seem pretty familiar with the outpost.
Yes. I highly recommend the
coffee. It's great.
The Black Cab Cold Brew?
I've never been here before.
Oh, okay. The food is great.
Get a Ronto wrap in the coffee,
you'll be good.
I'm new to this place.
I've never been here.
Is it a good delicacy around here?
It's so good. You can't go wrong.
It kind of seems like the Wookie would like something like that.
Yeah, Chewie loves it.
Now, my question. Do you know anything about
the cantina over here?
It's under new management.
I haven't checked it out yet. We were just there.
Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
Do you think I would like it? Is it my kind of scene?
It is your kind of scene.
It's not like the one on Tatooine. It's a little more
lively in there.
The worse of the scum stopped by Mos Eisley.
I don't think anything can get worse than Mos Eisley.
Yeah, it's just us in there. We're not scum.
The AC in there is really good, but
I don't know. I know you...
AC. Yeah.
It might be a little bit too freezing for you.
The temperature regulator?
Yeah, like online.
Oh, wow.
We're trying to carbonate it. It didn't work.
Too soon. Get out of here with that.
It took me a while.
How does it feel to be frozen in carbon?
Cold.
The hard-hitting question.
It's like taking a nap,
but you feel being cold the whole time.
You don't feel rejuvenated when you come out of it?
No, you can't see.
It's really great.
Which blaster is this?
The DL-44. Made a few modifications
myself, but
it looks good. A friend of mine lent it to me.
Get yourself a launcher out.
I'll let Sherry know, too.
The carbonite joke?
Come on, Peter. I was trying.
I thought you were doing like a...
I was trying, David. I was trying.
I just couldn't pull it out of my...
I know.
I attempted.
I didn't get it at first, but I was like,
okay, no, it's not bad.
Are we doing a Hoth thing because Hoth is cold?
I don't know.
Too soon. Come on.
When the video first came out of
Han Solo in Galaxy's Edge,
a lot of people online were
not happy with
the wig and stuff. I don't know.
Harrison Ford is an iconic
role. I wouldn't want to try to fill
Harrison Ford's boots.
After actually
meeting Han Solo
in person in Galaxy's Edge, I just want to say
he charmed me.
I enjoyed talking to him.
Yes, I was just going to say,
looks aside, he's the most
engaging character. In terms
of the conversation, I felt more like
I was talking to Han. I felt more like I was talking
to him than I talked to Leia or anybody else.
So, yeah, I would agree.
Next up, we're going to go to Doc Ondar's Den of Antiquities.
We've heard his collection has changed.
Because the timeline has changed, they've moved
all the helmets over to the surplus store.
What's in its place? Let's find out.
If you look around the walls of Doc
Ondar's shop, you might not even notice a
difference unless you know what to look for.
That's where I come in. First up, you'll notice
that a lot of the helmets are gone. They've been
moved over to Black Spire Surplus.
In their place is a bunch of what look
to be cameras. These are actually
holoscanners used by the Gorman
tourists in Andor. In fact,
a lot of the new props are actually from
Andor, including Gorman protest
flags that are hanging right below.
And to the left-hand side of that is an
Aldani drinking horn. And also
from Andor, on another wall, you'll see the
hammer the Time Grappler used to
bang the Best Car anvil on top of the
bell tower on Ferrix. Very
cool. And right below the hammer, you'll see
a bow. This is a screen-used prop
from the Acolyte. It's a Brenda
Coven bow. If you look around at the
other walls, you might find some Brenda
Coven staffs as well. But the new
items aren't just limited to the television
show. There's also some new props from the
movies, including some instruments used
in the Aki-Aki Festival of the Ancestors.
This was the Coachella-like
desert festival seen in Rise of
Skywalker. One of the instruments
from that festival, this long horn right
here, I've actually heard that this was
reused from The Last Jedi in
a now-deleted scene. It's the one
where Rey spots what she believes are bandits
coming to Ahch-To to kill the caretaker
nuns. She rushes down
there to, like, save them, but it's
actually a celebration. And part of that celebration
is music, and someone's using a long horn.
And this is basically just the tip of the iceberg.
There's a lot of items that I was unable
to identify where they're from.
So when Galaxy's Edge first opened, most
of the props in Doc Ondar's were replicas.
They were recreations of props
from the Star Wars movies. From what
I understand, George Lucas kept
most of the props from the original trilogy.
There was some props from
Star Wars, The Force Awakens,
and The Last Jedi that
actually ended up in the queue
for Rides of the Resistance, but most of the props
in Doc Ondar's were not real.
So now,
we are actually getting props from
the TV shows and movies. Like, there's actual
props from Andor and the Acolyte.
But
they're not props that you would recognize.
They're, like, background props. So on one hand,
it's cool that we got
real Star Wars props in Galaxy's Edge
now. On the other hand,
it's kind of lame because they're replacing,
like, iconic props, like
helmets and stuff, but they had to move over to
Black Spire Surplus.
So that's how I feel about it.
Let me know in the comments below. What do you think?
Should the props on the wall of Doc Ondar be...
Do you value them
being real props
over iconic props? Or would you rather
have iconic replicas over
real items?
So not only did they change out
a lot of the props in here, but a lot of the merch
that you can find in here is completely different
now. Like, you could get a Mandalorian
and Grogu puzzle. They have
Funko Pops. There's
Wishables.
There's a bunch of stuff that, like, you could never
find in Galaxy's Edge before. And, like,
that other shop had Lounge Flies.
It's just a very interesting mix
of, like, the lightsabers
and the super nerdy, like, niche things
and then, like, oh, you could get a Babu Frick
Funko Pop, too, while you're at it. I'm wondering
if they just needed stuff to put on the shelves
or if it's gonna stay like this or...
I don't know. I like the characters
way more than I thought I was gonna.
I even like the music. I might think it's a little bit
loud, but coming into here
and seeing all the
stuff on the shelves and seeing, like, generic
Funko Pops and Wishables
and merch you could find anywhere else
around the park bums
me out. Because Dock Hunters used to be
the mecca. It used to be, like,
where you could find all this nerdy
collectibles from Star Wars.
Listen, I don't care if it's
not, like, in-universe, but I just
it bums me out that it's, like, generic
stuff on the shelves right now.
Is that weird? Let me know in the comments below.
But I just wish it was, like,
unique merch to Galaxy's Edge.
This is Zimbabwe. This is actually
Klang. He's from the new Mame Do and Grogu movie
that's coming out. And I think
when you press him, he actually talks.
Oh my god, wait.
Do I love him?
It's moving. Okay, that's
cool. Yeah.
I like it. I like Klang.
I don't know what he's saying,
but I like that he moves.
That's a bad baby.
That's a horrible baby.
That's a bad baby.
So another item that they have just for May the 4th
is they have a Darth Maul statue
and it's pretty cool. He's, like, jumping through the air
with his lightsaber.
And it looks like he's, like, mid-jump.
And if you need your giant Mandalorian
helmet oversized bag,
they've got you covered here.
Yeah. I do want to say that
they still have the helmets and stuff.
They do have lightsabers. They have
some of the collectibles. It's just...
In case you're wondering, this is the way it says
on there. Why does it have to say that?
It says on there. We don't
need it to... People understand what... It says it
on there in case you forgot. Yeah, and if you want a
smaller one, they have one like Grogu
as well. That one's actually kind of cute.
Does it say anything? Oh!
This is the way.
Isn't that a cool one?
Just in case you forgot.
Yeah, I'm surprised it doesn't say the baby
or something. Bad baby.
See, the thing that I don't understand is
there's, like, a bust of an Imperial
Stormtrooper here. Yeah, that's a bust.
Yeah, shouldn't that be over in the Starblast store?
Why is that over here?
And if you need to get a shoulder pad, they have you covered
here. You could get Klang
the N'Zelan that we love. He's
so cute. And then they also have
Grogu in his new armor. And I think
if you touch his head, he might talk.
You can tell it's his new armor because it has that.
Yeah, but it doesn't say this is
the way on there, so... But my question is, how
do you spell Klang? Because over here
it says C-L-A-N-G.
Yeah, the other one was spelled with a K.
And then if you look at the tag,
it just says N'Zelan. So, like, who
is this? We made our way over here to
Katsukaz Kettle, where they have the
brand new salvaged
protocol droid popcorn
bucket, which is C-3PO's
head. And if you push this little button up here,
he actually lights up.
Oh.
I feel like
whenever we see Asoka, she always rolls her eyes
at me. Like, every single time. Yeah.
She's not amused. She's just like, what are you idiots
doing? You're always here doing something
dumb. Anyways, his eyes turn on
and they blink. Or you could have
them just be steady.
Oh. Or you could have them
like slowly turn on and off. I don't
think it makes any noises, though. I think it just lights up.
So, of course, with any popcorn bucket you
wear it around your neck. And the strap feels
like leather. Like, it feels nice.
And you just pop open his head right here
and you put the popcorn right in his
noggin.
It's like a big container for popcorn,
honestly. The
problem with the popcorn buckets is I want all
of them. We actually didn't get this one.
We're buying it for a friend.
But I kind of want to
get one for us, too. But we're
not going to. So, over at
Jewel of Bith, they have a couple new
things. They have a little kid's t-shirt.
And then they have this sweatshirt that looks
pretty nice. It says Black Spire Outpost
and Arabesque. I like the back more than
the front. I don't understand this.
Is this supposed to be a pocket? There's
no pocket there. They also have a bunch of Millennium
Falcon merch in here. A bunch of new t-shirts.
But the real reason why I wanted to come
into the shop is because there's a new
Mandalorian and Grogu pin
and I am a pin collector now.
And they actually still have it. It's limited
edition and they still have it in stock. So, I
might get it. It's Grogu with all the
new Anzellas.
Including Clank. Our boy Clank.
But is it with a C or is it with a K?
Good question.
I think it just says Grogu on it.
So, we finally made our way over here to the Resistance
side of Galaxy's Edge and it's super weird
because once you leave the marketplace
the music just stops. There's
nothing over here besides noises
in the bushes.
I wish they were playing
some of the sequel trilogy music.
I love race theme. That's one of
my favorite John Williams
pieces of music period.
Why aren't they playing it over here?
It's so quiet. It just feels like it's such a stark
difference to have the
Star Wars music and then it just stops.
Over at the Resistance supply there's even
more Millennium Falcon merch. There's a bunch of
different colorful t-shirts which
I love to see and there's a bunch of merch
for Rise of the Resistance which makes
sense because we're in the Resistance part
of Galaxy's Edge. Yeah, it makes sense
but they used to not sell any here
so you couldn't buy any Rise of the Resistance merch.
So finally, I love this pin.
It has Lieutenant Beck
and it has Neem-Num.
Nime-Num. I almost called him
Yub-Nub. I don't know where my brain
is. You always have trouble
saying his name. Neem-Num.
Nime-Num.
Give me more Lieutenant Beck merch and I'll be
happy. They need to bring BB-8
to Galaxy's Edge. Why can I buy a sweatshirt
with BB-8 but we can't meet him here?
Probably because they're afraid his head will
fall off. His head will definitely fall off
and it would be worth it. But look at this.
I know, look at this. So like I said earlier
you can still find Rey making appearances
by the Resistance base
at the entrance to Rise of the Resistance
and I think R2 and Chewbacca
also make appearances over here too
but they can cross the line. They're like
the only characters that can
appear in both sides of Batuu.
I keep seeing everyone take a droid head
around and fill it with stuff. Yeah, they're using
the salvaged parts and they're filling it with
popcorn. Quite delicious. Never heard of that
but I must say I do like scavenging
different parts and using it for, you know.
It's right up your alley. It really is.
Good to be adaptable and then you never know
in case you meet the rest of a droid then you got one on hand.
Exactly. Hook one up, get it all ready and everything, right?
It's very resourceful. Gotta be creative.
May the force be with you. Always.
May the force be with you. So we were expecting her to show
up over by the X-Wing but we actually
found her on the path leading from
the marketplace to the resistance base.
So if you see her
like appearances on the map
you'll just have to find her.
She's roaming. You know what I should have done?
I should have pulled up her theme song and just
blasted it over my phone. I know.
While she was standing there. They need
the Rey theme song. Rey's theme
needs to be playing over there.
What the heck?
We went to Docking Bay Food and Cargo
and there's nothing new specifically
for May the 4th or for
all these new characters. But there is something
that came out in January that we have not
tried yet. And what this is
is the surbot noodles
with crispy marinated
eopie. This is lo mein noodles,
bok choy, ground pork, and
pork rinds. And
eopies are those cute little creatures
that you can find on Tatooine that kind of look like
a camel. I feel bad
eating them but I'm sure it's
going to be delicious. So there wasn't any description
of what the spices are but it has a little
bit of a kick to it.
I love the flavor. It almost
reminds me of the dewback noodles that
they had a long time ago. Not
as good as that or as
spicy as that.
But you can kind of taste a little bit of
good flavor. I think what threw me
off was the pork rind.
So I have this theory
the cuter the Star Wars
creature is, the better it tastes.
I still have yet to taste pork
but I bet they're delicious.
But yeah, this is pretty tasty.
I give it like a 4 out of 5.
So we decided to go into Droid Depot
and they've done some light retheming
in here as well. So originally
this was set in the sequel
trilogy, obviously. And
in that era, BB droids
are commonplace. Because this
is now set in the original
trilogy era, they had
to like paint and age
the BB droids to make them
look like they're more prototypes.
So they're like different colors
and have panels missing
and stuff. Kind of like the
Mubo family.
The earlier members. This is so ridiculous
that they had to come up with all this.
But the earlier members of the Mubo family
they're kind of like prototypes.
Do we need to do this?
No.
But they did.
Anyways, I came in here because I was looking
for one specific item and I found it.
They came out with droid factory
figures of the little
BD droids that they have
in Galaxy's Edge. And you know I have a
droid shelf, so I gotta buy these guys and put
them on my droid shelf. And
I just love them.
My favorite's the green, obviously.
So according to the Disneyland app, on May
21st there's actually gonna be a BD
droid popcorn bucket.
You might have to come back and get that.
Yeah, I might need to get that.
What color do you think it's gonna be? Hopefully green.
Right? Is it just me, but when I
see this written, I can
imagine his voice.
Well, excuse me!
Excuse me!
Excuse me! But can you imagine
the beeps and boops? Beep boop!
Beep-o-bop. Beep. Excuse me!
Was that a good C3PO?
Your C3PO impression needs
some work. Well, excuse me!
Oh my god. Excuse
me!
Excuse me! It's not getting any
better. Excuse me!
We spent the entire day in Galaxy's Edge
and I gotta admit, the
music is my favorite thing, which is surprising
to me because I honestly thought
I was gonna hate the music, but John
William's score just brings in
emotion and connection
to Star Wars to this land.
The characters are cool. I know
a lot of people wanted to meet the original
trilogy characters and
I don't hate that. I honestly
think they need to go further with
it. I'd like to see them
add more characters.
We don't even need divisions
of where
the timelines go. Do you know what I mean?
Just throw it all
at it. If you're gonna do it, just do it.
I agree with you. The music, right
now, just listening to it, I wanna start crying.
I love it so much. It's a great
addition to this land. We're
finally on our way out and we saw a bunch of people
standing around looking up in the trees
and they actually added some original
trilogy parrots.
From the original trilogy. They're not from the
original trilogy. And they're animatronic
parrots up in the tree. I've never seen parrots
in Disneyland before. I've seen crows.
Yeah, so in Southern California there's a bunch
of wild parrots that fly around
and I've only ever seen them one other time
but I've never seen them in Disneyland.
Usually in Disneyland you see the crows
while here in Galaxy's Edge they have
parrot hour, not crow hour, parrot hour.
We'll never see them again.
I know. They like flew away.
It was magical to see them. It was.
But then they all left and I was like, okay, well it's time to leave.
The music changed. That means
time for us to leave. So this is the end
of the vlog. We actually have a couple more stops.
First up, we're gonna go to Tomorrowland
to Star Trader, see if there's any new Star Wars
merch over there. So we made our way to
Star Trader and they actually have a new
Hyper Space Mountain t-shirt. Last year they
released the first ever one. I bought that
and I feel like this design is
so much cooler. Do I need it?
Yes. I like this one.
It says, can I get a beep boo?
Can I get a beep boo? This is one of my
favorite new lounge fly bags.
It's Grogu. I've actually been wearing him
all day and I keep getting compliments.
You can find him inside of Star Traders here.
I love that he's like fuzzy
and then on the back it says Grogu
and he's eating a frog.
I actually didn't realize that it said
Grogu. Is that a thought bubble or
is he saying nothing? I think he's just
enjoying it. He's like, mmm.
It has something on the side too. Yeah, it has a little froggy
guys. I almost feel bad for
those little frogs.
But they taste so good.
They taste so good. That's the problem. And of course
they have some new do-it-yourself plush ears.
They have the Mandalorian, they have Grogu
and then they have Wicket
for some reason as well.
Great combo if I do say so myself.
I saw some girl earlier who had
like ten of them. There's a brand new
indoor collection and I love this
green color. There's like a
baseball jersey and it says 83
on there because that's the year that Return of the Jedi
came out. But my favorite thing is
probably the ears. I love the little
silhouettes of the Ewoks on there
and I love that it almost looks like
tie-dye or kind of like camo
like the ponchos that they wear
on Endor. Yeah.
And there's even like a little crossbody bag that has
I think it says Star Wars and then it has
the Ewoks on the side which is
very nice. I feel like they designed
this collection for me. So in Doc Ondar's
we showed you there's a new Wishful Bounty Hunter
collection. Well they have them on display
here and I think
the boss one is the best
out of the collection. That's the one I would want.
I also found this shirt which I'm guessing
is for the 4th of July. Do you remember
those popsicles? Yeah. Like am I imagining
that? Did they have a Stormtrooper popsicle like
that or am I imagining that? So you know how everybody
loves to put stickers on their Stanley Cuff?
I'm guilty of it. Mine is covered in
stickers. Well now Disneyland is
actually selling stickers specifically
to put on water bottles
and I wanted to show you some of my
favorites. There's a lot of good ones but some
of my personal favorites. This one that says
Bougie and it has
Marie. This one that says
Wanted for being too cute.
This one says
Yoda Yoga Studio
and then this one says Excuse Me
Pardon Me Coming Through. There's
actually another one down here. It says
Slay Sis with Miss Piggy but it's locked out
for some reason. So maybe a lot of people
are stealing that one. I don't know. I like that this
is like a cheaper option. Disney
merch, Disney in general is expensive
but this is even expensive.
It's $6
or $5 if you
buy three. One of my favorite things about this store
if you go all the way to the back, you could
actually find this wall that has a bunch of autographed
photos of people who are
in the Star Wars movies. So you could get
like one of Lando Calrissian, you
could get one of the guy
who played C-3PO but
my personal favorite and I don't know why I
haven't bought it yet. You could get one of
Droopy McCool with an autograph of the guy
who played Droopy McCool.
Besides Wicked, Droopy McCool is like my favorite
Star Wars character. Bring him to Galaxy's
Edge. They also have one of the Ewoks too.
Yeah, that's cool. But the
Droopy one is just too good. I love
Roosevelt shirts and they're now finally
making Disney Parks exclusive
Roosevelts. This one might be my favorite.
It's basically those
bedsheets from Star Wars but it's
for Star Tours. You got
DJ Rex. Before he was a DJ, he was
a captain. You know that, right?
It has the ship. It has C-3PO.
I already bought this a couple
weeks ago but I wanted to show you.
I know. I'm surprised you didn't wear it today.
I almost did but like
I thought this was more appropriate
with Darth Vader. That's true.
Another new release and of course I had
to get it. It looks a lot like my backpack.
It has Rogu on there and I love that it
says Disneyland. But I just
love his little face. It's so cute.
I wasn't going to get it but then I tried
it on and Peter was like, that looks so good on you.
I was like, okay, I guess I'll buy it.
Next up, we headed to the Star Wars Trading Post in
Downtown Disney because they have this new thing called
Star Wars Galactic ID. I saw
pictures of this online
and I knew that we had to get one. There was a
line around the store. Yeah, it's super
popular. There are six to choose from.
It's basically like a Star Wars
version of a photo booth but it's in
canon.
It's like a Star Wars ID card.
You can be a good guy, you can be a bad guy,
you can be a pilot, you can be a stormtrooper.
You can be a New Republic
fighter. There's
six different things you can be. You go in
there, you basically take your photo, you
pick what you want to be.
We just got ours. We have not looked at
them. We're going to peel them and look at them
for the first time.
I still don't know which one you went with.
They're super
cool. Oh my god, my head is
gigantic.
Oh no.
That looks
crazy. And because we're
wearing glasses, we both decided to take our glasses
off so you look insane.
Yeah, because the problem is there's like this ring
light and it basically shows all over
your glasses. It looks bad.
Yours looks awesome.
Okay, I like yours
a lot more than mine. You were like sitting too
close to the camera. I was back.
I don't know, I was back. Yours like cuts off
your neck.
You look insane.
Were you meaning to make
that face? Yeah.
I mean, I made three different faces
and it lets you pick which one you want.
I made two serious smiling faces
and then I decided to go with the kind of goofy
one. Wow, this looks
ridiculous. Mine looks awesome.
These are really cool. I
love how they're holographic and they're
see-through.
I'm just going to use this instead of my driver's license from now on.
It's funny because our friend
HondoSofi used to make these
IDs on Etsy, like a better
version of this. It was like a
three-dimensional printing
and they were awesome and it's
cool that Disney saw
that and obviously was inspired
to make these.
They should actually sell these in the park
because that looks like it's in-theme
and in-universe. Yours is so bad
that I kind of love it.
I love it. I love the
metallics. Yours is
great though. Yeah, I decided to be a Stormtrooper
Peter's X-Wing. So it replaces
your body, so it actually gives you the
uniform and mine, my head just
looks way too thick.
But I think it's worth it.
We had a fun day at Disneyland and Galaxy's Edge.
We got to meet
a ton of you guys. One of our
friends gave us this button and I gotta say
I'm kind of sad
that Adam couldn't be there. He would have
loved this. Oh my god, he would have had the best day.
It was so much fun. I had a great time.
Yeah, I hope
Disney does more of this. I hope
like, just get rid of the
timeline. Just have more characters, more fun.
Bring BB-8. We want BB-8.
Yeah. The only thing I want to say
is, no fun K-Pops
and puzzles and stupid stuff.
But
other than that, we loved it,
right? Yeah, it was so much fun. I can't believe
we were here all day.
If you want to see what we did last year
at Disneyland, we'll put the Galaxy's
Edge video right over there. I want to say thank you
to some of our Patreons. That includes Keith and
MW. Thank you guys so much. Thanks for watching
everybody. We'll see you on the next adventure.
May the force be with you. Bye!
